Hello Chicks! Thanks to all for the support, it really helps me. I had 1260 cal. today, a little higher than usual. I just wanted to eat eat eat! I wasn't even hungry. I lost 1 lb, 1 ounce when I weighed in this morning, so I now have 2 lbs to go for the challenge. I hope I didn't mess it up today!

Krista - thanks! The post-wedding weight needs to go - it's hung around for over seven years now!

Susie - I was in Target last night and I stood in front of the fat free Pringles for probably five solid minutes before I could actually walk away without buying them. I have a total "chip" tooth, not a sweet one, so that was a huge accomplishment for me! Feel good about passing up those donuts - you'll see it on the scale and be so glad you did!

Fruitlady - I used to use Sparkpeople until I got an app for my iPod. I liked it, but I haven't used Fitday so I can't really speak to that. I would say there are enough free ones out there that I wouldn't pay for one, but hey - I'm cheap!

Ashley - the quiches are actually very calorie friendly - I worked it out to be around 25 calories per quiche. It would have been lower if I'd used Egg Beaters instead of eggs but I read that you do need some fat to make them turn out well, and as I was using low fat cheese and fat free milk, I figured I'd use the eggs. For 100 calories, four of these (and they are tiny - like a half dollar size), they are really satisfying. I think it's all the protein in them!

Jigglefree - I've heard baby weight is hard to shift. I don't have kids so I just keep blaming the wedding! Probably should start blaming the husband next...

Aluxa - the scale can be your best friend and your worst enemy. It took me a long time to look at it as only one way of measuring progress - now I take measurements, check how my clothes fit, how well can I run up a flight of stairs, etc. But man - I still want to beat my scale with a baseball bat some days!

Me - took a client to lunch today, which is usually a nightmare for the calories. But we went to a bbq place and I had a chicken bbq salad, hold the cheese and croutons, dressing on the side. I noticed if I eat too much full-fat dairy, I get really stuffed up - I'm not allergic but I know dairy can cause stuffiness and as my low fat stuff at home doesn't, I can only assume it's the full fat stuff that does it. I'm a bit worried about Thursday - I have to fly to LA for the day and traveling makes food choices way trickier. Luckily I can get my usual breakfast in, and I'll be taking some sensible snacks, but lunch and dinner are at the mercy of other people, so I'll just make the best choices I can and go with that!

I hope my experiment is going to work! I've been doing double workouts since Sunday but eating a bit more calorie wise between 1500-1700. Today was my highest calorie day at 1691 and I hope it isn't too much. We'll see, I guess.

I have one more double workout tomorrow and I'm planning to keep my calories at low 1500's tomorrow.

I'm going to take Thursday as my off exercise day and keep my calories lower that day no more than 1400.

Still no diet sodas this week. Today is the first day I was tempted, but I prevailed. And I completely didn't even have a tiny urge to stop at the donut shop this morning!

Come on One-derland!!

Fruitlady: I'll bet you'll do fine, try not to stress over it.

Jiggle: I'm doing my best to pave the way for you :O)

Farn: I'm glad you're back on track - yay for the pound outa there!

Jules: Way to go beating those Pringles!

Ok, back to watching Biggest Loser. I'll bet we'll have new CC converts after this show when Koli got in trouble for not keeping his calorie count! Danny, last year's winner told him it was the only way to really do it.

farn--thanks...you should def. take pics and watch your progress...it's amazing! and very motivating... to see the change is awesome!!

jiggle--your new WO seems great...I love adding some inclined walking when I'm on the TM...Good Luck fittin into that skirt! with the way you WO, it should be in no time!!!

aluxa--thanks girl! as for noticing the change w/yourself in your first 25lbs, I'm sure it's there, but since you look at yourself every day, you prob. don't recognize it...take some pics now and then again in 20 or so pounds...you'll be surprised!!! Congrats on not gaining while out of town!!!

fruit--congrats on the loss! and good job gettin back on track!

jules--Good Luck traveling! I agree that eating out is a nightmare, but I'm sure you'll do just fine choosing the right options

susie--I"m sure you're experiment is gonna work..sounds like you're doin awesome! ONEderland is pounding on the door! lol

As for me...well it's day 13 of my so-call experiment, and I'm still feeling good...the front office staff at work brought in several different goodies today...so I kinda cheated just a little...but only had a taste of one thing...so I'm not gonna punish myself too badly...once again, I'm excited for Friday for my WI...it's still driving me crazy not weighing every day...but it also was motivating last week seeing the numbers be down so much, instead of seeing .4 or .6 per day...so I dunno...I may or may not go back to daily weighing after this monthly experiment...we shall see...

Default so...

I'm fighting off a few lbs that I gained and it's going slowly. It could be that my TOM is due any day now though...hopefully a whoosh at the end of all this.

Default Im starting a new job tomorrow!

Lots of things going on the last few days! First off,i had a job interview yesteday...was a very nervous sack of potato's Then i find out later in the day that I GOT THE JOB, now the nerves are kicking in agian BIG TIME. I posted this in another area but will post it here too, since you guys are my peeps
I just wanted to hear some support/encouragement from all those hard working moms out there! Im starting a full time position tomorrow and i haven't worked a full time job in over 11 years Ive got two kids (5yr and an 8yr old) and taking care of them,my husband and the house chores wears me out. Now im going to be working 8-5 every day ....how did you do it at first?

I know once i get into the swing of things it won't be so bad but im so nervous, what if i can't handle it all..sigh!

so with that said...todays workout is a dog walk(i will miss those in the mornings) then a full body weight lifting workout!

Night Angel~crossing my fingers that you will get your Whoosh!!!

KDM-Im trying not to weigh everyday...it is motivating to see the scale drop a little everyday but then again, its a real bummer to not see that. Good job on not punishing yourself...i had a little celebration dinner last night and i told myself i wasn't going to beat myself up over it...

