I want to break this stinking plateau by Christmas! It would be really nice to say goodbye to the 330s.

Hang in there everybody. We are all amazing and the commitments we have made are going to carry us through the holidays.

Emileigh: Don't beat yourself up about the party food. At least you didn't eat the cake as well, could have been way worse!

retiredone: well done on the 2lb loss!

Lori: Happy "21st" birthday! Hope it was a good one.

Tanna Banana:
Just jump right back in. You'll be fine. Don't kick yourself, write it off and start from now, doing the right thing.

KDM: Well done! That's a massive effort!

As for me, from a starting weight of 188 last week, as of this morning I am ... drum roll please ... 186.3! That's 1.7 lb down, with 4 Christmas parties this weekend!

I've been totally focussed on my food intake, and getting up at 4am to workout before work, not blowing it off with the "I have to get up too early" excuse. And it's working!

I did 30 minutes on the bike and upped the resistance.I could feel the burn.I am stuck on the scale, hopefully this will give me the push I need.I am going to try to get in at least 15 more minutes later.
Everyone keep up the good work.

I really don't want to step on the scale tomorrow after three days away from home, eating out every meal (staying at a hotel/casino) and not working out nearly as hard as I do at home. But I weigh-in on Wednesdays so I'll just get the weight, log it, move on. Back to normal tomorrow, thank goodness, and no more work travel until early February. Phew.

Lori I'm sorry to hear about your father. I'm such a daddy's girl and my dad lives 3,000 miles from me (trust me, you can miss your daddy even at 37!). But he's arriving tomorrow for his annual month long visit, which I'm very excited about and very grateful that at nearly 76, he can still take a 10 hour flight to come see me. You never know how much time you have with your parents so I'm trying to make the most of every visit I have. I hope you feel better soon...

Default Today was finally better

I really enjoy reading about everyone's successes... and even the not-so successes. It helps me to keep things in perspective. We are all human and trying to figure things out. So thanks for the encouragement!

Things are going a lot better. Some stuff is all checked off on the list. Nice. A few more concerts to play for, and some school administrative type stuff... and then Christmas Break!!! Woo hoo!!

I am going running for the first time since 11/30 tomorrow morning with a friend. I hope I can move!

All the best to fellow CCers!

Lori, you're never too old to miss your Dad. But I am glad that seeing the biggest loser cheered you up because I know your dad is proud of you for your accomplishment just like Danny's family was proud of him.

Ruth, thanks for the encouraging words. And you are doing great to have made it through 4 Christmas parties with a loss!
