Hey ladies! Well sorry I haven't been posting much the last few days. Zachary has been sick all week long. Ear infection, high temp, sore throat, pink eye, then throwing up..... I just feel like I can't win. Eating has NOT been good and the scale is showing that for sure. Hoping that I can get some of it off by Monday's WI. I have lots of homework to get done this weekend, because needless to say with him being sick, I haven't gotten jack squat done. Ok well I hope everyone else is staying on track!!!

Hey ladies!! Sorry I too have been MIA for much of the daily chatter. I think it's mostly because I am starting to stress about this 5k coming up! In less than a week I will have completed my 1st official 5k! My 8 yr old son begged me last night to sign him up for the Youth 1.2 Mile Run. How could I turn him down?! He wants to run, I'll let him run! I don't think I am ever going to have to worry about him putting on weight. He's already asking to join a Track & Field team so I'm going to be looking into that and seeing if I can find one for him locally.

I've been staying OP for the most part. Exercising every day, if not at the gym, at home doing the Push challenge or playing outside with my son and the neighbor kids.

I hope every mom has a wonderful Mother's Day! and for those that are not mom's...have a wonderful weekend!

Good Afternoon! I hope everyone is doing well. I promise to start keeping up on the personals, this week has just been frantic.

I am OP and exercising, but next Friday I travel 15 hours back to ND where I will be staying for the next month for the Graduation/Confirmation season. My husband and I are from big families so I have 6 Grads and 3 Confirmations, then my BIL is being deployed and we are having a party for him, 2 birthday parties for 4 people, and then a house warming party for one of the College Grads. I am going to be busy!!!!

Everyone have a wonderful mother's day!!!

hey guys! sorry i've been mia lately. my bday weekend [it's always a five day event], was last weekend, and right after that i started my classroom observations and have been in the class room all day every day for the past week. that, and working out and keeping up with eating and studying for my CSET, which is this sat, has been keeping me busy.. that, and playing my new wii, which i am currently obsessed with...

anyway, i'm at the end of my metobolic adjustment stage so that i can start the weight loss portion of my regiment again on monday! i'm glad to have had this time to realize that my weight loss so far [32 lbs], is really good, but i'm ready to get rid of more of this baggage and really earn my place as a red team member!!

it's so crazy though because i am currently on a "break" this weekend with no specific eating plan, but i realized that i can't eat as much as i used to. like, even with amazingly good food in front of me, i can only have a third of what i used to eat and suddenly feel really full! its weird! plus, i've become one of those people who always has to be moving, which is odd because i spent most of college incredibly sedentary.. i'm always antsy and walking or dancing or wii-ing or something!

anyway, i hope you guys are having THE BEST weekend.

Wow! Everyone has been missing in action too!

Hope everyone is doing well - and thanks for the advice on breakfast everyone! I've been eating it - but cutting down on the amount of oatmeal. I think that the 3/4 cup is a bit much - and I'm still hungry by lunchtime.

Which brings me to another point. I'm in Japan right now! (On school business and such.) It's 4:40AM, and I'm still jet lagged. This is the second time I've been here. I found a scale at the university gym.. and had to convert from kg to lbs. I haven't lost any weight -- but I think part of it might be due to TOM + also the fact that they eat so much salt here. I've been eating a LOT less, but I haven't been drinking enough water. : / I gotta work on that a bit. I can eat just about any food (that's my problem in the first place - most all food tastes good to me!)

On the other hand, since I've been here before - It's easy enough to buy at least one piece of fresh fruit a day. Yesterday, an orange, today a kiwi... though for the equivalent of $1.50, that means only 1 California orange. Makes you appreciate the availability of fruit at home!

I'm trying to continue to actively get some exercise (even if I get stared at) here in Japan. Doing sit ups in my room, and taking plenty of long walks!

*hugs to everyone*
-Rach

Just a quick note -- we are headed out but wanted to "drop by" and say "hi". Hope everyone is doing well. I'm back on track after a few bad days -- but even my bad days don't hold a candle to my previous "regular days" before I started WW.

I hope all the sick Red team members (and the sick kids ) are feeling better soon.

Alright, first off really sorry about not doing the daily chatter with you awesome ladies it has been a stressful week, month, year, LOL anyhow my husband has been flying here and there for job interviews and we get the results back from him taking the CA bar(for the second time) this friday, so we are really really really nervous around here.

Ok back to topic, wow all you ladies are doing such an awesome job with exercising and staying OP. I have a good OP system but I allow myself friday a extended calorie limit and also no limits on what type of food, everytime I do this though the next day the scale shows a 2pound gain. It takes me about three days to get back down to my weight prior to friday. It is a horrible cycle, I really need to change the rules for fridays, idk something has got to give. So for the last three weeks this is what my exercising schedule has looked like

M-whole body strength training class-60min
T-Kickboxing-60min
W-Kickboxing-60min
Th-Whole body strength training class-60min and kickboxing-60min
F-Kickboxing-60min
S-Kickboxing-60min
Su-Rest

I am so afraid I am going to be unable to keep it up then I will get down on myself, but for now I seem to be doing good!!

So I will make a goal to def be more active on this thread, thanks for listening to my rant!! GO RED!!

I'm soooooo proud of you gf! I hope they are taking lots of pictures! Love ya!

We just got home from Dollywood. I am so pooped and my feet hurt but we had so much fun! I can't wait to go back. We got completely soaked on the water rides! hehe

I logged a good 210 minutes (3.5 hours total of walking, prolly more, but I'll go with that. Thinking I finished the exercise challenge, lol!

Happy Graduation Melissa!!

Okay.
I finished the exercise challenge today - I needed 85 minutes in one day because I slacked off two days this week and didn't want to count anymore housework (I'd already counted 120 minutes and decided that is going to be my limit for the badge challenges). So, I biked to the gym (2.5 miles), did the stair climber, some pull ups and pushdowns, arm-peddler and elliptical and then biked home. That got me 85 minutes. Phew! I prefer to not do that all in one go!

I'm also down a total of 4.2 lbs from our first weigh in! I'm hoping Red Team kicks booooooty this week!

Jewelie, where are you traveling to in ND? I am heading up there on Friday as well for the weekend for the Fargo Marathon (5k) and then will be up there the following weekend for Memorial Day weekend. You are definitely going to be busy while up there!
