Hi everyone

I am eating OP and exercising. My thighs and my abs (wherever they are)hurt.

I have been doing some lunges, squats, and lifting weights. I love the pain! Isn't that weird? It just feels like I am really doing something. The weight is not moving again which is a little frustrating but I keep reminding myself it is all about the journey!

Not much of a Miley Cyrus fan, but her new song, "The Climb" is so beautiful. I tend to try to relate songs to what I am doing. That song is perfect for relating it to this new journey I am on.

Keep the Faith... It's all about the journey!

Oaky - Don't be discourage, your still 1 lb into it! I was all messed up and had gain 4 pounds over where I started for the challenge but refocused just a week ago and I am down 5 lbs. You still have 'over' 3 weeks until Easter - you can still make a goal and reach it!

Nicki - Congratulations on the tips and the weight. You are doing awesome!! What an inspiration for all of us!

Jamsk8r - Awwww is all I can say about the babies. I love baby chicks and baby ducks, especially this time of year. I used to have baby rabbits when I was younger. I loved raising and training them. Just adorable.

Well, I landed in Chicago 2 hours late and an Airport - Plane trip from ****. We had flight delays, flight changes, and whatever else you want to add. My brain is exhausted! I was so stressed out by 4pm and starving I ate a pizza and was pissed while I ate it because I knew it was not in the plan!!!! Well, the rest of my day wasn't to bad, so it will be real interesting to weigh in when I get back on Tuesday...........Hmmmmmmmmmm.

I'll check in tomorrow night. I hope everyone else had an awesome day!

Hello CC Easter Bunnies,

So first of all, I just want to apologize for the unnecessary hysteria that you all were all witness to yesterday. Trust me, that was VERY out-of-character and now when I read those posts I feel like I was acting like a crazy person

So, today I focused on trying to get back to normal, so I went to the gym, which was good. Food I didn't do so well with, ate 2,000 calories, which is not great but not too too bad.

Right now I just need to work my way back to a good routine. I have a lot going on for the next two weeks- I have a college reunion event this weekend (which will probably mean very poor options), then just have a lot on my plate professionally until next week Friday, then I'm immediately going on vacation from next week Friday for an entire week. I'll try my best to stay on plan and make healthy choices, but for now I'm just going to focus on maintaining for the next two weeks. When April 6th rolls around and life is back to normal, I'll kick myself in gear and set a decent 5-8lb goal for the month of April.

That sounds like a decent, reasonable plan. After all, its not like I need to lose all the weight in 6 months anyway- Rome was not built in a day. It took me YEARS (maybe about 8 or so years) to get to where I was weight-wise last September- it should take a few months to get back to a healthy weight and lifestyle!

Ok so I did good on plan yesterday. I was training a new girl at work last night. I made 62, not the 75 i wanted but I still did good. I made more money than I would have made at the Youth activity center. Then i get off work. LOL. I was talked into going to do karaoke (not that it took much convincing) and I hadn't eaten yet. So I ordered the chicken tender app (came with fries), ranch and mild sauce. Bad right? Well I let all the servers know I had the food...servers are like vultures when it comes to food. And alot of them helped me eat it. So I only ate about one tender and a few fries. So that's not too bad. I did also have some beer at the bar. Needless to say coming in at 130 i did not do 30DS, nor did I do it this morning. But it's strength training today. OP with food and lots and lots of water!!! The scale went down a pound and I want it to stay down!!!!

The lost pound bringing me to 191 also helped me to reach my next mini goal. My BMI is exactly 29.9 which changes me to "overweight" not "obese"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I may be tired today but I am certainly motivated!

Woohoo congrats nicki! I noticed we are the same height I am almost there. I can't wait until I get into the overweight zone lmao!

I lost 2.2lbs this week putting me just at 201.4 so close to being under 200 and only .6 lbs from having lost 10lbs total! It feels amazing. I am sticking OP, balancing out my calories so much better. getting on a good routine of a much healthier life!

But I think I might have hurt myself. Last week I noticed a weird "roll" on my right side. Kindof under my hip and above my thigh. It wasn't there before. At first I thought it was my fat just eh shifting but people told me that doesn't happen lol. So now I am a bit worried. It wasn't hurting and just looked like an icky roll of fat. But then wednesday was a heavy workout day for me and on top of it I had decided to rearange my living room which meant all by myself moving two bookshelfs and two couches. So I was half dead that night lol. And then last night I slept horrible and my side where this lump is started hurting. IDK maybe i pulled a muscle or something but it sucks. Today was gonna be a kindof busy workout day but I decided to lay off. I went for a short walk around the block but that is it.