Susie-I watched TBL last night too, i thought it was hilarious when the players teamed up and threw the trainers in the mud!!!! Jillian took off didn't she? She must not like mud too much,LOL(don't blame her)

Farn-Good job getting your workouts in before school! Glad to see you back!

Hello to everyone I missed..gotta scoot and get those workouts in.

Gooooood Morning Ladies!!!!

I'm feeling really wonderful today. I decided yesterday that on the 14th of every month I would take pictures to see my progress. I noticed last night that my rolls are getting smaller!!!

Get your cheerleader outfits on today because we have to do a cheer this morning!!

Here a little there a little the weight is coming off!!

Yes I feel good today and I'm ready to go to the gym for an awesome workout.

Misspriss - Congrats on the new job!!. I work full time, have a 2yr old and my husband. At first it was hard because I had been single for 43 yrs and then I got married and had a baby. So the juggling of work and family was challenging. It seemed like I would never catch up on my sleep. But it has gotten easier. I have a strict schedule and the family had to get on it...both of them rebelled at first but most people will resist change and order. You can do it. The good thing for you will be your kids are older and can do some things for themselves. House work is mostly done on weekends. I will keep the kitchen clean daily but everywhere else gets a quick straightening up during the week so I can tolerate it. I'm kinda OCD when it comes to the house. YOU CAN HANDLE IT!! JUST KEEP BREATHING!!

Lets have fun today!!

Goal reached! Maybe I set it too low? Oh well. I still have to stick to my gym challenge.

JulesP: for your lunch. Sometimes it is really hard to make good choices. I know that the scale can be a nightmare, especially around TOM. However, I felt really relieved to see that the scale had not move after a pampering weekend. I have clothes in all sizes (from 16 to 02) and they are my other method to check how I’m doing. However, after an indulging weekend I could not see a difference on clothes so I needed to check the scale.

KDM:
thanks for the tips and encouragement. I started my journey just when I arrived from a trip to Costa Rica, so I will check the pictures from both trips to find the differences.

Misspriss78: for you new job!

Ricepapr:

My update:
SW: 177.7
CW: 172.6 (3.6 to go)
GW: 169
WL: 5.1

Oh my goodness - I just did the Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout HIIT dvd and I'm d.y.i.n.g.! My arms are so noodly I can hardly type!

If the 30 Day Shred is anything like that, my hat is off to y'all who do that!

I did 2 laps around the subdivision this morning (1.2 miles) and I ran from hydrant to hydrant which is a little more than 3 football fields. That's big for me!

"One-derland, come to Mama!"

Ok, off to do my TM for the day and then I'm done! Hallelujah tomorrow is my day off!

Well another good day!! Down another pound, which is really helping me get back into the groove of things! I have to realize I'm in for the long haul, so it's ok if I fall off every once in a while, as long as I get right back up, I'm good to go!

julesp: they really do sound amazing!! I would ask for the recipe but I am SUCH A TERRIBLE COOK haha that they probably wouldn't turn out for me. I screw up mac n cheese!! haha. 100 calories is not bad at all especially for a little treat!! They do sound tasty! oh and I hate how sometimes you just need "fat" for something to work, have you ever tried to make homemade pizza with fat free/low fat cheese? It just doesn't melt well and doesn't stick to the dough.....not good. well maybe that was just another one of my terrible cooking adventures haha

susieyarb: double workouts?!?! crazy lady!!!! haha jk, just very motivated, which is inspiring!!!

KDM: I think I was MIA, but what is your experiment consist of?!

Nightangel: I hear ya on that whoosh!!

misspriss: thanks!! and congratulations on the job!!! I am always a nervous wreck too before interviews and I swear I usually make a fool of myself. haha

ricepapr: congrats on reaching your goal!!!

night--as I've said before, TOM is the devil! lol it always screws w/my head...am I not doing enough to lose, or is it that stinking TOM?!?!?

miss--CONGRATULATIONS!!! wow, a full-time job after 11yrs of staying at home dealing w/"mom" duties...SHOULD BE A BREEZE!! LoL but I agree with what Jiggle said...do what you can and move on...you'll have the weekends to catch up...and if everything is not done to how you're used to, try to move past it...create a "new" way you like things to be done given your new schedule...What kind of job did you get?????

Ms. Cheerleader, oh I mean Jiggle --- Good idea taking pics every month...congrats on the smaller rolls...doesn't it feel sooo good?!?!?!?

rice--CONGRATS!!! Goal met 2wks early! GOOD JOB!! Keep it up!

aluxa--are you gonna share the pics??? I bet costa rica is beautiful!!!

susie--TBL Last Chance WO...sounds good...where'd you get it?? walmart? online?? Can't wait to hear your success come scale time on Friday!???!!!

farn--my "experiment" is something I'm doing just for April...1)No weighing every day...2)No bread, potatoes, rice, OR pasta....3)NO chocolate or donuts...I felt like I was in a rut and wanted a "jumpstart" for WL......you're exactly right about falling off the wagon...we're all human and we're all gonna fall off once in a while...the best thing to do is realize and get right back on!! WAY TO GO gettin back on track and droppin a pound!!!

as for me, I'm doin good...did my own hand weights and WATP workout while watching american idol on the DVR this morning...might do the TM later tonight...the weekend is my 4day weekend off so who knows what I'll get into...definitely yard work and maybe a run outside...**Anxiously awaiting Friday for my WI**

Today is WI day. I am down 1.4 lbs. from last week. I wish I was more excited about it since I know that it is a good loss, but I was really wanting to see something a smidge bigger.
I hope everyone's day is going well. I am stuck sitting around the house for a while (waiting on a delivery).
