Hi ladies!

I just cannot keep up with personals every day... lol.... you all talk too much

Anyway.... just a quick update on me. I'm trying to stay on plan and I'm not doing toooo badly. I'm having some major issues with exercise as I' m in a LOT of pain this week. My hip is killing me and the pain is radiating up and down my leg.... bleh. I'm feeling very old this week.

I talked to my Karate instructor yesterday and said : "I'm feeling old because every other week I have one injury or another" and he said "Let me guess... your hips are bothering you?" .... I was like.... "Wow"...

Apparently it's fairly normal for Karate. You're moving your legs into kicks that put your hips into positions they've not gone into for years. Something else about rubbing off calcium deposits.... ARGH!!!!!!!!! Whatever,... it hurts.

I have a class in about two hours, and I'm going to try and go, but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do. *sigh*....

I want to get fit and healthy, and I'm guessing it's going to hurt getting there, but this is not pleasant.

Anyway.... whining over....

I hope everyone has a great, motivating day!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi y'all! Just want to say THANKS to Diva for my new avatar!!

I'm falling behind in my water consumption today...TOM is here in full swing, and I need all the extra water I can get to flush this stuff out!

I'm still not exercising....I guess I am just going to have to put it in my planner every day--make an appointment with ME!

Hello all! I ended yesterday with as poor of eating as I started it with. I'm trying to make sure I get a lot of water in to flush out my system. I'm on track to have a good food day today. I couldn't make myself get up to exercise this morning. I imagine that a big part of that was the body lagging due to the poor food choices yesterday. I also have not slept well the past few days. Work has been busy and I'm having a hard time turning my brain off at night.

I went to my Zumba class last night. A couple of weeks ago, our instructor had some conflicting engagements and couldn't find a substitute teacher, so she had 3 of us who are regulars just lead the class. Well, last night she had a sick child and we lead the class again. I'm actually surprised at how much I remember of the routines. I didn't realize that I remembered as much as I did.

I'm dragging this morning. I need to wake myself up before my meeting (the same one I missed yesterday )

Have a great day Red Team!!!

thanks....so far this is my day two of no cancer sticks lol and i have done the tricep pushdowns and bicep curls on the CrossBow (like a bowflex) and then we all did the upper body workout of Leslie Sansone's with 2# weights...all feeling sore...just have our 20 min jog attempt to do now. and we liked the walk/kick WATP, so me and the girls might do that first.
i took their inches measurements this morning...and we're doing them again on 5/17 (i'm doing mine everything 3 weeks during this challenge)...so we can see how things are progressing.

There are no washrooms though, so I don't want to drink to much because this girl doesn't go in the woods!LOL! Well I better get the kids going. Have a great day ladies~
Have fun! Jess and I will be doing a lot of walking on Saturday too. We have his company pic-nic @ Dollywood. Last year I think we walked for 8 hours straight up and down hills and it was so HOT! I was sore for a week! LOL! This year since we know our way around a little better, we have a plan.

Sorry about the hip. I've been dealing with Hip bursitis for about 6 or 7 weeks now. It swells up into this Flinston bump and really hurts. It flairs up usually after a lot of activity.

Awwww, Sorry about the lack of sleep. That usually makes me make really poor food choices. Be strong! WTG on the leading your Zumba class. That's awesome!

Doctor's scales are ridiculous. I could weigh in at home, eat nothing, and then go to the doctor, and it would say 10 or even 15 lbs more! I only trust my scale lol.

If you can all just bear with me for another week as I have soooo much going on, and I promise I will be a better team mate and be more involved. For those of you who know me from the last challenge, you may remember me mentioning that my son has a lot of medical conditions that are very serious...he has juvenile epilepsy and a blood disorder, amongst other problems. Well, we have had some set backs with my baby(not really, but will always be my baby no matter what age ...13 years old) and we are in the midst of adjusting his meds and have a lot of appointment s with the doctors at Sick Kids, etc. Along, with that I have had vertigo, and it is also my sons confirmation this week, so to say its been a hectic month, would be an understatement.
I really miss being able to chat with all of you and I look forward to being an active team member. If you guys, feel like I shouldn't be here, I will repect your wishes. I just ask you for one week.

Thanks you kindly.
Whoa, that's a lot of stuff going on. Being a kid and having illnesses like that is a real bummer. I had two heart surgeries before my 9th birthday, and I couldn't run or play or have fun. Of course, you have a teenager, so maybe he's hit video gaming age, lol. Anyways, I hope everything goes well with you, and we all can't wait until you can come talk to us some more. Life gets in the way of life, don't feel bad about it.

Ok, first- cool job! I can't be trusted in a lab.
Good for you for moving when not necessary! I miss the stairs in my dorm; I was shedding weight like there was no tomorrow by climbing 4 flights of stairs a couple times a day. Whoever invented the stairs was a health nut.

