Hello! So far this weeks going great.. Eating a lot healtier and exercising harder..
This morning the scale showed 135!!! I'm hoping for 134 by the weekend. I think I can make it if I keep my hands away from the cookies in the house . There are living some kids here, so I can't just take them away..
Today I'll do 30DayShred and then Jump Rope for 25 minutes.
Last time I tried to lose weight (1,5 years ago) I came down to 135,, then the scale went back to 156 again.. So now I'm back.. This time I'm gonna go all the way down to 128!! and stay there.

Hey Teamies!

I changed my choice for next challenge to red. They will most likely split us evenly, so we can't all be on one team (boo!).

Just thought maybe we should keep a tally going, so we can try to split ourselves, rather than leave it to fate .

Wow theresia, you're doing great!!! I like how you have all your exercise goals in your signature!!! Good luck with your weight and exercise goals and I'm sure you're going to keep your weight down this time (me too!!!).

Cheree, thanks, the dog is getting better, she's heavily medicated for the next 2 weeks, muscle relaxants and pain med. They've already x-rayed her and cannot find anything that will show up on the x-ray so the vet hopes that by keeping her "down" and quiet she will have a chance to heal whatever is causing the muscle spasms. It is hard to see her so mopey and sad. It makes DH sad too

Good goals for yourself! I plan on eating healthy and exercising for the rest of my life too! I've tried it both ways, and its the ONLY way now.

Julz that is such a sweet goal it sounds do-able, you are working very hard, I hope you are rewarded!!

Thanks CeeGee for the dog health wishes...on the dog (see above) and I was thinking about the sign ups too having heard the fall out after many of us listed blue...I have left mine ambiguous so that someone else can choose the best team for me based on where my weight is needed so to speak Either way I look forward to seeing my Black team chicks continue to succeed with our goals! We may not have been the chattiest, but we worked HARD this challenge!

And by the way...size 8 is great! You'll be there...just keep working! But celebrate where you are now too, enjoy today along the way!

Swim I know you will make your goals! You've been so dedicated and determined, I've enjoyed reading your fitness reports! Best wishes to you in the next challenge!

Tara I agree with you totally, I have fought and sweated and planned healthy meals for EVERY .2 lbs that have come off this body and I know you have too! If you don't work for it HOW can you know how to maintain it.

Theresia...GOOD JOB! If you keep up the work you should have no problem!

As for me, its been a pretty good day!

I woke up and saw this:

which made me happy! If I can get it down 2 more by Monday I'd be thrilled...but I will take what I can get! I'm going to really give it my all every day this week!

I realize that my personal challenge is making it thru TOM without gaining. I have been keeping a daily chart of weight, exercise, calories eaten and calories burned for the last 3 months just to see if I can identify patterns. Almost without fail I go up 2-3 lbs around TOM and then I have to work for another 2 weeks to get those pounds BACK off before I go down a couple more lbs and then I am there for a week or so and TOM rolls around again. It is SO frustrating! I don't remember it being this hard when I was in my early 30's. So...I work and I sweat. If I can figure this out for myself I will continue to make steady progress, even if it IS slow. My only thoughts so far are to really plan every meal during those days and make sure I get extra water. All I can do for now is keep trying!

Thanks, Manick! Right back at ya! And congratulations! And I am with you on the TOM issue. I should make it my goal not to gain then too.

Wherever we all end up, we will still be the one and only Just Beachy Black Team, right? I can't thank you all enough for the support and friendship I've found here each and every day. My very best wishes to all of you in everything you do.

OK, enough of the cheesy/sad stuff, let's rock this week, team!

Hi gang. Sorry I haven't posted much recently. I've been way busy. I finally got back to the gym this week after being sick most of last week, oh & then the threat of the hurricane earlier this week....fun times.

Hopefully, work will slow down soon. Why do I always think that it will, when in my heart I know it won't??? Ah, well.

Have a great weekend everyone. I'm looking forward to it. My friend & I are going to get pedicures. Can't wait!

Thanks Manick! I think we all will be rooting for each other, even if we do end up on opposing teams! Great pic...I wanna see that before I am in my sister's wedding! I better get it into GEAR! I have been slacking off this week. I have been working out, as always, but I have been giving into foods that are virtually impossible to figure out how many calories are in them. I have also noticed after some weeks of loss, I have a week or two (!?) of nothing! So frustrating! Anyway, your pic was an inspiration, b/c that's where I want to be in 14 months! I know that I can do it, I just have to buckle down and make it a priority.

Thanks for all of the support and encouragement that I have seen from this team. Through the losses and gains, you all have been there with kind words. I will miss all of you and look forward to joining back up next month for the next challenge. Those of you that are not going to be joining us again, good luck and I'll see you around on the other forums here. We are the Just Beachy Black Team! Everyone have a great weekend! I'll be back before it's all over, but I know some won't be, so I wanted to say my piece when everyone would see it.

Go Black!
