Chelle - I couldn't find any of Angela Knight's books, I may have traded them. Have you already read Tanya Huff's series? I brought a couple of her books with me today in case you hadn't. How about Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire series? Not so much steamy, but very funny.
I haven't read either of those. I like the steamy stuff so send it on!
BTW... I was told i needed to take my Book Exchange link out of my signature so the only way anyone can access the list now is through my blog link in my signature.
Hi Anna. I’m here….just stressing about a job situation today. I gotta go tell my “boss” that this certain project just doesn’t seem to make sense….seems useless. I’ve been wracking my brain around this thing all day, and I think it’s a colossal waste of time and effort. Any bets on how this one goes?
Guess who slept well last night? Yep, me! I worked for 13 hours yesterday to get by project completed on time. I guess the pressure was off and the sleep kicked in.
Well, I didn’t go walking with the ladies last night. I didn’t get finished with my project until 8pm and I was exhausted. I took a nice relaxing bath and watched some TV instead. Of course, my scales are showing me the results of no exercise. They haven’t moved much at all this week. My Dad’s favorite quote is “You make time for what’s important to you.” He’s right. I need to get more organized with my time and include the exercise. I was reading some things that Meg said about maintenance on their thread and one of the things was about exercise. Based upon information from the National Weight Control registry, the number one way that people are successful at maintaining their goal weight is daily exercise. I have to make this a priority! Today, I will sit down and make a schedule for myself and then, I'll get stinky like Anna!
Chellez – Do I get a book, too? I’m on the last page of Lover Eternal Nori – Yes, it is allergy season…unfortunately, I know this all too well. My sinuses are killing me! Has anybody here used the Neti pot? I’m seriously considering picking one up and trying it. Taking pills makes me feel like crapola. Lisa – is Simon anything like the Simon on American Idol? Yikes, that would be a whole lotta fun! NOT. Kelly – Yes, 222 is a very pretty number. I think I’d like to try seeing that number on my scales in the very near future. Purple – I’m picturing you going down the slide. Wish I was a fly on that wall….er, tree? Karen – Sorry you’re getting hit by the snow again. I’ll be nice and not brag about our weather today. Selina – I’ve been doing quite a bit of research on running and the knees. Arthritis can be caused by being overweight for many years and has nothing to do with running or exercise. What most people develop is runner’s knee which is caused by shoes that aren’t suited to your foot motion and lack of strength in the muscles that support the knees. If you don’t have arthritis already, and you can get fitted by a running store and do strength training for you legs, you probably won’t have any problems. Also, my Dad swears by Osteo Bi-flex…which is a combination of glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM. My Dad has arthritis although he has always been slender and always worked out. I picked some up at Sam’s, but I keep forgetting to take it. Lisa – I had a hard time with hunger yesterday, too. I really think mine is from lack of sleep lately. Lack of sleep produces hormones that impact our hunger cues within our body. How’s your sleep lately? Getting plenty?
I'm so excited and NOT hungry like yesterday! Hope everyone is having a great day.
You must have just needed a high cal day. Glad it is not persistent.

Nori - I was born in August. My neck wasn't as tight as it has been sometimes, I just moved wrong in my sleep the night before last and woke up crazy stiff.
I got interrupted again, and had to log off, so now for the rest of my post...
Theresa - I used to love playing in the park with DSS. Now he's more into playing the Wii, but he will play tennis or frisbee with me still.
Rhonda - Nothing to be sorry for, I don't always love Florida either. I'm originally from Small-Town, West Virginia, so moving here at 28 was a real eye opener. I'm always going to be a Mountain State girl at heart. Odd bit of trivia - did you know that Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL have the most rainfall on average of any cities in the US? Betcha thought it would be somewhere like Seattle, right? (http://www.livescience.com/environme...ny_cities.html) Of course at least here you can bank on the fact that in the summer it will rain everyday at 3pm for about 15 minutes. Then you steam for the rest of the day.
Diva - Our crime rate has gone up a lot since Hurricane Katrina. A lot of evacuees came here and decided to stay. Unfortunately Pensacola doesn't have the resources to handle the extra people. It's still a really safe town, but you just hear about more crime.
Have I mentioned how much I love Laughing Cow cheese? I lurve it bestest of all! I just did the math and I now know why the cow is laughing, I'm paying almost $10/pound of cheese. Stupid impulse purchase at Albertsons! Oh well, I managed to get a bag o'spinach for 99 cents, so I guess that almost makes up for the extra cheese cost. At Wallyworld it's only $6 per pound. Can you tell the pain meds have kicked in again?
Dee - one word: COSTCO! You can get a 3 month supply (with great pull date) for under 10$. Not sure what it comes out to per pound though. But it's like a 6 wheel pack.
Purple – I’m picturing you going down the slide. Wish I was a fly on that wall….er, tree?
Yeah, you could have laughed off a few pounds there, because when I got scared and sat up I was going down sideways, and at the end had trouble getting my feet around to get off! My kids about had a laughing fit, but it was okay since luckily we were the only ones there at that point.
I went on a walking field trip with my preschooler this morning, then packed lunches and took him to eat lunch with his big sister. Then we hit the grocery store, and now I am about to go pick up my daughter and probably head out to the park again. It's almost 80 here today, but I feel horrible in shorts. i wore them every other year and was much larger, but I am always self conscious at the beginning, because my thighs are so yucky and big just makes me stay OP even more, so I guess it's all good.

I have heard such good things about Laughing Cow, but it's $5.50 for one little round pack here! I keep telling myself it can't be THAT good...is it?
I have written complete text for a website, done my exercise, put sheets on bed and done a load of laundry, suffered through subtraction and a thank you note with Will. I still need to:
re-install the kids' carseats in the truck
pack for our trip to St. Louis
get all of our food for the weekend prepped
leave for circle in three hours
I just cannot make myself do any of these things> I want to crawl into bed with a book.

Well, its only 35 calories for a wedge of creamy smooth cheesiness. Yep, its worth it. Of course, at that price, I hide the stuff in the darkest recesses of the fridge where only Mama knows where to find it.

No, not really, IMO. You are basically paying more for someone to ration your portions for you. Also, when I have it, I want it on crackers, which totally negates the point of a low-cal snack.
Much easier and cheaper for me to get low-fat string cheese.
