A few quick shout outs:

Mkyice: congrats on your loss! I know what you mean about always hoping it was a little bigger...but you're moving nicely in the right direction!

Farn: Great attituide! We all slip up once in a while...losing a few battles is OK as long as we win the war

Misspriss, Susie and KDM: Great workouts, ladies!

Everyone else: hope you're having a good "hump" day!

Me: Staying OP, but my evil husband bought peanut butter M & M's this week. Usually I can stick with my own "treats" and leave his alone, but I've had TOM and they've been irrresitable! Peanut butter M & M's are the DEVIL! I'm happy to say I've accounted for them and have stuck to reasonable portions, but not a good way to "spend" my calories. (Pretty much ate my workout calories back the last few days!) Hopefully he'll eat the rest of the bag tomorrow and I won't have to worry about them anymore.

WI is on Friday. Hope to see a decent loss...maybe a post-TOM woosh?

Susie - I love the 30 day shred, but it's hard work! I haven't done the last chance one, but I can only imagine it's not what you'd call a walk in the park, based on the show.

Krista - sounds like your experiment is going well. I should try something like that... I have given up Diet Coke for now, but that's mostly to get more water in - instead of soda with lunch, I have another 24oz bottle of water so I figured it all helps.

Aluxa - usually for me, about two days after an over-indulgence is when I see it either on the scale or in my now-snugger-waistbands. Takes a bit of time to show up but boy, it always does!

Ashley - I don't cook, believe me. Anything beyond mixing and shoving in an oven is too much. These quiches are super easy. I mixed six eggs, about 1/4c milk, 1/4c shredded cheese in a big bowl. Steamed some broccoli and chopped it very finely. Sauteed red pepper and onion in olive oil. Mixed the whole lot into the egg stuff. I dropped a smidge of olive oil into each muffin hole - I had a 24 muffin pan (like I said, teeny tiny!) then spooned the mix into the pans. Baked at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. My only suggestion is to use a silicon pan because getting these bloody things out of the metal pan was a nightmare!

Well, today was a good day food-wise. I stuck to my plan all day and even ate my lunch outside in the sunshine! I worked out this morning and I feel it now - slightly sore but not in pain. Tomorrow will be a long day as I won't be able to work out due to the early flight and I'm at the mercy of whoever is preparing lunch... oh well, moving on!

Default hey...

I'm really just checking in... reading these posts it looks like yall are getting some good progress here! I'm glad, but am sorry that I haven't been doing personals... I'm a bit discouraged with even coming on lately, I can't seem to make these extra lbs budge... and TOM is late again... I guess we can call it normal now for this to happen. I exercise between 30 and 75 min most days, alternating between walking, my trampoline, the ab thing, my bikes, weights, and the gazelle most often.

Today I will probably not exercise. We'll see if just waiting it out helps...

On that note, I'm stressin lately, between these lbs, my kid's school officials being (beeeep), and an impending final paper that's not quite done. I'm sure eventually it will change.. or most of it anyway.

Well I'm not happy, I thought I was farther along than I am. With all this working out and eating right, I was sure I would be fitting better in the size 18 than I am. I don't know if it's the stores I'm going to or if I just need to buy some things and keep them to try on for progress checks. I really thought I was doing better. With that in mind, I changed my calories from 1443 to 1200. I will continue with my workouts as they are to see if I get a push downward. I really want to be in a size 16 by May 16. I will be in a size 16 but then.

So what's up this morning chicks? I hope everyone is doing well and making great progress. I'm really looking forward to see how many of us make goal in this challenge. There are some great progress reports. I also noticed that there are some that have made goal... Those of us still pushing...we can do it!!!

Good morning everyone!

Hope your day is going just swell so far! I am having a pretty decent day already, down another pound, and I have time to exercise, so that makes me happy! It feels like I am losing this weight rather quickly, but I do think that some of it is just water weight that I had gained and plus the shock from my body finally eating a controlled amount of calories again!

KDM: wow good for you! I dont think I would ever be able to cut out bread, we are best friends!! haha I should actually stop weighing myself everyday too, it drives me nuts 3/4 the time when the scale has not budged or has fluctuated up. It can be very depressing

Northern: haha I feel your pain on those dang M&M's!!! I feel like as soon as I go on a diet, that's when my family starts bringing out their hidden stashes of junk food, just to taunt me.

julesp: thanks for that recipe, those actually sound amazing!! oh and it makes me feel better knowing that there are other people who were born without a martha stewart in them!! haha all the other women in my family can cook really well (that probably explains some of this dang weight I need to lose) and I'm like...um...let's just get take-out?! haha

misspriss: good luck on your first day of work!!!

nightangel: don't stress!! i know that sounds easier said that done, but you are working hard and it will all work out in the end!! (how cheesy does that sound, but it's true! )

jigglefree: you've been doing so awesome this entire time, don't be discouraged!! Maybe you should stick with the same brand when you try on clothes or new jeans? Working retail and I'm sure you know this too, a size 16 in one brand, may not be a size 16 in another. I work at a store where even the sizes from the same clothing line range, so you have to try EVERYTHING on because a Small may fit like a M or a XL may fit like a Small. You will definitely make your goal by the 16th!!!