I know how you feel, I'm in a not-moving rut as well. I'd be great if the treadmill wasn't broken, I love using it, but it is. Its too hot here in the Sunshine State even in the early morning to go out, hitting 80 or 90 degrees early.

Ditto for me. I'm already planning out menus and lists for when I go back to school so I don't leave a single thing to chance. Already decided to let loose the 3 days before classes, but after that, its the straight and narrow. I should have thought of using Excel though, thanks for the idea!

Ok, so my turn: Finally went to sleep last night around 12-ish before the dogs woke me up at around 12:15. Went back to sleep and got up today a few minutes before 8, the first time in a week or two. Its taken me almost 2 hours to go through these pages and reply, lol.

I've been night binging the past 2 days, but last night it ended. I took a shower, shaved, brushed my teeth, and felt like a new woman! I'm a little scared for my weigh-in tomorrow, but I'm determined to do some exercise today. I want to tape some FitTV workouts and use them in case my equipment goes out again. The only problem is if I want to take them to school with me, I might not be able to since all I'll have is a DVD player. Maybe I should just break down and order some DVDs.

Well, I'm off to do some cleaning since I'm the only one home right now. I might paint my nails and toenails while watching M*A*S*H as a foodless pick-me-up. Here's hoping everyone stays OP today and does excellent!

M*A*S*H is an excellent show to keep you from eating while watching TV. Everything looks so revolting that food loses all appeal.

Good Morning Everyone...AND..Good News!!
I have officially been on plan for 3 days now...
And as of this morning I have made it out of the 240's!

It seemed like that small little task was taking forever. But with a little hard work I've made it there and I feel so good about it! I've been trying really hard to eat right and not eat as much at dinner (we usually have a late dinner so I know that isn't good) and i've been working out longer than I normally would...and hitting the treadmill at a faster pace. Ughh...what a weight off of my shoulders ...i feel so relieved that I have lost something more than just 1 pound!

Mandey - Congrats on not smoking. I've never been a smoker but have a lot of friends who are and I know how hard it is for them to quit.

I hope everyone else is doing well. Hang in there!

Go Team Red!!

Stacy
I am glad to hear you have gotten things on track. Makes a person feel good to be doing what we know we should. Don't worry about when you are eating as long as you don't let to long go in between meals. That really is an old tale about eating late. It is calories in and calories out. Eating late does not cause you to gain weight or not lose weight. It might mess with your digestion or cause heart burn or things like that but it doesn't effect weight loss. There are all kinds of old tales that people still believe.

Will catch up later with everyones posts have to get a workout done. I slept EIGHT hours last night. I couldn't believe it.

Good afternoon buddies,

sorry I've been MIA but I have been so sick. I finally started feeling good yesterday and then I had to type my Speech and Language take home final exam and plan my last observation lesson for today for my apprenticeship. I have been so busy, but i'm sooo glad that I feel better...FINALLY!!! I"m just so tired now! I haven't been able to exercise once this whole week because of how sick I have been and now today I have class from 4-8:30pm and then tomorrow DS has a baseball game, so I'm hoping my weigh in is good just from being sick and having less of an appetite! *fingers crossed* 2 more days until weigh in. HOpe everyone is doing well.

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick post to let you know I am still interested in taking part in this challenge. However I am very busy right now with work, band volunteer stuff and just keeping up with the housework. Anyway, I am, as usual, doing great with the exercise not so great with the eating. I still try to come on here everyday to remind myself that with some effort a person can lose weight. You are all so inspirational.

This weekend my oldest son is graduating from college, finally. Plus, my husband reserved a a bouncy house for the backyard for Mother's Day. I love those things! Since my youngest child is already 17, its really for me to play in! I am going to let the neighbor kids use it as much as they want though.

A lesson I learned today--STICK TO MY EATING SCHEDULE!! I was so late eating lunch and so ravenous that I made foolish choices...and now my stomach hurts. When will I learn??

well i did interval jog/walk on the treadmill...so did 10 min joggin and 10 min walking. so my 20 minutes was 1.16 miles. have updated my virtual walking vacation ticker and my blog to have all my exercise for today too....am so proud of me this week and have put in my 20 minute jog.walk in for the beach hip contest.... so tomorrow i need to do at least 75 minutes of exercise tomorrow.
with hubby's exercise plan he's done for us, i had to update my may goals...so updated to 50 miles/May and 1000 minutes/May. and am doing rather well....for May 1-8 (today) i have completed 13.70 miles of 50 miles. and 487 minutes of 1000 minutes....
so may be updated my may goals....again before next weekend.
our 6th wedding annv is may 17th and that's my 2nd measurements due date....so i will have those posted on my website by noon that day and hope to see some progress in 3 weeks (i am updating my measurements every three weeks of this challenge, plus the weekly weigh in).

Jen415 - I was doing the same thing when I got home from work! I was waiting too long between lunch and dinner so when I got home from work I was starving and would munch on anything. Now i've balanced it out to have a snack inbetween so when I get home i'm not eating everything in the cabinets String cheese is my hero.
