Stayed OP Sunday and Monday. Today I am ok but probably didn't make the best choice. I am not going home after work, so I had lunch (because I was LAZY and didn't bring anything with me)... a breaded chicken cutlet on a wrap with melted provolone... I will probably just snack on some jello and light cool whip when I get home.

I hear ya!!! In my opinion, the fact that your friend is trying to justify as she is eating means that she is either self-conscious about eating the cookies or embarrased?? Maybe?? Yes, just eat'em or stop eat'em and get on plan...

I agree. I know she was probably embarrassed when i did not get cookies or anything like that myself. Just do not boast how you are loosing weight (and your not). I even was telling her how i cleaned out my closet (Samaritan house was coming by today for donations and got rid of some "big" clothes. YAY! ) and she said asked what i did with my size 14s. I told her i kept them for me when i drop another size (i am a 16 now) and she says "Oh." I felt like - "what, am i never going to get in them??" She used to be my dieting buddy but i can no longer count her for these reasons. So i just let her be and figure it out for herself. My hubby is my supporter and mainly this place. If i did not have all of you i would be lost.

I'm down... a half pound. xD Better than nothing, I always say!
I've now got 6 more to go for Hallowe'en.
My other goals for this challenge are going well, except for the dog walking one. *pang of guilt* I do have an excuse this time, because I HAVE had a cold for the past several days... But that doesn't excuse the fact that she's been cooped up inside, all but for a few times, for a huge chunk of this past summer.
I'm going to take her for a nice long one today.
Anyway, I hope you are all doing well on your goals for this challenge.

I have been religiously going to the gym and I am very proud of myself for that fact!!! I am interested to see how that will read out on the scale on Friday when I do my weigh-ins because I just started at the gym about 2 weeks ago.
Today wasn't a good lunch day since we had a professional day at school and ordered out at lunch. I didn't have a chance to find the person who was ordering the lunches before she called in the order and she ordered me a steak and cheese sub since that's what I always got last year. It was so good! haha So, I worked out a bit extra at the gym and also cut back a bit on dinner to make up for the extra calories at lunch.

Well, yesterday went from bad to worse... I went to a friend's house and they ordered pizza again... My intention was to get out of the house before the pizza arrived but I swear they delivered it in less than 15 minutes. Was this a sign I had two slices but did not enjoy them at all because it had all kinds of meat on it. The important thing is that while I slipped up, I recognize that... TODAY IS A NEW DAY!! YESTERDAY IS IN THE PAST!!! Here we go again...

That's right! the past is the past and hind sight is 20/20. I think it takes alot to get to that place where you can say that and move on. My last couple of days have been pretty good. I have been watching my calories like a hawk. I finally worked out again yesterday after a 5 day stretch of nothing. So that felt really good. I weighed in this morning and 1 lb gone. Hey a pound is a pound. I know i am not drinking enough water. so this is not helping with the weight loss so now i am adding another goal and that is to drink at least 68oz of water a day (that is 2 of my water jugs i have at work).
well i have Bowling league tonight so i will not be able to work out at home, but it is a good work out none the less.

OK, I am now 1 pound away from my Halloween goal. Uh...I seem to have gotten here a bit earlier than I expected...much, much earlier. I really cannot figure out why all the weight came off sooo fast this month compared to the prior month and a half -- my plan has been the same. Except maybe my strength training has really kicked up my lean muscle mass (I carry a lot of it anyway) so maybe I need more calories now to compensate? I already went up from averaging 1450 a day to 1600, but this last week I still took off about 3.5 pounds, and I cannot blame it on TOM water weight loss anymore. I feel silly whining about losing weight too fast, but I DO NOT want to plateau anytime soon by under-feeding my body, and I am not sure how much to alter my plan to slow down but not get completely off track. *whine, whine, whine*
As for staying on track foodwise and meeting my exercise goals for the challenge--I am really proud of myself. I have done very well with those.

Schumeany, congratulations on the loss and just about making goal so early. You are losing it as fast as I'm not. I've only got half a pound gone yet and I haven't gone off plan very often and I've kept up my exercise. So who knew??? What's up with that? By the way I'm going I won't make my goal until Christmas. Maybe things will start moving out this Saturday when I weigh in.
Thumbs up to everyone who is doing so well. :

I'm at another new time low, woo hoo! I went to a public forum thingie tonight for work and ran into someone I haven't seen in a few months. I got to hear...'have you been losing weight, you look great' Music to my ears as I (once again) had to pull my pants up. I swear, nothing fits these days, but I hate to buy new yet when I am so steadily losing weight! Life is good!

I wore a pair of pants yesterday to work that were a bit snug last year when I wore them. Anyway, I had to wear a belt with them because they were hanging so low on my hips, that I was so afraid that if I stepped on them or something, they would come straight down. I was so excited!!!
When "in between" sizes, sometimes I hit the clearance racks at places like Target, Kohls, Old Navy, etc for some pants to get me through for awhile until (hopefully) they're falling off me too! Although you end up buying more, the clearance prices make it more bearable at least.
We have our "Back to School" night tonight at work and I'm not looking forward to it. At least tonight is when the parents go through their child's schedule and hit each class, rather than the night where the parents have one on one time with the teacher. Although that doesn't really matter because none of my kids' parents usually ever come and I end up giving directions all night long! I usually get one or two parents and they usually just come by to say hello since their kid's awesome and never a problem (I work with learning disabled students) It can get lonely! haha

Hi Challenge Chicks....I am finally feeling phsycally better. I've stayed OP and I am grateful.
So many of you are doing GREAT...that's wonderful. If you are struggling - remember every day is a new beginning. Hop back on your plan...forgive yourself and carry on.
Quote of the day:
Worry is a think stream of fear which, if encouraged, becomes a wide channel into which all other thoughts flow. Assume an attitude of positive expectancy!

1 pound is great... I celebrate with every pound too. I don't have one of those fancy scales that shows each ounce so I look forward to whole pounds
It is my TOM so I am using that as my excuse... I had another BAD day yesterday. I cannot even guess my calorie count... Here's to trying this again today I am focused... I am going to do this... You guys are my witness... let's go ME!!!
