Ok, so I usually take my measurements on the 4th because I started on Jan. 4. But with Easter and all, I didn't get it done and decided to just do it today on my weigh in. . .
I've lost 14.5 inches in one month and 5 days!!
I take from my waist, bust (both bra band and around breasts), hips, thighs, arms, neck, calf.
I'm really pleased with that AND my jean capri size 10's are up to my bootie now!! My legs are totally in them!
Wanted to stop in to say we are sounding good. Sounds like we are getting a lot of progress in for this Challenge.
JD - Congrats on making goal. You Rock!!
KDM - Expecting to hear a good report today on your weigh in. Jules - Glad you're feeling better. Susie - You do look younger. So is that one of the benefits of weight loss NightAngel - on the two pounds.
Okay I started doing my twice a day workouts again. To me it seemed like I was making slower progress. But this morning I put on a pair of pants that I have been wearing comfortably and they are loose and I can pull them down without undoing the button and zipper. I tried on a dress I have had in the back of the closet that was impossible to get in last month but it fits now. So I know goal is within my grasp. I have a bit more to loose to get to that muffin top 16. I still think that's funny to be looking forward to a muffin top as a sign of my weight loss. I have to be in a 16 comfortable by May 16. because I have some photos to compare my now body to my body from last year on my daughter's birthday. I'm excited about it too.
Today is a new day to press towards the mark of the prize of health!! Lets go for it today.
Fruitlady: for your patio. In my home I’m the one who fix all, although my husband has a construction company. The shoemaker’s son always goes barefoot.
NightAngel, Suisieyarb, and Jigglefree: on your weight loss.
Thanks, everyone, for the "well" wishes! I'm feeling much better today - still sniffling and coughing but nowhere near as bad as I have been.
Jigglefree - you are a true cheerleader! Thanks for the uplift in your posts!
Susie - I love that measurements will often show more progress than the scale. Your results are great - must be very motivating!
NightAngel - I love horse riding. I grew up with horses and then quit when I went to school and started working. Now in my late 30's, I am beyond thrilled to have my own horse again - and even better, my mother has one too! She took up horse ownership at the grand age of 68! I am in awe of her, I tell you. Congrats on your loss too!
OK, confession time - need to get this out so I can move past the pissiness that I let myself do this - yesterday's intake:
B'fast - Egg Beaters omelet, oatmeal (excellent)
Snack - apple, PB (excellent)
Lunch - turkey chili and half tuna salad sandwich (OK - made with mayo but it was "light")
Dinner - ahem. One cheeseburger, grilled by loving husband. One hot dog, grilled my loving husband. SIX Oreo cookies, bought by detested husband.
So - yeah, sort of let it go at dinner and then some. But I logged my calories on my LoseIt! app and it was just under 2,000 for the day. I can live with that. Today I passed on the bagels and donuts we get at work on Fridays and had my usual breakfast and just had grilled chicken, steamed veg and brown rice for lunch. So I am OK - just ticked at myself for going well off the rails last night!
I almost didn't post considering my diet the past week...still yo-yoing with the calories. I can't seem to get back on track. But on the bright side i did get an awesome workout in (cathe friedrich,4ds series, high intensity step) and burned 540 calories...I looked like a tomato when i was done
Congratulations to everyone that is losing and eating right. You guys are inspiring me! I will get back on track soon and lose my last 25lbs....Im soooo close to goal its crazy. Why, oh why am I stalling?
It's pretty sad... I haven't lost a single pound in over two weeks. Maybe longer than that. I'd have to look. I'm eating too much, I know that. Easter has been a horror. My mom gave everyone an Easter basket, including myself. I did manage to put it in a bag and give it away after a day, but the damage had already been done.
Official WI today....drum roll please.....174.8!!! a loss of 2.4 for the week! WAAHOOO!!! My experiment is working! I'll post progress pics this weekend to compare to my 195 progression pics...only 2.4 to go for this challenge!!!
night--YAY FOR NEW LOWS!!! Congrats for your loss!!!
Susie--Congrats on all those inches!! That's amazing!!! And good luck w/your last 3lbs!!!
Jiggle--I'm sure that dress will fit in no time!!! Can't wait to see the pics for May 16!!!
Aluxa--congrats on the loss...you're almost to goal!
rice--pulling some smaller items out of storage might be a good idea...I can tell you from experience that trying on something you used to wear and have been to big to wear recently will MAKE YOUR DAY!!!!
Jules--good confession...feels to good to do that huh? BTW..I use LoseIt! also and LOVE IT!! Good job gettin back on track AND passing on the bagels & donuts!!!...we donuts in the break room today and there's a crueller left (my weakness)...I think I'm gonna ask my co-worker to go hide it! LoL
misspriss--sounds like a great WO!!! good luck gettin back on track...I know it's soo hard once you stray...but YOU CAN DO IT!
