Just finished committing myself to Jan weight loss goals, and now for the exercise goals hmmmmm
lets keep it simple and open
600 minutes of workout between now and the end of JAN. That is basically 30 minutes a day, I can do that! Right?
Ok I am off to get started! BYE

NSV!! Some will think this is funny, that is ok . Went to yoga classes tonight. I thought I would try something I hadn't done before. I fell flat on my butt . Only thing that hurt was my pride. Not to be out done. I tried some stretches. I can now officially kiss my left and right big toes!! wooooo hoooo!!!!! Never had that kind of flexability before. My hips have always been too tight. Then I tried putting my forehead on my knees. I can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yoga classes are paying off. I am thrilled.

Default almost mid-month report in:

My goal is 20 exercise "events" this month and more stretching. I'm on track as of today with nine done (11 remaining). Happy with that. The stretching has been less successful.....

Dixiemae - great progress! I am brand spankin' new to yoga and the first lesson I've learned is: Barely moving is *really* hard. Ow. The second lesson I learned is: Yes, I do actually need to be *reminded* to breathe. ;P

30/60 today
525/1500 this month

I strained an ab muscle yesterday or I strained it during a workout and noticed it when I tried to launch out of bed to answer a child's cry for help. Anyways, I'm clearly still working out, I just do alternative exercises/poses whenever I feel a twinge.

Any experience on how long to let this muscle rest?

DixieMae-Yay on the NSV! Flexibility is a very good thing!

BFM-I'd give it a day or two and then try gentle movements with it and work back up slowly. Recovery times can vary quite a bit. Just monitor it day by day.
