Well, Jess managed to pi$$ me off last night. I was in a great mood and then BOOM, he did it and I've been in a rotten mood every since. Not only that but I have gone WAY off plan. I have binged and feel totally out of control. I do not understand how I can go from feeling like a mini Jillian to being totally out of control in just 24 hours. I tried to get myself in a better mood. It's so hard once I get this way, grrrrrr. I hate grumpy, moody me. Anyway, Sorry to be a downer.
Danielle, Seems like we may be in the same boat right now.
Happy Anniversary Tina!!!! I know someone else is having hers too but I can't remember who, please forgive me and Happy anniversary to you too!
Sara, I hope you feel better. That must feel weird.
kellybones, WTG on the stepos and trying to be more active.
shelby897, I have 2 boys. I've always wanted a girl, up until the peeps behind us moved in with their two VERY dramatic daughters, lol! I'll take my boys any day over them. My boys are 100% completely different from one another. But I will ay the ages of 12 & 13 were by far the hardest. Once we got past that, it was all good again. My oldest is grown and on his own down in GA. But my baby is almost 15 and I will try and keep him here as long as I possibly can lol. He's my baby and I don't know why he won't just stop growing!
Hey & to Mel & everyone!
Where's Melissa73? I haven't seen her post unless I just missed it.
On the topic of kids -- boys versus girls - who has both? I'm just curious becuase I'm the youngest of three girls and relaly wanted boys (got two ) because I was afraid of having a teenage girl!! What do you think is easier -- girls or boys??
I have one of each (girl - 5 and boy - 2). hard to compare but daughter took forever to potty train (but calculate in the equation moving in 3 states 5 times in about 10 months and mommy getting preg as soon as daddy comes home from a 22 month deployment)....son is gonna start potty training soon...but so far they're both pretty good.
neighbor has two boys (3 and 5) and they are totally different. the 5 y/o is independent but the 3 y/o is a mom's boy (we all call him her butt magnet, he's under her feet all day) LOL

I didn't want to go to the gym at all but somehow convinced myself to drive there after work. I went to the locker room to change and "oh crap" yep I had packed everything but a shirt to wear. I wore a sweater to work today so that wasn't an option but I did have on a SUPER thin Old Navy tank(um undershirt really) on under it. So because I had posted that I was going to work out and didn't want to disappoint I sucked up my pride and rocked the sports bra/spaghetti tank combo. It showed every bump and lump but I did it!!
he he it did make me suck in the whole time so I'm sure that helped too!!
Have a good night all!
you so rock !!!! good for you for getting a good workout in and not letting your pride stop you! WTG!

My youngest was on me about it and we were watching something about Mardi Gras and Ash Wednesday. It also happen to be the first day of my TOM and it's easier to quit then. So I've been smoke free since. Course no one around me here smokes, so no temptations. That'll happen when I go home this summer and am around my girlfriends and we go for margaritas.... hopefully I won't give in......
Thanks...working hard on it....so we'll see how clean my house stays and how much exercise i get in each day (my new ways to avoid the cigs)...i figure those are the healthy ways to help quit - have a clean house (also equals a happy hubby) and a more fit body so i feel better about quiting.
Kerry – I have an 8 year old angel from heaven and a 5 year old handful. They are like night and day -- the oldest is Christopher so I tell everyone that Nicholas is my "anti-Christopher" because they are so different.
The five year old has already broken a wrist along with two trips to the ER for running in the house and crashing into the wall – leaving those lovely big lumps/black eyes!! I always get the “don’t you want a girl” but we are done, done, done too!!
Heather – you did awesome at the gym – sucking in the whole time was great for the abs!!!
Diva – I’m still working on the whole – “someone bugged the crap out of me – head to the cabinet thing” so I’m not good with advice – but you can get back on track – you are entitled to do this for you!!
Armywife – I’m so glad I never had a “butt magnet” I will admit now that my little guy is getting ready to go to school this fall, I’m missing the cuddling babies – but I’ll be okay!! It’s been 9 years since I’ve been alone!!!
Time to get my butt to work so I can go to bed before 2:00 a.m. again!!
Okay Red team its crunch time for me I've got to study study study for my last exam so I'm not gonna do personals allthough I do gotta say Heather YOU ROCK!!! Way to go at the gym tonight!!!
I'm STRESSED, not so much about my exam but about money. Hubby has been off work for about 6 weeks now...OUCH! If I had time I feel like I could work my stress off by cleaning house, I noticed tonight that I do that! But gotta get my nose in the book. At least I'm not running to eat though right! LOL!
Have a wonderful evening and Wednesday all! I'll be back after my exam...oh who am I kidding I'll be here on study breaks! LOL!
WOOOHOOOO Jay!! That is fantastic news!! Just think, you keep this up and pretty soon you'll just be overweight!!!! Wont that be exciting! Do you know what number that is yet? Congrats on your great work so far!!
Jay
That is so terrific. Won't be very long and you will just be overweight. You have worked very hard to get to where you are. Great to know dedication and commitment really get a person somewhere.
Bella
I was wondering how things were going with your son.
Tina
Happy anniversary
Cathy
I made a promise to my daughter when I hit my goal of 120 I would quit. You know, 120 looked a long way away at 198 lol doesn't look that far now. Glad I made a promise instead of just telling her I would quit. I keep my promises if it is in my power to do so and I am sure just like losing weight, it will be in my power to stop smoking. Anyone that is at the house that smokes, smokes outside. I am the only person that smokes in the house so that should help.
Fat chick
Good for you sticking to what you had planned no matter what.
Kelly
If I am in your building get out of my way when I have to go potty. lol I am lucky sometimes to be able to go the 15 feet from my den to the bathroom let alone 26 steps lol.
Kerry
My son does Ti wan do or what ever it is called lol I call it all AHHH YAAAAAA stuff lol. He has me moving and kicking in ways I am sure the body just isn't suppose to do lol. He just got his green belt and now thinks it is good for me to kick my legs higher than I ever thought they should be off the floor lol. You keep going you will get back on plan and get where you want to be.

