Morning!
I should have gone to sleep last night but I'm a sucker for those mystery diagnosis shows. And part skim mozzarella apparently I'm a bit surprised by the fat in that. My cals are OK but that is a larger fat percentage than I'd like. There's only one piece in my lunch bag today.

Hi Calorie Counters,
I'm having a tough time...I've given up looking for the quick fix and sick & tired of diets that force me to eliminate food groups...10 days ago I embarked on calorie counting through fitday. In my closet I've got lots of clothes but the only thing that fits right now is 2 pairs of pants and one pair of shorts. Can I join all of you for some support and accountability? My calorie goal is 1550/day.

Yesterday: 1700 41F/43C/17P 24g fiber -- not bad given that dinner was cheese & spinach ravioli in cream sauce. I ate 5 ravioli that were about 2.5 inches in diameter and counted them as 1.75 c. cheese ravioli in cream sauce in fitday. Dinner ended up at 1,031 calories and 46% fat -- good thing I was skimping earlier in the day!

Today's plan is to hit around 1450 18F/56C/25P and 35g fiber.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Good afternoon ladies! Well, yesterday I ended with 1600 eaten and 900 cals burned. I felt good though and wasn't any higher this morning. I decided I think I will try weighing myself each day and taking an average at the end of the week to get an actual weekly weight loss. We'll see if that works!

Welcome Brightside! This will probably be great for you and the last thing you'll ever have to do!

RocknRoll: It seems that you eat low calories and burn a lot. Do you do this a lot and see good results? (we're about the same so I'm curious what works!) Thanks!

Hope you all have a great day!!!

RockNroll- Me too, I don't remember when I was this number! LOL But trust me I don't want to stay too long! Good for you!!!

QueenJane- Mmmm yummy Ravioli! Well it's ok to up your calories too! Helps jolt your body a bit!

Milleradah- I'll do a happy jig for you too! Woo hoo girl!!! Keep up the awesome work!

Brightside- Calorie Counting IMHO is the best way to go!! Good luck to you, and don't be a stranger around her!

Susan- I'm also a sucker for those shows too!!! Though as of late, I've gotten into Big Medicine, and that one other show about the medical weight loss clinic. I love all medical shows. It'll help me while I go into Nursing! LOL!

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the site, but posted an Intro. and an about me in the Calorie Counter forum.

It sounds like everyone is doing awesome, keep up the good work! It's such a lift to see so much success in one place!

Well I made the big decision about a week ago and started couting calories yesterday. I did 1720, which I guess is okay but a little higher than I was aiming for. I am in the habit of having a bowl of cereal before bed and my rumbling tummy talked me into it. Not my proudest moment. I seem to be hungry a lot more than before, which makes sense of course. A couple times I have that rumbling hunger though, like right now in fact. I've been drinking nothing but ice water for the past week, which hasn't been TOO bad but getting a bit boring.

I'm thrilled to have found this place, and keep up the awesome work everyone!

Hey Tinky that is great! But I am catching up to you...I weighed my self this morning and it said 189.5 !!! I hit the 180's woot, I am so excited. Also we have decided to go to disneyland the week after labor day so I am thinking if I keep losing at this rate maybe I can try for 182/180 ish by then! Course I only let myself change my ticker once a week on Monday's just in case I bounce around, but lately the weight is just falling off and I will take it! I am still trying to catch you Tinky!! Creeping up.

Welcome Ohhkay8 this has been the best thing I have done for motivating my weight loss!

Rocknroll, I think I would pass out with those numbers girl!! Yikes, too few calories and lots and lots of exercise, I am on the working my way up slowly method, but since its working I am happy.

Have a great day everyone

Calories 1448 Fiber 15g (hmm maybe I better do one of those fiber drinks)
Average for past 7 days 1630 calories

Ohhkay- Hop on in!! You know just play with your calories, you can start at 1700 and then go from there. It took me about 2 weeks to really get it to where I'm satisfied. A bowl of cereal at night is not gonna hurt you, now if you ate the whole box in one night, we would have a problem!

Edzard- LOL Congratulations Grasshopper! LOL! You're doing great! I'll keep running till you catch me! Woo Disney Land, that will be fun! I know that place inside and out! I don't think you'll have a problem with getting to 180- 182, I'm sure you'll get there sooner. But hey, I'll still be ahead of you!

Calories: 1,037
-i will try hard for 1,200 today... I just ate a lot of fish and jello today because I was craving it!

In regards to my exercise numbers... I am training for my Cross Country season so this is pretty typical. Practices are killer and you really have to be in shape to SURVIVE! :P

So, what i'm doing right now is just conditioning. My practices have stretching, warm ups (high knees, ect) 1 mile warm up, 3-6 mile run/speed work, sprints (striders), ab work, and more stretching.

Its two ish hours of pure work... I am up to 90 minutes of cardio a day and it is the best I can do right now!!

Cross training lets me train without hurting myself!

I also find exercise very calming.

So in a nutshell, don't worry!!

Thanks Edzard and Tinky! Good job everyone!

Today's breakdown, according to FitDay:

1381 calories:
34% fat
48% carbs
18% protein
Fiber: 12 grams

538 calories burned according to FitDay. I'm really trying to work to increase that!

Right now I'm focusing a lot on calories, but soon will be paying more attention to the other values. One step at a time! I HAVE noticed that most of my calories seem to be coming from carbs... not sure what's good and bad about that.
