Wait! I just bought Butch and V's books today at lunch. I was looking for the first Tanya Huff book to send to you. I'm thinking maybe I loaned it to someone here at work, but no one is fessing up. I'll find you a copy somewhere though. Her books were made into a tv show, Bloodties which aired on USA. (I'm attaching a pic of the vamp from the show.) Anyway, I saw B & V's books and knew you'd want me to buy them for myself even if I didn't get you anything. Cause that's the kinda team leader you are, right? I finished Z's book last night. Without saying too much on here, I didn't see some of those twists coming.

Okay....I just finished Z and B's book today. Wow. Not sure yet what I think about that ending. Chellez, it will be heading back in the mail to you tomorrow.

Wasn't sure if I was going to walk with Hubby today as my sinuses have been horrible...headache this morning and plugged ears. But, we went anyways. Glad I did as I'm sure it will help the scales smile for me on Monday. I really hope I'm just battling allergies and not coming down with a cold. I'm on vacation next week and I'd like to enjoy the week with my family. We're not doing anything special, just spending some time together.

Hello everyone! Jumped on the scale and I am 3 pounds down - total 15 pounds down this challenge YAY!!!

It sounds like everyone has enjoyed reading those books. I have been re reading Jane Austen... totally different genre but it has helped me not think about food.

Nori - that drink bottle is really nice.

Selina - Its so great that your hubby wants to join us on the next challenge.

Well - this weekend I am off on a sewing retreat!!! I am sooo excited... we are doing a mystery project and I hope to get a handbag sewn, a trendy lunch bag and an I spy quilt for my DS. I am going to concentrate on sewing and not on the meals that I know will be soooo tempting, to put me off plan. Moderation is my plan.

I am off to pack my suitcase!!! Have a great weekend all!

My lungs are on fire. I just got back from a little run outside. It was nearly 60 degrees earlier when I wanted to go but we were busy with some plumbing issues so I didn't get to go until after dinner. The temp was already down to 44*. I forgot my gum and didn't realize I was going to need gloves. It was my first outdoor run so far this year. 1.6 miles in 25 minutes. That is a pretty pitiful 15.63 min/mile. I hope to improve on that soon. I jogged about 1:15 out of every five minutes. I can usually do that in every three minutes on the treadmill in a comfy 67*. Oh well. It can only get better, right?

Doc wanted me on a <1500mg sodium diet. I was at 2376. Not quite what he is looking for but better than the 4000+ I usually eat. Stupid boxed convenience food.

You guys keep up all the talk about vampire books and I might have to start reading them myself. Not much beats a trashy romance novel.

I think that's great! At this point, the most important this is that you're doing it.
Question for you...have you noticed an increase in weight loss since you started this?

Vanessa - 15 pounds is awesome! Congratulations.

Not yet. Right now I am still fighting the increase in appetite. I haven't yet figured out how to balance the two. I'll burn 200 calories or so and eat 400 because I am so famished. I'm working on it.

Vanessa, a sewing retreat? Sounds fun! I love to sew, I've made three queen sized quilts as gifts for my MIL, Mom and Grandmother. They are so neat to design, I didn't use a pattern and had never sewn more than a baby blanket, pillows, some clothes, etc but I just read up on it and voila! :: pats self on back::

I just need a retreat of any kind I think! HA!!! Any ideas? Would love to go to Geneen Roth's. She is so good about eating for emotions, etc. Love her. If you've never read her books, Google her.

Not a good day for being OP. Tons of ppl at dh's work made food, cakes, etc and we brought pizza bc today is his bday. It was fun though visiting with everyone up there, I like most all the ppl at his work, at both of his works..LOL.

Well, be back 2mrw! Hugs, Selina

Dee - I don't think the aluminum water bottle keep the water any colder than the plastic. They aren't insulated. I often freeze mine with a few inches of water in the bottom and then in the morning fill it up and it stays colder that way.