I've been struggling with the exercise this week. I just couldn't make myself go either Sunday or Monday. I really didn't want to go today. I just had a bad attitude. I got on the elliptical and was going slower than normal with the idea of only doing 30 minutes. But at some point into the workout, I made up my mind to do 90 minutes, and I did it! That's a full 30 minutes longer than normal! Of course, my heart rate was average 146, where usually the average is around 156.
So here's my question to you all...
What do you think is better, a longer, less intense workout or a shorter, more intense workout?
To those of you trying to quit smoking, give the patch a try. It worked wonders for me when I quit 3 years ago. Good luck!
Just dropping by and checking in, looks as if everyone's having a busy week.
I had to work yesterday and today, so the only exercise I got in was running the stairs up and down at work and the "pushing it" challenge. I always feel a difference in me when I haven't hit the gym, especially in my mood Kind of a weird feeling for a girl who used to consider running after her kids the only form of exercise she got lol. Now I freak out if I haven't burnt some serious calories. I have managed to stay 100% OP this week so far, so that's good. I even gave up cake at work yesterday. They were giving it to us for Nurse's Day. Nice gesture, but I declined it. I really wanted a piece though
My DS (oldest) turns 10 tomorrow........how on earth did I get old enough to have a ten year old?!?!?! I swear I was just graduating high school last year. Kind of odd for me for him to hit that 10 year mark. I haven't lost him yet, hopefully I have a few years before he thinks I'm "totally weird" (his words just today).
I'm off to bed, hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week!!
I weighed myself on Monday, but I was constipated and I figured I should try again Tuesday... forgot Tuesday... finally weighed in this morning, and I'm up half a pound. Still puts me at 2 pounds total for the challenge so far, so that's not bad.
I haven't exercised at all this week. Probably would have helped with my stress, but I was just too busy. Yesterday I used my free time to catch up on sleep... I don't need a whole lot of sleep, but 4 hours a night too many nights in a row eventually catches up with me. I don't expect to exercise today or tomorrow (every minute is booked!) and Friday is questionable. But by Saturday, I'll be getting back on track.
Well, I guess sharing last night has helped. I am less moody this morning and ready to get back on track. I'm going to be hitting the GYM and all that jazz today. I gotta get back in that Jillian mode and remember what my goals are. Life is too short to be angry & bitter. I really need to dive into Bob's book. I know Chap 1 gets you into the "emotional" stuff and I just don't wanna go there so I've been putting it off, but I need to just do it.
Anyway, no words of wisdom here, I am just going through the motions...
So here's my question to you all...
What do you think is better, a longer, less intense workout or a shorter, more intense workout?
Hmm I think maybe mixing it up is the best? It seems to work better for me anyway.
Have a good day ladies. All you guys talking about kids has been great birth control . I know you love them and they really are great but man what work!!
csChick: Exercise is not my area, really...all I know is that it's important to move your body!
Diva: Glad you are feeling better today. Yesterday is over...just go forward!!
Mayness: I am the same way with sleep--too many short nights and I am unbearable!!
JAY!! Never thought being obese would be a good thing, did ya?
Well Red Sisters, as of today I am officially down 25 lbs from my highest weight! This is just one of many milestones I will encounter on my journey! And you can bet I will celebrate every one of them!