Bleh just venting lol

The walk was nice though since it is the first day of spring! Even if it was way colder then I thought outside lol

So just 3.4lbs to go for the challenge and 3 weeks(ish) left!

Goodluck everyone staying OP! Happy Friday!

Hi all

Today is Spring! Whoo Hoo!!! It was snowing here this morning though.

I am going to be away from my exercise machines this weekend...well at least Saturday. I feel weird about that. I should have made it one of my days off but didn't think that far ahead and already used them. I will have to find exercise in different ways while I am gone. A new challenge. I am also going to see a friend that I haven't seen since October and 35 lbs ago. I am a little nervous to see her. She is really overweight and not really doing anything about it. I don't think she was too happy about me starting this new journey back in August. I hope it doesn't change the way she feels about me. I have talked to her through email and on the phone and she never asked me how I was doing with the weight loss. I never mentioned it. I figure that if she asks I will tell her but otherwise I will let my body do the talking...if you know what I mean. Am I being paranoid and stupid? What would you do?

Way to go Nicki.

Hattie - As much as we would like to try to get others to lose weight with us it will not happen until they get their aha moment. If your freind brings it up then discuss it. Otherwise if you bring it up it will probably throw your friend into defensive mode and may end up putting a barrier in the friendship. On the other hand don't let them talk you into going off plan. If you go out to eat order healthy. Try to see if your friend would like to go for a walk. Congratulations on losing 35 lbs since Oct.

sweetshauna - Good job the other day. Just take things one day at a time. You will eventualy get a routine back.

Since venting the other day I got back on plan. I stayed within my calorie range the past 2 days and went back to the more healthier choices. I really noticed an increase in my energy since going back to eating healthy. Although on Thursday I got home late I still did the 90DS. Then on Friday I started the day with Jillian's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism DVD. I did the full 50 minute killer video. Then in the evening I did 20 min on the treadmill and worked with my trainer for an hour doing mostly upper body and abs but also working lower body and cardio. Today I am back down to 192 which is where I started out this month and I feel great about that. I still have 2 lbs to go to lose 100 lbs and I want to do that by my birthday next Sat so no going off plan this week. I still have 7 lbs to lose for the challenge and I am going to commit to staying OP for the rest of the challenge.

Hey guys. New to this part of the forum (I'm about a month old here, trying to feel my way slowly) but I do have an Easter goal so I may as well post it, albeit 28 pages into the original thread.

I really want to fit into a pair of size 16 jeans that didn't start off in the Women's department.

Tried some on about 2 weeks ago and ended up pretty sad, but I know I've lost inches since then and if I wait until Easter to try again, my chances might be better.

Hello Everyone!

I'm still in Illinois - Winter wonderland! LOL. I wanted to check in and also show you a picture of my daughter right after graduation ended.

Sweetshauna - I didn't see your 'post' your referring to, but I know myself I don't do well off a routine. For some reason I can't stay focused and feel 'out-of-sorts'. I hope all calms down and you can get back on schedule. Don't be hard on yourself though - it happens to all of us.

Nick - Congratulations, you are doing so well and I am so happy and proud of you. Keep it up, you will be in the 80's next week!!! Woo Hoo!!

Yesterday was an eating day in Illinois and today I have to stay focused or I know I will gain. There isn't any gyms or exercising here at the hotel, so I have to control my eating, or I will be in trouble. I am trying to focus on the grueling and painful routine my daughter did for 9 weeks. She lost 25 or more pounds, gained tremendous muscle - SO WE CAN DO ANYTHING LADIES!!!!

Here is my daughter....I'll check in later.

Grits, she looks strong...can totally tell she's been working out big time in her training! Congrats to her (and mom) for surviving boot camp! (or whatever they call it in the Navy...I had two brothers and a dad in the Navy, so you'd think I would remember! Old age is a b****!)

Lori, congrats on all the weight (and inches) lost so far! Whatcha doin' for workouts these days? I need DETAILS!

