I just quickly popped in to give an update. Last night's dinner went well. I had roasted garlic lemon chicken with broccoli, rice and a salad. My mom bought be a piece of cheesecake to take home. I had a bite of that also but only a bite. I had another bite today and then gave the rest to my husband. All in all I stayed within my calorie range for the day. I only got about 15 min of exercise in and had to stop due to my husband having problems and needed me. I did 30 min this morning though and I plan to go to the gym tonight if I can get out of my 2nd job early enough. My weight went down today to 190.6 so I know I can make it to 190 by my birthday on Sat to lose 100 lbs by my birthday.
Jam- Thanks! I am feeling a bit better, I am trying not to let it get me down too much!!
Oakey- Wow what an accomplishment! I am crossing my fingers for you! But I know you can do it!!
Everyone else..
Tonight I did Zumba, I wanted to do both classes but my Mom was running late to pick up my DS, so I only made it to one. But it was a good one!! Tomorrow will be LBWO!!
Eight week goal is fun to think about. I weigh 171 and would like to get down to within 2 pounds either way of 160. So, I guess that will be my 8 week goal. And I think I will set the day for May 25, 09. We'll see but there is a goal

Grabec, welcome to the challenge!
Nicki, doesn't the 191 put you out of the obese category?
Oakey, so close! Here's hoping you hit that one tomorrow!
I'm just putzing and trying to wake up. I spent half my life yesterday figuring out the new eating plan. I kept in 2 cups of tea for first thing in the morning, and will try to go the rest of the day without it. I'm going to try really hard to stick to the plan, which would let me have some of my tea, but not having it the rest of the day should help. I'm going to give this zone diet one more go, to see if I can stick to it. It's pretty close to how I was eating before, so it shouldn't be too hard. The tricky part is separating the sugary carbs and the fats a little more, so I'm not just storing the good fats I'm taking in. It sure has opened my eyes to how many sugar carbs I was eating, so cutting those back and corralling them a bit should help. I've got all my sugary carbs in the morning now: for my 2 cups of tea, then right after my morning workout. After that, it's all low GI veggie carbs for me, plus the protein and good fats. I really want that friggin' pull-up, so this fat needs to come off faster, dangit! Anyway, wish me luck!
Hi guys. My last post is probably several pages back. But I'm hanging in there. My goal for the Easter challenge was to get to 168-170. And I weighed 170 this morning. Holy heck I love breastfeeding! lol And I have been counting calories. Maybe I'll get to the 168 by Easter. in about a week and a half I'll be 6 weeks post partum officially and I can begin exercising. I was going to try to start out walking 3 times a week. That may sound like a pansy goal but I've had trouble post partum in the past and don't want to push my luck. Anway, just wanted to update and say I'm alive.
jam yeah girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that was one of my goals that i reached! Whoop!
Im down to 190 today so I'm almost at my Easter goal!!!!!!
Did so good yesterday. Even when the bf cooked me dinner it was with healthy stuff. I was so proud of him! I didn't get in my 30DS becuase he was over but it's okay. I did my weights yesterday and went up ono some of them too! boy that was hard but I'm proud of myself!
I haven't been on because I hurt my shoulder and neck muscles. No exercise for 6 days!!! YIKES!! It is sooo weird not to do it but the pain is too much. I am on anti-inflammatory drugs and muscle relaxers. Can't post much because it hurts. Sorry for complaining! The meet with my friend went well. She didn't say anything about me losing weight but it seems like she is trying now also.
Even though I didn't exercise in 6 days..I lost 4 lbs! I also wasn't eating very much. Hopefully it doesn't come back. I am so close now to that special place.
202.
Ok..gotta go and take a muscle relaxer and rest. It was my first day back at work and I am sore!

