ggmugsy-Oprah's been awesome the last two days. Lots to think about and change. I went to her website to get the vitamin recommendations. I'm going to give them all a try and see if I feel different after a month. Some of them I'm already taking but I'm really bad about remembering to take them daily. I need to get into a good routine.

Diva-Glad your safe. We are having high winds right now here in Va. Hope you feel better in the morning.

Morning team, I thought about crawling back into bed, but made myself stay up so I can get my exercise in for the day. I was op yesterday, but I'm thinking I need to lower my calories a lil bit. The last few days I been leaning toward the max I allow myself. Not to mention TOM decided to drop by. I'm hoping the combination of those two things are why I haven't dropped all the pounds I gained after Sunday. I usually weigh in on Fridays but I think I'll try and wait out TOM before I post this weeks weight. Anyways here's my menu for yesterday.

B-1 c allbran with 1 cup 1% milk
1 med banana

S-ww yogurt
1 ww string cheese

L-Turkey breast with 1 slice of bacon, light miracle whip, and 2 pieces of multigrain bread
1 cup of applesauce
S- 1 bag m&m's (OOPS! Damn TOM)
1 stick of beef jerky
S-1 slice of multigrain bread
1 veggie burger
1 packet of ketchup

Calories: 1570
Exercise: 30 minutes of cardio max
Water: 74oz
Diet Soda:0

Days on plan

Hey does anyone know if TBL has a yoga dvd out?

i've been sick the last 2 days, but stuck pretty good to plan... just no exercising... it's the stomach flu, so it has been hard to keep food down, etc

Good Morning Black Team. Sorry I disappeared yesterday afternoon but we got another 5" of snow in about 3 hours time so the boss decided to close the office early. The 7" we got last Friday had melted off so hopefully this will melt just as quickly.

Someone asked what HLW was. On Pure Weight Loss/LA Weight Loss they tell you that if you feel like you are retaining water to drink hot lemon water. 1/2 fresh lemon, peel and all, squeezed in 8 oz, hot water. I usually do a whole lemon in 16 oz. green tea because I can't gag it down otherwise. Just too sour!!! It usually works in 1 - 2 days to get the excess water off.

Anyway, hope everyone has a good day. I'll check in later. For real this time!!!

Morning Team!

Finally got back to the exercise routine last night and did 4 miles - it was hard getting started after taking a week off. It is much easier for me when I am in the every day habit. I feel better today though...nothing like getting all sweaty and gross to make you feel good!

Rainlips - Why is it that we want to eat stuff that is counterproductive to losing weight...grrrrr! I haven't tried them, but maybe keep some "sweet" treats on hand like those 100 calorie packs, or jello, or even some yummy fruit? Or, if you can limit yourself to 1 cookie that wouldn't be too bad. Around Christmas time there was so much junk around me it was driving me nuts. So I measured out 200 calories worth of M&M's and put them on the counter in a measuring cup. I allowed myself that treat for the day. It was a nice controlled amount, and once it was gone that was it, so I rationed it. And, I found that many days I did not eat it - I just liked knowing that if I wanted it, I could have it.

EXERCISE BUDDIES WANTED - hey guys, I was thinking that it is always more fun to workout with someone, even in cyberspace. Would anyone be interested in setting up a time, or a range of times, to workout each day? Just a thought!

Here are my stats for yesterday!

V-Day Challenge - Day 3

My Valentine Day Goals:
1) LOSE 4 POUNDS! (working on it!...lost 1 so far!)
2) Drink at the very least 64 oz. of water a day (check!)
3) Stay on my WW points (check! See menu below)
4) Do exactly as my trainer says! (check!)

Breakfast: (I have the same breakfast everyday... I LOVE it!)

Breakfast
3 egg whites/1 whole egg - 3
1 Kashi GOLEAN waffle- .5
1/2 Tsp. "Promise" Butter - .5
1/2 TBSP. syrup- 3

Lunch
A Chicken Philly sandwich from Charley's - 11 points
1/2 serving of FF - 7

Dinner
97% Lean burger patty with onions - 3
Sauteed mushrooms, zuccini, onion, garlic & squash (sauteed in EVOO) - 1

29/28 WW Points (I used one of my 35 "freebie" points for the week)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Diva - let me tell you again how glad I am about the V-day challenge. I've noticed I've become more aware of what I'm about to put in my mouth because of it! Also, I'm glad that you survived the storms. The weather just gets weirder and weirder every year. This past week we had one day that it was in the low 80s, the very next day it was in the 40's! It's just odd.

Ahill1979 - congrats on the 1.5 pound loss!!! I'm with you about losing so many ladies this week! It'll be interesting to see how many ladies we end the challenge with.

chiquita623 - still no grandbaby yet?? Keep us updated! It's okay to post a gain, I think we all do it at one point or another! Thanks for the tip on ridding yourself of water weight.

Getsmart - Hope you get to feeling better. Apparently the flu is going around here in Oklahoma. yay!

ggmugsy - I enjoy watching Dr. Oz. I've said it before but I believe that he is the only male doctor I'd feel comfortable going to and talking to in completely honesty about anything going on with me.

ceegee - great to have you back! So glad you enjoyed your cruise. And, it sounds like you did great with only gaining less than .5 a pound. I certainly think that it's okay to "treat" yourself once in a while. You've done so well so far, so it was great to have some freebie time. Welcome back!

michie - I had to drop a couple of classes this year. I'm kind of glad that I did. Life is hectic enough with just taking 3 classes, work, kids, marriage, exercise, etc.... As important as working out is, it's almost more important to make sure that you are getting plenty of sleep too. So, make that your first priority over exercise.

Everyone who is doing the V-Day challenge is doing SO well!!! Great job ladies!!!! We are one week away from the Love Day. Keep it up!!

Hey girlies! I'm so glad everyone is doing so well and enjoying our little challenge. Any ideas for the next one? hehe I'm feeling a lil' better but still not on top of my game. Do y'all feel depressed when you're sick? I know I am...Can't wait to shake this off. I hate being sick.

Anyways, I'll be back later to post my menu. Still no exercise because I am doing good to be able to breath at all, lol! Had to rub vicks on my chest last night...ew... I'll restart week 1 of the c25k on Monday and hopefully get back into the swing of things.

Soul bliss- I like that idea too, maybe doing a sort of points thing to see who can accumulate the most points (points for whole grains, veggies, wise choices, exercise..)

Diva- I think I am going to do the C25K with you, I tried it about a month ago, outside and it bugged my knees- now I have a gym membership so I think I may try it again- I'd love to be a runner.

Here are my V-day challenge stats:

Food
Breakfast: oatmeal, OJ
Snack: Kashi bar
Lunch: Pasta primavera, veggies, yogurt
Snack: Pretzles with mustard
Dinner: turkey, potatoes, veggies
Snack: WW dessert

Water 70 oz

Exercise 45 minutes EFX machine, 10 minutes streching, crushes on stability ball and Ab machines

I didnt get as much water in as I wanted, but I still got a ton in so I guess it's alright.
