Lori-

My fellow is doing great. I'm having lots of fun. We've been together for a month and so far so good. He's 30 years old, college educated, and runs two businesses, the first being a computer building (very popular here in Korea) and also a vacation rental on the beach. He's very sweet, kind, funny, and I'm having a blast with him. Every one of my friends here who has met him love him. We usually see each other every day. He's very encouraging and supportive of my weight loss. We usually meet everyday after work at Starbucks with some friends for coffee, then we hit the gym, and then go home for dinner (or we go out). Saturday night's have been our big date nights. Usually a movie and dinner. He's taken me hiking here on the island. We also have enjoyed some fun time walking the beaches. Overall, its going great so far! I don't mind you being nosey. I don't really have anyone here to talk to about us because my family is so far away, so its nice to share with someone.

My goal for Thanksgiving was onederland, and I didn't make it but I made great progress. I'm currently at 205.5 so need to lose 6 pounds to see the all-hallowed '1' on the scale. Want to be there by Christmas! Plus I have two appts in Dec: one w/ my physician and one with my endocrinologist (I have underactive thyroid) and I want to have some great progress to show them! I've already hit the 30 pounds gone mark, and now I've got my sights set on 35 pounds gone, and onederland. It's been a long time coming, and progress is sometimes slow (1/2 pound a week) but has been fair.ly consistent for the last three months

I have developed a great routine of getting to the gym 3-4 times a week for treadmill running (3.1 miles in about 35-38 minutes) and strength routine. I love working out and it's a great stress reliever - I always feel more clear-headed and calmer afterwards. The challenge is eating. I think I'll be able to steer clear of holiday eating events for the most part. I shoot for 1500 calories a day and try to keep carbs fairly moderate (which is tough because I love me my pancakes, potatoes, pasta, etc). Trying to focus mostly on lean protein, nuts, seeds, veggies and beans, with moderate amounts of whole grains and fruits. Oh, and a crap ton of water.

Have a great holiday weekend, all!

Hey everyone! Well I was only 2 lbs away from reaching my Thanksgiving goal..I didn't get to exercise at all the way I wanted to the past few weeks (Thank God school is almost over!!) I'm hoping to have more success for this challenge since school ends in 2 weeks, then have all the time in the world to exercise (at least until January when I start my new job). My official weigh in is on Monday, and I am sure I will either be at my ticker weight or a little above. So my goal for this challenge is to first, get back down to ticker weight if not already there, and second, lose 5 lbs by Christmas. Well, off to start writing a psychology paper.

Hello everyone! I didn't make my T-day goal of Onederland but I might just make it by Christmas! That will be my goal again this time although I'll set my ticker to a goal of 195 as it may inspire me more.
Good luck everyone!

I didn't even come close to my thanksgiving goal I gave up there for a while and really went all out. Thankgiving is over and I'm ready to get back on track. I have an important goal of being in onderland sometime in January. I have to reach this goal!!!!! I've worked to hard not to make it. I'm about 10 pounds over my ticker weight How sad! Hopefully some of that weight comes off fast getting back on track......I need Lori bootcamp I need you back in my head telling me I need to get off my butt and not go over in calories

Count me in! My Christmas goal is going to be to lose 10 lbs...which would put me at my goal weight of 115. That would be a nice Christmas present to myself. The last time I saw that weight was probably around Christmas 2004.

I'm going to go a little conservative and say I'd like to be anywhere within the 120's by Christmas. 128, 129 somewhere in that range would be great. Now I need to watch the calories and exercise more consistently than I have been. Getting through these holidays has been a little tough, but I'm going to give it my best effort. And no matter what, I do not want to gain!!!!

My Christmas goal is to lose 8 lbs, that will put me at 20lbs total since beginning this journey. I am looking forward to seeing a number in the 180's as I have not seen that in years. Hope everyone out there is well and working hard

well, I had a terrible eating day yesterday, but it was one day and it doesn't have to derail me! I need to workout and stick with my calorie goal.
