Oakey, what I did to work my mileage up was just to add a little each week. I didn't usually have a measured track to run on, so I just added 5 mins a week, once I was running a whole 30 minutes (without any walking). I'm not a fast runner, but I can run my turtle pace for an hour or more now, if I've got good music or a book on tape to keep it from getting boring. I don't get to do the long runs very often since starting the crossfit thing, but I squeeze them in when I can. It's kinda like my quiet time...therapeutic and relaxing, since it doesn't take a lot of brain power to put one foot in front of the other.

Lori, you are doing awesome. I think you're going to hit that crazy Easter Challenge goal!

Isabella, I think you are doing great with all that has happened, and I've seen your determination at work, so I know you'll be seeing some good numbers on the scale soon. Congrats on the new grandbaby! I love baby people! The rink owner's daughter had a baby this past winter, so whenever I'm not wearing skates, I get my baby bonding time in. She is teething right now, so she likes to slobber on my water bottle the whole time I'm holding her. She's like a pit bull puppy, but without teeth.

Angel, I did not get around to reading the camera manual yet, because I've been running around this week. As soon as I have the time and the brains for it all at once, I am anxious to get the pics/video put on the computer.

Hey, almost forgot! I got another new low weight today on the scale: 175.2! Probably from the 4 hour skate marathon last night, but I'll take it anyway! That's my first 175-anything in probably 15 years!

Way to go Jam!!!

I am stuck again at 203..but it has only been a few days so onward I go.

I started my exercise again so hopefully that will help. My shoulder/neck problem is better and I am trying to be careful with it.

I hated being out of commission on the exercise!

Keep going everyone...we are in the home stretch!!

Hey CC Friends! I've missed you! I hope everyone is doing well!

I have to catch up on the past week of chatter, but I wanted to pop in and say hi!

I dropped my family off at the airport this morning at 5am (yawn) and got to work early to do a little catching up before an all day meeting.

This week was a blast. I will admit to a few food splurges...more than I've had in 8 months, but I was concious about what I was eating and doing and my brother and I hit the gym everyday except Mon/Tues when we were walking all over NYC. I'm proud that despite the treats and fun I maintained my weight for the week. I am 3 pounds from my Easter goal. We shall see what happens....

Hopefully I will have time tonight/this weekend to see what everyone is up to.

Later...

Barb, I'm so impressed with you being able to hold everything together while you were away. I always gain when I'm with family. Cheers to you

I think I'll venture a look at the scales tomorrow morning. I'll have 4 good days in by then and should see some downward movement (although I don't know how high I went while I was away). It doesn't really matter what I weigh tomorrow because I know I'm back in control and that's more important then what I weigh. But weighing less would be good.

Hey peeps.

Been doing the crossfit workouts the last 3 mornings. What a fun place to workout! Just a great group, real supportive and positive. I like that.

Skating is tonight, tomorrow most of the day will be taken up with a dog club meeting and driving to/from, then Sunday I'm going with my sister and her dh to go sailing. Hopefully we'll get some wind! Next crossfit workout will be Monday morning.

I think the plan at the dog club meeting tomorrow is to order pizza for lunch. Normally, I love pizza, but right now, I'm thinking it's not worth the carb hangover and the weight gain, so I'm packing my lunch and snacks for the road.

Lori, I swear, your avatar is shrinking every time I turn around! You're on a hot streak with the weight loss! (plus probably getting serious buff legs from all that walking...I'm a fan of the buffness, so I mean that in a good way!)

Something I'm doing is working, too, cuz I hit another new low this morning: 174.6! Not close enough to 174 to change my ticker, but still pretty cool.

Gah...I hate TOM!! haha I have been kicking my own butt all week long at the gym and my weight has pretty much stayed the same! I can definitely notice a difference and this is one of the first times since I started that I can really notice it myself and that I'm not just relying on other people noticing...if that makes sense? And I know that the scale technically shouldn't measure our success and all that stuff, but it's still frustrating.

I'm hoping for a big loss next week! haha

I am thinking of adding in some weight lifting for my arms ~Not much but just a little for some toning. Now If my belly And boobs will keep shinking I will be happy ~At least I did go from a 42 DD to a 38 D Bra~So that makes a Major difference....I am hoping for a C Cup Eventually! HAHAHAHA! Anyways~yeah I hope this Hot streak continues!! I am trying so hard to make my Easter challenge goal....8 MORE DAYS! Plus I started a weekly biggest loser challenge (under chicks up for a challenge and it helps me alot...Since I won it one time so far LOL! I hope to again) If you or anyone else is interested it starts again every Monday Or Tuesday .I can message people when the new thread starts.
Well I will type again laters,
I got a yard sale I gotta go to because they always sale old costume jewelry every year there and I Am sooooooooooo Into old Funky looking jewelry or well any type of jewelry really.Especially since losing some weight I have been wearing alot of it again~I am being girly I guess hahahahahaha~I suck at that really! I hate wearing makeup~I think jewelry is my makeup HAHAHA
I have 3 older brothers so I am a bit of a tomboy I guess SORTA~I know I dress up for my pics though KINDA!
See ya'll later.

G'nite!