MrsLovett--sorry you're not losing, but hey look on the bright side, atleast you're not gaining!!! Good luck getting back on track!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!! Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
MrsLovett- cheer up, you'll get back on track! I got side tracked too with Easter, it took me 3 days. All three days i ate like it was still Easter.
Yesterday and today (1125 cal.) I was right on plan w/ my calories. I think I have the overeating under control now. The patio work is done, so I have to remember that I'm not burning those extra calories anymore. If i ate like I was and not working on the patio, I would have gained weight big time. I lost 6 ounces when I weighed in this morning, hopefully I'll lose more tomorrow. I've been in the 107's since the day after Easter, I would be satisfied with that, if it just stayed there, but I know it won't. So I'm going to be very careful now that I'm not getting the extra exercise.
Weigh in was MUCH better than expected! Down 2.9 lbs since last Thursday, even with Easter weekend in there! Needless to say, I'm thrilled! I also now have less than 100 lbs to my final goal. Nice to see that "to go" number in the double digits I have 6.6 lbs to lose for my challenge goal, which means I have to average 2.2 lbs a week. I will give it my best shot!
Fruitlady: great job on the patio, I've never even tried to do something like that! Also, I can't even fathom 107 pounds, just remember how far you've come and be proud of yourself!!
Mrs. Lovett: you'll get there, just keep at it and the scale will move again. You're so tiny, it may just take longer now. I've heard it takes a lot longer once you're tiny.
Night: congrats on the loss and your new low!! It is so exciting, you're doing so well!
Lori: I hope you're doing ok, I miss hearing your newsy reports. I hope your lungs feel better soon!
Krista: you're doing great with your experiment! You passed right by 175 and landed at 174!! I'm looking forward to seeing your new progress pics.
Miss Priss: You have lost 102 pounds! That is amazing and you're doing so great with your workouts. You'll get those last 25 off!
Jules: I'm glad you're feeling better a bit and good for you for getting right back at it after being a little Off plan.
RicePaper: I heard that jean motivator idea from someone on 3FC. I also take a picture for my eyes only of me trying on the jeans so that when the time comes and they do fit, I can remember how far I've come.
Jiggle: great news on wearing the dress from the back of the closet! You're doing great and way to go on the 2 a days! On me looking younger, I guess the weight loss and hair dye help LOL. However, as I'm losing weight I'm noticing more fine lines on my face.
Katy: Super job on running 30 minutes! I cannot imagine being able to do that!
Aluxa: hope you were able to get back on track and feel good about your progress, I'm glad you've joined the challenge.
I am bad about posting updates. I don't remember what I have already posted and what I have not. But here's how things are going today.
I am staying OP. Somedays it is really difficult, but reading everyones posts helps keep me on track. I am trying not to get on the scale more than once a week because my weight goes up and down throughout the week and I get discouraged when it goes up. Once a week is enough for me to monitor progress. I started the C25K today. I made it through without dying, so I guess I will do day 2 on Monday.
I hope everyone is enjoying an OP weekend. The weather is nice here today, so I am going to go outside and enjoy it.
Mkyice: I hope you've enjoyed your beautiful day. You've done awesome losing 45.4 pounds already, just keep it up and remember how far you've come. Also, remember that now that you're exercising harder with C25K to keep enough water and fuel. It seems like when I exercise harder and drop my calories too low I stall out. I learned that the hard way. I know it doesn't happen for everyone but it did for me.
Susieyarb- Thanks, you have come a long way also. Keep up the good work!
As for me, my weight stayed the same. I thought for sure I was going to lose something. I was really hungry today, I had way too many calories(3500 cal.) I was eating all day trying to get full. Now I'm finally full at 7:30pm. ! I'll gain for sure. I think I know why I have been so hungry, I stopped buying all my favorite foods so I would not binge. One is F.F Reddi whip, I used to eat it everyday with my fruit, it helped to keep me full. I didn't have it for 5 days and I'm going after other foods i shouldn't have cause I'm always hungry. I guess I should start buying it again, I would rather eat that to fill me up, than some of the other crap I've been eating lately. I have a feeling I won't get down to 105 for the challenge.
Today was so beautiful, it was a joy to be outside. I spent three hours with the horses, which is the best therapy money can buy for me! Rode hard - both me and my horse worked up quite a sweat! Then did some manual labor - digging sand and raking stalls works muscles you didn't know you had. Then I got my hair cut - I love it super, super short and my stylist has been working with me long enough to know when I say "cut it all off" I mean to about an inch long at the longest. God love her for doing it AND making me still look like a chick. I nearly bought a skirt in Ann Taylor Loft - it was so cute, but I couldn't bring myself to pay $40 for a jersey knit skirt. But I may go back and get it - it would be perfect for the summer here. I also visited REI, one of my fav stores, and found several items I want, but I won't buy them til I'm nearer our cruise so I will hopefully be in a smaller size by then.