Well I am off to work out and then to class. Feel like a bad person, I have been skipping some of my morning classes lately, just haven't had the motivation to get up and go and now that it's the last few weeks of the semester I should really start attending again!! Well, I'm off! Have a good day!

KDM: I will share pics when I see a real change between the before and after I will travel to Argentina in June and I do not know how I going to do to stay in plan.

Julesp313: I think that my overindulgence was not so bad because yesterday my scale showed me that I have lost a pound and I feel my clothes the same. I have been on plan for almost 2 months without eating out of plan until last Sunday night when I get a large piņa colada and I shared a chocolate mousse based dessert. I try to avoid eating out of plan because I’m afraid of being unable to come back to healthier choices.

NightAngel: I do not know if it is the same for you but when I’m under pressure my TOM comes late.

Jigglefree: I do not think that you should reduce your calories. Sometimes clothes’ sizes change from brand to brand. I’m currently using some 16, 14, and 12 size jeans. However, in dresses I’m still 16 although my shirts size is 12.

Farn: and with your classes.

I've been doing a little research on Super Foods; Thermogenic Foods and Diuretic Foods.

I think I'm going to make up a stir-fry recipe tonight with Broccoli (sf); Salmon (sf); Asparagus (df); parsley (df); artichoke hearts (df); celery (df); onion (sf, tf); ginger (tf); ground red pepper & jalepeno (tf). I'll let you know how it comes out.

Has anyone tried Quinoa? I think I'll give it a try and review. I thought it might be good to mix in with the above and make a hearty and wayyyy healthy casserole type dish with it.

I'll drink unsweet iced tea (df) with it.

For dessert, a fruit salad made up of Melon (df); Blueberries (sf) and apples (sf) sprinkled with a little honey(sf) & cinnamon(sf).

Yum! Doesn't that sound good?

I'll give a report!

Aluxa: it sounds like you did fine with your little splurge. I've determined that to live life this way forever more, we have to have little splurges and then get right back at it! I'm glad your scale was kind to you :O) I look forward to seeing your pictures and hearing about your trip!

Hey chics!

I got my workout in this morning and im on OP with my eating...

Jigglefree-Please don't get discouraged...i was going to suggest maybe increasing your calories just a little...perhaps 1600 for a few days then go back to what your use too? Maybe your body has adjusted to your calorie intake? It has happened to me so many times...thats why i confuse it once a week with a cheat meal. I also agree with Farn about sizes in some brand names...i have a pair of 12's that are loose on me and a pair of 14's that are tight,LOL

Susie-Ive never tried Quoina but always wanted too. Ive seen it in the grocery stores. How was your dinner?

Farn-Glad to hear you having a good day!!

Lori-How ya doing girl...i hope your breathing is better,we sure do miss you!!

Hello to everyone! Work went well today! I can't believe i have my own desk that is so awesome!! Ive never had my own desk before,LOL. Its just nice to be working again!

My workout was great this morning until my computer suddenly shuts down for updates I was SO PISSED...i was about 20minutes into my workout. I moved over to the living room and finished another 10minutes but I was still pissed. My HR lowered and everything, arg! But it was fun!!! I was proud of myself and kinda liked it! I was the only one up at 5:20am

Hi everyone!

I can't remember the last time I posted in this thread, but it's been a while. I'm sorry about that I don't know if I'm going to reach my weight goal for this challenge unless some kind of miracle happens... I've been stuck at the same weight for about two months. 111-112 lbs. seems to be my "number". I was hoping to get down to 108 for this challenge, but it doesn't seem to be happening.

I did fit into size 2 pants though, and now I think I may want to measure myself again. Haven't done that in a while. The pants I tried on are now too large! Now I seem to be fitting into a smaller size.

Oh well, gotta go! See you later!

Susie- I tried Quoina, I love it. I made it once with diced red peppers and onions. I gained weight from it and never ate it again.

I did well today, had 1060 cal. I discovered that if i eat another form of lean protien w/ my greek yogurt and fruit for lunch, I am much more satisfied and full. I wasn't even hungry for dinner, but I ate it anyway. I lost 2 ounces when I weighed in this morning, that was depressing. I have 1.7 lbs to go.

Hello again.

Aluxa - Thanks for the encouragement. I only ate 1200 calories and drank over 2 liters of water. I will be getting my shred in when I get off the internet. Waiting on hubby to go to bed but he has to watch the weather report....
