I have 1.5 lbs left to reach goal. 6 more days to go~COME ON LORI YOU CAN DO IT(yep~ I was talking to myself hahahaha~I do alot of that the older I get hahaha)
Dgramie, you rock. That's so great. I went up while I was away but I didn't weigh until this past Saturday and I know I lost as I was only up by 1.5 pounds and I can live with that. I'm so up and down since January. I've lost at least 10 or 12 pounds but it's the same pound over and over...sigh...I'm going to break that pattern this month even if I don't get my Easter challenge.
Hi Gang!
How's everyone doing tonight? All is well here. I had a great training session tonight, food was good today, kids are FINALLY asleep! Lori - yep...the one in the pic is my little troublemaker. He will be 4 in July and is driving me crazy these days.
I still have 2.4 pounds to go to meet my Easter goal. On Saturday I was w/in 0.6 of a pound and then my weight jumped back up. My best friend and I have a 1 month weight loss competition going on starting tomorrow. I am going to visit him on May 8 to celebrate his 40th Bday. By then I want to lose 10 pounds and he wants to loss 20. We aren't sure yet what is at stake, but it will be fun. Last time he saw me I was 100+ pounds heavier and he was about 30 heavier. It's going to be a blast!
DG - YAY! Great job on the loss!
Lori - You are rocking!!!
Jam - Gratzola on the recent new lows!!! Crossfit and your food changes have really made a big difference! Yay!
Hattie - How are the shoulder and neck muscles healing up? I hope you are feeling better and able to get back to your exercise.
Hi everyone. Well my work laptop died again last week. (My computer at home has not been working lately either.) So I have been without a computer for awhile. I have a substitute desktop at work that I am typing out a quick update on. I have not weighed today but as of Sunday I was at 185.6 so I have a half lb to go to meet the Easter challenge. I was challenged by my trainer to jog for 2.5 miles so I did that on Saturday in 28 min. That was the 1st time ever that I have run that long. It felt great. Last night was also a good workout night where we did my favorite - kickboxing. Tonight I was challenged to jog the 2.5 miles again but to shoot for 25 min.
It looks like everyone is doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

Morning ladies!
Well, I woke up late for the second morning in a row. Yesterday I was able to squeak into the crossfit gym in time for a workout, but today I didn't even have time for that. I'm still not used to the earlier workout schedule, plus doing the crossfit workouts, I am trying to get up at least 2 hours before the workout, so I can eat, since I never know if it will be lifting or running or what, and don't want to be lifting with no breakfast in me. That was one advantage of the crossfit dotcom workouts, is that they post them the night before, so you can plan your eats around what the workout will be.
It's another beautiful day today. I'm still trying to decide if I should go to my sister's and do some yard work, or stay home and take care of a few things. I'll figure it out when the caffeine kicks in, I'm sure.
DG, congrats on the 5 lbs! WOOT! I see you are getting close to the 100 lbs lost mark!
Lori, you are so close! I think you will do it...you've been on a losing streak lately! Go Lori!!!
Isabella, ! You're back on track now, so if you can avoid any more family emergencies, I'm thinking you'll see the results you want.
Hey Barb! Have fun with your challenge. That's cool that your BF is challenging with you! Where the heck is the FB?! She's ditched us, or been kidnapped by aliens, or something!
Jorie, congrats on the running milestone! Did you beat your time on the 2.5 mi? I hope you get your computer problems sorted out soon...that would be frustrating!
Well, still having computer problems so I need to make this another quick one on the work computer. Last night I did run again but did the 2.5 miles in 28 min again so I decided to keep going and did 3 miles in 34 min. That is my 1st time ever running/jogging 3 miles. After that I did some incline walking for 40 min. The weight went up a little so that is frustrating but I know it fluxuates during the week so I am not so concerned about it. I still think I can hit my goal by Easter - although that now means losing 1.5 lbs instead of .5 lbs.

