    It's time for a new Calorie Counters' Holiday Challenge!

    Everybody did great on the LABOR DAY Challenge.
    Some of us met our goals, some of us only got partway there, but we all put in a great effort, learned some lessons, made new friends, and supported each other... and that's what these challenges are for. Now, we're ready to set our sights on a new challenge, new goals, and the next 7.5 weeks of this journey!

    Here's how it works... Set a goal or goals that you would like to reach before HALLOWEEN , OCT 31st, 2009. Your goals can be anything: pounds you want to lose, a smaller clothing size or outfit you'd like to fit into, sports or fitness achievements, or just a goal of keeping food and exercise on track. Whatever gets you excited about working your plan over the summer, is the right goal for this challenge. You can set as many or as few goals as you like.

    All are welcome! If you're not sure what your goal will be yet, but would like to join up and find some weight loss buddies, get and give support, please jump in, and you can post a goal later, when you think of something. Our main purpose is to motivate each other to keep the food on plan, keep exercising, keep getting leaner, more fit, and healthy.


    P.s. Jam ( who normally does these challenges) Was unable to continue with the holiday challenges For calorie counters so I Will do my best with this one....And hopefully with lots of help from Everyone else ~We can make this one nearly as good as Jam always has.

    I may not be able to check in daily,Since I am a mom of 3~ But I will do my best too. HAVE A GREAT CHALLENGE EVERYONE!
  • Ok ~I will go ahead & post some goals.

    My goals this challenge is to lose 10 lbs.
    I am 181.0 today so Goal would be to be 171 or less.

    WHO KNOWS THAT IS PROBOLY PUSHING IT FOR ME TO LOSE 10 lbs but We will see.

    ~To make 10's my official new size~Only made it into 1 pair last challenge~The others are still way to tight~

    ~Just got an exercise bike today~So I wanna bulid myself up to riding it at least 20 mintues 2 X's a day~By end of challenge...I know that doesn't seem like much~but its a ton to me to add to all my walking and my ab slide.

    ~Last but not least to have my teeth fixed~I know this is nothing to do with weight whatsoever But It is very important to me and I am suppose to have everything done All next month~I am a chicken of the dentist so I must be strong~I gotta go to 8 appointments to make it happen. So hopefully This goal I make most definetly.

  • Hi! I will be starting tomorrow and I would like to lose 10 lbs (I would love to lose 15 to put me in onederland but I am not sure that is realistic)

    I would also like to exercise for at last 20 minutes/ 6 days a week.
  • Halloween is about 2 months away...SO... I hope I can lose 12 pounds, thus being 175. And lose a dress size, that is to be a size 10!
  • Goal weight - 149

    Get back to exercising! (I have REALLY slacked off the last month).
  • I'm ready to start a challenge for sure. My starting weight is 353lbs. My goal for Halloween is 330lbs.
  • i'd like to reach my goal weight-165- i seem to be stuck lately and can't get below 170--and i am really pushing with the exercise and doing well eating-- that's my goal!!!
  • i'll join in! i'm off to stay with my in-law's the week before halloween and would love to lose a stone (14lbs) before then. i'll have to work hard to get there but a hard goal motivates me more!

    I just tried my exercise bike earlier ~And rode a whole 5 minutes and was ready to fall over~hahaha~But I walked right before hand for 45 minutes so I will get better at it.It's gonna take alot of hard work to get myself up to 20 minutes 2 x's a day Along with my other stuff ~But I will do the best I can.

  • im in! i would like to lose 10 pounds or more!
    finally go to the doctor about my bowel movements totally has to do with the weight lose
    keep going to the gym 6 days a week
    and keep up my counting! last week i didnt count at all. just stopped. i cant do that! it makes everything else want to stop as well.

  • I want in! I would like to lose 12lbs, that will put me at 215.
  • I'm in! Right now I'm at 217, for my goal I'll go with 14lbs (~ 2 lbs per week) to put me at 203 or less by halloween.

  • Lori - thanks for picking up where Jam left off!!! She's has some big shoes to fill, but I think you'll do great

    My goals:

    * Concentrate on becoming more consistent with weight training
    * Run for 20 minutes straight on the treadmill
    * Be at 185 pounds

    I am going to focus more on the first two goals because I haven't had the best luck the past couple of challenges when things were solely based on weights.
