Well, at this point I still don't have any progress to report. I would really like to lose a pound, for goodness sake! I haven't madeany progress in the last month.

I stayed OP for the last week. The previous weekend I allowed myself to go off plan for one meal, and in general, I am trying to allow myself one off-plan meal a week so that I can be more flexible with family outings. I guess that is probably responsible for my extremely slow (or completely lacking) progress.

Well, I'm not in a huge rush, so I am going to keep doing what I am doing. But it will be hard not to be bummed if I don't lose a pound and reach my current goal during this challenge.

Just checking in. I'm feeling stuck. I don't think I am, I think I have just slowed waaaaay down. It's hard to adjust to the new, slower weight loss. I think it is time to stop weighing every day and start weighing once a week.

I never did drop back down to that 170, it was a one day fluke. I've been rock steady at 172 for what feels like ages now. I have been playing with relooking at my calories. I don't think moving down is the answer though. If things don't change by next week, I think I might try for a week of eating at my maintenance range and than dropping back to where I am now. I'm trying really, really hard not to be impatient, but it's hard!

Yoyoma and cdiem4994 I know how you feel. I was stuck most of September but the scales finally moved last weigh in. Hang in there chickies and things will eventually start moving downward.

Hi Challenge chicks....I am back from vacation. I did put on a few pounds - however, I've taken one off already. I'll give myself a couple of weeks to take the rest off before I change my ticker up.

Congrats to all you 'losers'....keep pushing forward to folks struggling.

Thumbs up

Good Morning Fellow Chicks.
I had my weigh in last night and I am very excited to say I lost 2 pounds. I hope that I can keep up with at least 2 pounds a week. I have a very long way to go.
I am over my Halloween goal of 10 pounds.

I'm excited for weigh in this weekend because I sneaked a peek this afternoon after getting home from the gym, and things are looking pretty good!!! It will be nice to have an official number and hopefully, it will be a loss.

I cannot wait for tomorrow to be over with!! It will be nice to sleep in on Saturday and have a three day weekend to boot

Hello everyone!

This morning I weighed in at 194.8. I had gotten to my goal but a couple of days of bad eating has me back up a bit. Still plenty of time as I inch closer.

I weighed in this morning and I am so excited to see a drop of 1.6 pounds!!! I am now at 214.4 lbs and am that much closer to the 210 goal I set for myself at the beginning of the Halloween challenge!!

After last week, I was really doubting whether or not I would be able to hit the 210 mark because I felt like I still had such a long way to go. However, after this week, 4.4 pounds seems a lot more doable in three weeks. That definitely gave me a nice confidence boost!

Good job on your weight loss Scalewatcher and Chele. We can do this!

I weighed in this morning and have lost another pound. I don't think I'll make my goal for this challenge but I'm losing so that's the main thing to me. I won't be too far off goal though now that the scales are moving again. And I'm out of the 150s. Yeah!!! Finally. I haven't been in the 140s for nearly 30 years. I feel good.

I'm still here. I have been upping my calories to the 1,600 range vrs the 1,400 range. It has worked before. I also blew my plan completely yesterday. It was girls day which included pizza and oberweiss ice cream, neither in moderation. Honestly, I was feeling a tad burned and frustrated with the entire calorie counting weight loss thing so it felt good. I enjoyed myself and feel refreshed and ready to continue with counting calories. I'm gonna put the scale away today and bring it back out next Sunday and flip to only weighing once a week. I think it's time to make that change for myself too.

cdiem, I can relate...it's hard when the weightloss slows down. I spent a long time (it seems) being frustrated with the scale either not moving, moving slow, or moving the wrong way. Now, I feel like I'm used to it, and get all excited if it just doesn't go up, or I lose like .2 lb, lol.

I'd fallen off the exercise wagon, but recently got back into running, and that seems to have helped kickstart the weight loss again. I have been in the range of 187-188 this past week. My halloween goal is 182, I think. I don't really think I'll make that, but I'll keep right on with my plan and see how close I can get to it.

Sorry I haven't been around, but I just haven't had much time for the computer lately. It's a bit of a mad rush around here to get things ready for winter, cleaning up from the summer's mad garden/yard and bramble growth, homeschooling, and having a baby puppy unexpectedly dumped on us (with the accompanying lack of sleep, though thankfully I think he's finally getting where he can sleep through the night without needing a bathroom break). It might be a few weeks before things settle in to more of a routine, and then I'll be able to check in more frequently and actually be supportive and helpful on the board. Meanwhile, I'm reading what I can, and I think about you all every day.

Well -- scale was the same again for yesterday's weigh-in. But I'm feeling OK with that. I looked back at my records and saw that if I regard the first time I clocked 140 as a fluke and throw out that data point (or adjust it a few lbs higher), that it doesn't look like a plateau, just slow weight loss.

Anyway, I do think I'm losing weight slowly at this point or maybe my body thinks it's time to hibernate, lol.

Yesterday we went hiking and saw spectacular views of fall foliage. Then we went out to eat and I had a modest dinner (noodle soup with no noodles, lol) but splurged on a bowl of coconut ice cream for dessert. Other than that, I was OP all week. I think the scale will come around to my way of thinking sooner or later...

For those of you having trouble with the scale like me -- just keep at it! It's tough but we knew this wouldn't be easy. It's a lot tougher when things don't seem to be working, but they'll shake loose eventually.

And congrats to all the losers!

Totally know where you're coming from. I have pretty much just come to the point that I allow myself a bad day now and then. Last Saturday is a good example. We went to dinner at Red Robin and I had a big burger. I just don't sweat it when I have this type of food as long as it's only on occassion. If I didn't let myself do this I'd go nuts.

I find that even with allowing myself these "off" meals that I'm eating less and often making better choices even if it's on the bad side. After I have that meal I'm super motivated to get back on track and I've satisfied any craving I had for a while.

On the challenge front: I've made my goal. Weighed in at 193.4 this morning so I've lost the 10lbs I set. Woohoo! Now I have to work on my holiday goal which is to be at 180 by New Year's.

I disappeared for a while, it seems. I've been guiltlessly off plan for a while-it wasn't really 'off plan' but maintenance eating- because after 10 months of eating quite restrictively in calories, my body just needed a break. I am down one lb, though, and I'm back on plan today. The catch is that I'm starting back with a losing calorie level of 100 higher than I used to be at, because at the weight I'm at now, I'm really in no hurry to get those last lbs off. For this goal, I have 3 lbs left to lose, and I'm not sure if I'll make it but I will certainly try... But if I don't, not a single tear will be shed and I'll be proud of my hard work anyway.

Well, now I'm off to read everyone's posts that I missed.. I hope you all have a great day!
