Okay, you didn't ask for it but here it is. . . . my rating of how I did with my eating at Christmas Party #1 of the season? * * * * *. Started eating before I left, ate too much while I was there, and had a snack after I got home. The only thing that kept me from no stars is that after my snack when I got home, I wrapped up the rest of the cake on hand and threw it in the trash.

Still no weight loss to report but also no gain! I've made a pledge to behave for at least 2 weeks this month. So far I'm doing it!

OMG it has been really hectic here at work.

But I wanted to stop by and say hi and let you all know I am thinking about you. I am sticking to plan and just 2lbs from a 50lb loss. It's fighting me but I will win this battle.

Have a great weekend everyone and stay strong. We can all do this!

Congrats to everyone who's losing! Just wanted to drop by and say HEY Hope everyone is having a good week...I worked over last night til 5AM and at the last 300 of my calories during these hours...I'm not sure if that will effect my WI or not...it didn't this afternoon when I woke up..I was down another 0.2..better than up 0.2...I had dry MG Cheerios, 100cal popcorn, then some raisins...I was thinking I might retain some water, but we'll see come tomorrow or even Monday when it's my official WI...I should also be done with TOM on sunday, so maybe i'll get a whoosh, but doubt it...even so, I'm just happy to be in the 180s

Keep up the good work everyone! Have a great weekend!

Good News on the Scales this morning. I lost 2 pounds this week. I have a new pair of dress pants I'd like to fit into before the holiday season ends and maybe that will happen.
**************
Goal: 4 or 5 pounds (135/134 pounds)
Starting Weight: 139.5
Weight to Date: 137.5

Isabella, you are doing awesome! Getting into smaller pants is a great motivator. I see that your starting weight was about the same as mine. Now your are in the 130's! Wow!

I notice you have a "join date" of 2008, so I'm just curious if it has been a slow and steady thing or if there have been periods of little or no loss? That is what I am going through now and I am beginning to feel as if I am permanently stuck.

Starzmom, I like your pledge to behave at least two weeks this month. It shows you gave the whole holiday challenge a realistic look and decided on something that is actually doable, as opposed to something that is in fantasy land!

When I read where someone's plan is to lose 8 or 10 lbs this month, I can't identify because that is so far from what I would ever be able to do. I am a big believer in setting realistic goals because to me it feels better to accomplish a small goal than to fall short of a big one!

Hope everyone is doing well this weekend. I would like to do some holiday prep --hanging wreaths, cleaning and working on the cozy factor.

emileigh, I lost most of my weight in a year and then I stopped losing for a while and then I gained back 17 pounds and then lost that since September. It's a slippery slope once you stop watching what you eat. I did have a few plateaus on my way down that lasted about a month. But if you keep on plan and maybe switch around some exercise it does start coming off again. I've been very careful to track every mouthful of food since September and it's sure helped. I lose about 4 or 5 pounds a month on average if I keep on plan. BTW, you're doing great since August. You're losing at about the same rate as I am. Keep up the good work.

I totally agree with setting realistic goals...it DOES feel so much better when you meet a goal (atleast, I imagine it does)... I have yet to reach a goal that I've set since starting my journey to a healthier me! It's very very frustrating when you don't reach it!! I almost got to my Tgiving goal...missed it by a couple...but I DID meet my November exercise goal!!! I set both the Tgiving and Christmas goal just a little aggressive...like I know i can lose 1lb/week, but a little more would be nice...so I've been trying to push myself with exercise AND staying on track w/calories...and maybe I'll lose 5lbs in 4wks?!?!? I don't know what I'll do when I actually meet a goal that I've set! LoL

Retiredone...that happened to me too...if you don't decide to make it a lifestyle change and only do a short-term diet to get to your goal, then it'll come right back on..and probably plus some (or atleast that happened to me in 06-07)...I'm planning to CC for the rest of my life...once I meet goal, then I'll work to maintain

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Keep going everyone! You're all doing great by the looks of things.

I lost two pounds and then TOM has hit so it's a bit all over the place. I'll wait a week before I really know how I'm doing because all of the normal TOM stuff.

Weekends suck for food - lack of structure like I have in the week just derails me. Well... having said that, I did just log my food and it's not as bad as I thought. I guess weighing and measuring helps a lot, but I do need to make smarter choices on weekends. The upside is I had a lot of physical activity this morning with my horses, so that helped a lot. Tomorrow's a new day and I'll start with a good mindset and just stick to it!