Hey peeps! I got up on time today, but was sick as a dog. Been feeling awful every morning for the past 11 days. Diet related, I'm sure. Still trying to figure how to fit the added fats into my diet. Not sure I can, without some problems. I had given up my yogurt, so I'm adding that back in as of today, and will see if that helps. If not, then I'll cut the fats back again, and see if that works. Worst case, I just go back to eating the way I did before, which was low fat, which seems to work best as far as keeping guts happy. Being without a gallbladder is only a problem if you're trying to include dietary fats, apparently.
Jorie, don't feel bad...3 mins is a big difference! You kept your pace up pretty well for the 3rd mile, too! Woot! Speed will come with the miles, just naturally. I'm glad you're enjoying the running! The weight gain is probably just a load of water in your legs from all the running. Totally worth it!
I miss chatting with everyone. Life has just been a little hectic lately and then got sad last night. I had to make the decision to have one of my dogs put to sleep. We knew she wasn't doing well and didn't think she was long for the world, but I didn't think when I took her to the vet last night I wouldn't be coming home with her. Turns out she had developed a large tumor on her head and it was pushing her eye out. It was so sad. It's the first time I've had to do that. I just sat on the floor with her crying. The poor vet cried with me....just before she came in to see us she had to put her own dog to sleep. I'm really ok with it, just sad...I know she's in a much better place, but it was hard to do. The kids are too young to really understand. The oldest (3yo) keeps saying "Lucy got sick and went to a new home to feel better".
The scale has been creeping down for me this week. Today I was at 235.6...just 0.6 from my Easter goal. I had a hard weight training workout today so I know it may be up a lil tomorrow, but I'm hopeful for my Friday morning weigh in.
My BF and I are still trying to figure out the terms of our challenge.
Jam - Ugh....hope you figure out the belly issues. How's the pullup progress?
Yeah....where is FB? I miss her so much! Hopefully it wasn't aliens. Maybe she'll pop in and let us know.
I'm tired...I think I'm going to try to finish watching BL from last night and hit the bed. Actually I'm going to watch in bed which means I'll fall asleep about 5 min into it.
Things have been flying along this week!! I went to the Doc and asked him about the problems that I have had with my feet. He said it is shoes and than running just might be something I cant do! Well I dont believe that so I am getting new shoes ASAP!! I want to run!!
My workouts have been OP this week!! I am feeling awesome, I finally conquered the elliptical, I have hated that thing forever but decided I should give it a second chance!!
Well I have to get me and the DS ready for swimming today and if the sun stays out long enough a nice long walk!!
I am having a crazy up /Down/ scale/Body week. I wish they would have waited til next week to do there craziness !!! First the scale says 211.4 then 212.0 then 212.8 then 212.0 again ~I do this every month right before my TOM starts! DANG IT! DANG IT! AND DANG IT AGAIN!

Hey peeps. Well, the yogurt seems to have done the trick. I woke up yesterday morning and this morning feeling fine! After 11 days straight of waking up feeling like I had freaking food poisoning, it's so nice to be well again! So, the first day I loaded up on yogurt, had 4 yogurts in one day, then yesterday (day 2), I just had one in the morning, one at night. Whatever, it worked. woot!
I can't really tell what my weight is doing these days, since this past week I've been working hard to get up earlier and get back on my summer schedule of 5:30 a.m. wake-up time. So, I'll have to wait until I'm on this new schedule to see if my weight is going down or not, since a few hours can be a half pound or a few pounds diff, even, due to water weight changes. Weekend weigh ins are usually much more satisfying, due to the later weigh-in time, lol!
I'm going to attempt to get out of the house at 7:30 today, so I can be at the gym by 8, and have plenty of time for a nice warm-up and some skills practice before the crossfit workout. I've been cutting it too close and end up with little time for the warm-up. I'm just too old and inflexible to jump right into some of these workouts, so I'm trying to get out the door sooner.
Barb, sorry to hear about your dog! That is a hard thing, but with old dogs it is often like that, you know it's coming, but it still seems sudden when the time comes.
Angel, I don't buy that you can't run, either. I haven't done it myself, but I've heard it makes a big difference to go to a specialty running store, and have them evaluate your running, so they can recommend a corrective shoe if needed. There are all different styles of running shoes, so if your foot is coming down "wrong", which is pretty common, they will know which shoes can help correct that landing, turn your foot over just right, etc. You can still get the eval and shoe recommendations even if you don't buy the shoes from that store...at least then you'd know what type of shoe to look for.
Lori, I always do that, too, way over on the candy and stuff in the basket, same for Xmas. I have only 1 kid, so it's hard to get him Easter candy, since all of it comes in mega-bags. I'm trying to be better this year, and do more "stuff", less candy, but I haven't even shopped for Easter yet this year. Usually I'm ahead of it, but crossfit and 3fc have eaten my brain this year, and I'm behind on everything, lol. Speaking of which, I'd better get off here and hit the road!
Today was fun. DH was off work and I blew work off....we dropped the kiddos at daycare (yes a little feeling of guilt) and headed to Atlantic City for the day. We played blackjack, had lunch, played some more blackjack and headed home. We broke even and had a nice day out. It's rare that we are able to do something like that.
It was only dampered by this nasty sinus infection (I'm pretty sure) that I have. I'm thinking about stopping into one of the drop in medical clinics for an antibiotics prescription before I hit the gym tonight. I really don't want to go, but I already took one day off this week so I'll do some light cardio.
WAY TO GO BARB!!! CONGRAULATIONS ON MAKING YOUR GOAL!
Jam~I love yogurt and thinks it's super good for ya...SO I AM SO GLAD You have taken it back on and are feeling better..............Believe it or Not I never tried yogurt until I decided to lose weight....Weird hugh?