Brooks, welcome! And That is a GREAT goal, and I'm glad you shared it here. I had a goal from the beginning to get down to a certain size pants, and it took me a long time to make any progress there, since I carried most of my fat in the stomach/middle area. Anyway, I can totally relate to that goal, and if it's slow coming, just don't give up, because it will happen if you are stubborn enough to stay on plan, keep eating the best you can, keep working out the best you can, keep drinking that water, and it will happen, it can't not happen, honestly. It's all about just wanting it bad enough to do what needs to be done, every day, and when you have a bad meal or a bad day, just picking yourself up and going forward with the plan.

Hey Chubs, good to hear from you! How far or how long are you up to on the walking, now? Have you made some gains in endurance or speed there, and is it getting easier? I just like to hear about people's progress and gains with their fitness goals!

Oakey, you are workin' it! I like the new avatar pic! 2 lbs to go to 100, woohoo!

Hattie, all kinds of stuff you can do without exercise equipment: walking, stairs, squats, anything from your middle school gym class (modified if needed, so wall push-ups, crunches, stepping up and down on some steps or a bench, lunges or long strides if you can't do lunges), etc.

Blaspheminator, fat does move around, all the time. It's taken from cells when the extra energy may be needed, like during a good workout, then any excess is put back, but it's not like it's routed back to the cell it came from..."err...okay, this molecule came from cell # 14,569,762, Bob...make sure it gets put right back there when this workout is over!" lol. Some folks get little lumps of fat forming, too, during weight loss, especially fast weight loss, that is like hard fat that (I'm dodgy on this part) doesn't break down well, so it's like a hard bump until it finally gets broken up and used. If it's like a roll, though, I bet it's a muscle or tendon that's inflamed. I'm not up to speed on the finer details of anatomy in that area, but what I would try is some tylenol and rub in some plain old rubbing alcohol there. If it's a knotted muscle, the rubbing alcohol can help, and it won't hurt if it's not, as it does some to improve circulation locally and is a mild pain reliever. It's not a miracle cure, but can help with cramped muscles and with moving excess fluid along (like if you get swollen ankles from sitting too long, rubbing alcohol will totally help move that out of there). So, that can't hurt, also rest is always good if you have pain, then if it doesn't feel noticibly better or go away on its own, then I'd see a doc to make sure it's nothing needing immediate medical attention.

Shauna, Nicki, anybody I missed, I'm sending one of these because I need to get up out of this chair and do something useful!

I had my crossfit class this morning. I totally shut my alarm off and overslept, woke up 10 mins before I was supposed to leave, took the fastest shower of my life (so I wouldn't kill my trainer with my rink skank from last night), and got to class on time, but not in time to do my usual leisurely warm-up. Making improvements toward the pull-up but not even close yet. I'm not freakin' giving up, though, till I get it! I'll check in on you ladies later!

Congratulations to everyone. Sounds like everyone is making progress and working toward their goals.

I did great today. I stayed OP although my sodium was a little high today. I did an hour and a half at the gym today - incline walking on the treadmill, bike, & jogging/running. I did not have a class today but I ran into my trainer and he was really shocked to see me running since I usually try to get out of it when he wants me to do it in class. I really don't want to get out of it I just never remind him that he told me from the previous class that he wanted to run in the next class. I also finally did my taxes today.

Let's have a great weekend everyone.

Hey Everyone!

jamsk8r - Thanks for the kind words, she is tougher and I told her brother she could kick his butt now, so he better be nice to her! LOL... It is boot camp, and hard as heck. I too have military all around me. My Dad was AirForce, as was my brother-in-law and my husband was a Navy Seal. Hey, thanks for the 'fat' information! I learned from what you wrote, so anytime, give us some more education!! Thanks and glad you made it to class!! LOL

Chubby - Keep going, walking is a great exercise and over time try to increase your speed or distance - little by little!

Lori - You go girl! Wow, I am envious and also proud of you. Now YOU have motivated me, as we are in the same weight area with the same goals. I was at 219, but being on this trip to see my daughter I have been eating junk and now I have put on a few pounds. Reading how your doing, I am eating light today and tomorrow until I get back on late Monday Night. Hopefully when I weigh in Tuesday morning I will only have gained maybe a pound. Thanks Lori! You helped me! LOL Oh, and thanks for the kind compliment on Alina - she is a cutie! LOL

Oaky - You go girl! Go for you running! Keep it up!

Need to get dressed to go see Alina, as its my last day to visit with her. They fly her out to Texas tomorrow I think. I'll check in later.