Hey chicks. I just spent an hour washing baby chickens. Note to self: alfalfa pellets make fine bedding for ratties, not so great for chickens. The pellets got wet, then stuck in their little feathers and claws like concrete. What a mess! They are all clean and fluffy again and in a clean cage, with wood shavings this time. Lesson learned! One of them is definitely a rooster, or a horse...it's twice the size and has ginormous feet! They're all still cute and their real feathers are popping out like crazy.
Had my last CF class today. We were supposed to have one more, but the trainer said it was meant to be review, and she said I didn't need it, so instead I can just come in and join the group doing the "real" workouts. Sweet! And a little intimidating! But, I'm sure it will be great once I get through my first one.
Did okay on my new eating plan today. Definitely made my calories, but had more tea than I was supposed to. I did keep the sugars and fats separated though, which I hear is some help, so at least that's something. I'll keep on trying.
Duc, congrats on the weight loss, and reaching your Easter Challenge Goal!
Nicki, no longer "obese" deserves on of these: Yes, the coveted Flamey Award.
Hattie, sorry to hear about your injury. Hope you'll be healed up soon! Sometimes taking a rest week can do that for you, though. Happened to me once, whoosh! You're so close to ONEderland, woohoo!
It is past my bedtime, so I'm gonna get off this stinkin' computer!
Just a quick (or not so quick) update. I did reach my goal of losing 100 lbs by my birthday. I actually went past it and am currently at 189 lbs. I only have 4 more lbs to lose for my Easter goal so I am pretty sure that I will make that. I ate within my calorie range yesterday and went to the gym. I did 20 min on the treadmill before working with my trainer. Yesterday was a lot of cardio with a full body workout built in. It was hard but great. Also the other day I jogged for 15 min straight. That was the 1st time I did that. I went a mile and a half. I found out last night that the gym is talking about doing a 5k this summer that they want me to join in on. I like the idea and will definately need to work on running a little more. I have not run for over 15 years and it feels great.
Jam - funny story about the chickens. I bet that was hard to clean up. I love baby chickens. They are so adorable. I had one quite a while back but had to give it away when it got older. Great job at being ready to join in on the real workouts. Here's hoping that you are able to do that pull-up soon.
Nicki - congratulations on moving out of the obese category. I cannot wait until I get there. I don't use the Wii Fit very often but it is nice to finally see the line going down through the obese category. For the longest time it stayed way at the top.
Hattie - sorry about the injury. Give the body the rest it needs and I hope you will be back at it in no time.
Duc - congratulations on reaching your goal. I hope you get the 2 extra lbs by Easter.
A quick update from me- !! I am under 200!! omg!! I lost 2.4lbs this week not even sure how lol but I am happy! I have lost a total of 12 lbs. I am so excited.
My DH is super sick. He was up all night wednesday throwing up which kept me up all night too. I feel so bad for him aww. Even more so when I am like half asleep not really fully aware and trying to check on him lol. So I didn't even work out at all on thursday because I just didn;t wanna bug him while he rested. But I did try to stay active and did side steps while I did the dishes lol
Nicki- what is 30ds? I see so so many people talking about this and I am so curious what it means lol
jamsk8r- awww baby chicks are so cute!
Anyways goodluck everyone!! I have to get ready for work bleh lol
Hi everyone..still c counting here..it's the best...also I love 30DS..it stands for 30 Day Shred..it's a DVD by Jillian Michael--the female trainer on The Biggest Loser..it kicks booty and has very much worked for me..I am definitely looking more toned because of the program..

Oakey, 100 lbs lost! Oh man, you have to get a Highly Coveted Flamey Award for that!!! BIG congrats on the 15 min run! Definitely go for the 5K.
Blasphemer, ONEDERLAND!! Oh, heck, now you need a HCFA, too. I really don't hand these out like they're free, but you guys are hitting the major milestones today!
Nicki, you already got a flamey for being so tiny, but WTG on reaching that Easter GOAL!!!
TBG, ! I have to stay away from the ice creams, especially the "low cal" ones, because I just want to eat the whole friggin' box at once!
Speaking of eating like a nutter, I have to give up on the Paleo-Zone thing. Nothing wrong with the diet, just can't stick to it, and it's pushing me toward binge-like cravings, and I do NOT want to go there. Guess it's baby steps for me, that really work, long term. I'll just keep on with the old plan, tweaking the cals as I go, cutting back on the sugar in my tea as I go, eating a little smarter as I'm able. My diet before was not that bad, and I'm just not mentally/emotionally ready to make the leap to sugar/dairy free at this point. So, just wanted to set the record straight on that.
My weight is stuck hard at 179.0. I'm glad it's not 180, but hopefully I can get some results by tweaking the diet a little, and I'm thinking of putting some heavy lifting and longer runs back in, now that my crossfit class is over. I still want to do the crossfit thing, but I'd like to leave room and some gas in the tank to also enjoy some bodybuilder style heavy/slow pace lifting, since it's meditative to me, and some long slow runs, as well, since they have the same effect. Also, I've fallen off of running my dog the last 2 weeks, so I need to get back in the groove there.
Not doing good this challenge..I am only down 3lbs from the start. I have hit a big stopping point and im not happy about it.
So in April I am upping my calories back to 1500. I had taken my drs advice and decreased to 1300-1400. I will also increase my exercise big time.
