Same here been missing in action for a few days again. I do plan on staying committed to the challenge even posted a weight gain last week and I will be posting weight again today for this week. I didn't lose anything but TOM has visited the last few days. Well seems like everyone else is doing a great job so just keep up the great work...I will check in later to try to catch up on the posts that I have missed the last couple of days.

Hope 4 me: I'm SO GLAD somebody in this group will be part of the Oprah class, too.

Tatiana: I know of two of us taking the class. You would be three! You're right about the waist measurement. I've put my DH on notice that I want a pic taken Sunday night. I'll take my waist measurement, too.

Didn't get my roots done. Went to lunch with a friend and then went out with friends and drank a ton of lite beer. Haven't done that in a while. I dipped into my flex points a LOT, but I'm still OP.

I was SO GLAD to read about people rededicating to the Black Team and not dropping out even if they have a gain. I think it would be awesome if we are the team that finishes with the most members.

Sending a big cyber-hug to all of you!!

well, here is my daily update:

breakfast--flaxseed bread, skinny cow cheese, egg
snack--pretzel thins
lunck--subway (turkey sub) and baked lays
snack--yogurt
dinner--WW meal, grapes, yogurt
snack--

water--50 oz so far

exercise--today is my off day

I weighed in today, i was down 3 pounds! I feel so much better after gaining that weight last week, I dont know why but I seem to lose three, then 1-2 and then gain up to a pound, it drives me nuts but I guess that is how my body is liking it.

hope everyone is having a good weekend, it sure is quiet around here today, I guess everyone is busy exercising

Having bad cramps today too.

menu:

Simple Harvest oatmeal-Maple & pecans
Milk

2 cheeseburgers & Chips

A Reeses peanut butter cup

Bad food day, What can I say TOM is here. I feel bad because out of all these day's I have only 3 good ones. i have NO idea how I have managed to lose anything. I haven't exercised, I haven't been drinking my water and I've indulged quite a bit. sigh.... Hopefully next week will be better and more on plan.

hey ladies. I just wanted to make a quick stop in. I have been OP the past 2 days, I just haven't had time to post here. I have 2 sick baby's. Well, a sick baby and a sick husband. So, I've spent the past 2 days playing nurse. It seems like we're on the upside of things now though. I called in for work today. I'm going to try to go in tomorrow, unless the baby's are still not doing well.

You all are doing AWESOME though!!!

To those who have lost this week-WAY TO GO!

For thos who have gained or stalled-DON'T GIVE UP! NEXT WEEK WILL BE BETTER!

ggmugsy-Thanks for the recipe! I'm always looking for new recipes to try so feel free to post any good ones you find.

Julz-Sorry to hear about your babies. My hubby just got to feeling better, and dd daughter has had a cold for two weeks off and on, they were both so nice to share with me.

Rainlips- wow your life seems pretty hectic right now...Hang in there it'll get better.

hopeforme,caitbeans,chickichickibangbang-You are all so right. Our weight is something we will struggle with for the rest of our lives. There's gonna be ups and downs and we have to accept that and know how to react when the scale goes up. I look at the challenge this way, it is a challenge to see who can lose the most weight, but it is also a time for me to learn as well. Learn about myself, about the struggles of others, and how to deal with food situations as they arise. I got some really good advice from a fellow calorie counter. I was commenting on how I've been stuck in the 180's since October. She complimented me on being able to maintain for that long, she said that I had learned enough not to regain, and when my body and mind were ready I would start losing again. So when I get frustruated about not losing I think about that comment and realize what I've accomplished rather than what I'm not.

OK, so the last few days haven't been the greatest. Thursday I didn't get all my water in (fell asleep at 7:30), Friday woke up feeling like crap sore throat whole nine yards not to mention TOM decided to visit earlier in the week, didn't exercise or drink my water, and went over on calories by 76. Yesterday still didn't get my water in and went over on calories by 200. SO TODAY IS A NEW DAY! This train is back on track! I weighed myself this morning and I'm up 2.5 lbs from last weeks weigh in I'm gonna wait to post until tommorrow in hopes that it'll drop after today. I haven't done much this weekend but sleep. Nothing too wild and crazy going on today, I've gotta get to the grocery store and do laundry but other than that who knows.

Everyone have a great day!

Days on plan

Oh I do have a question: I've been trying to incorporate more fish into my diet, does anyone have any good recipes for tilapia?

Dream, we got this recipe off cooks.com and we use Flounder or tilapia.

We don't make the sauce but I put it in case you wanted it. We usually melt Light country crock margarine to pour over them and sprinkle lemon pepper over the top and we use the light sodium saltines in the stuffin. It's delish. Sometimes we just spray the pan and the fish with the Olive Oil cooking spray and sprinkle the lemon pepper and bake them like that. We usually have this once a week.

BAKED STUFFED FLOUNDER/TILAPIA

2 lbs. flounder fillets (or 12 pieces)

STUFFING:

1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. butter
1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms, stems and pieces
7 1/2 oz. can crabmeat
1/4 c. saltine cracker crumbs
2 tbsp. snipped parsley
1/2 tsp. salt

In skillet, cook onion in butter until translucent. Drain mushrooms, saving liquid. Add mushrooms, crab, crumbs, parsley and salt to skillet. Mix. Lay flounder, skin side down; divide stuffing among fillets. Roll up. Place in baking dish, seam side down. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare sauce.

SAUCE:

3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. dry white wine
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
Paprika
Reserved mushroom liquid

Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour and salt. Add milk to mushroom liquid, add wine. Cook, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly. Add cheese. Pour over fillets. Bake 30 minutes. Check doneness and add paprika to top. If sauce is too thick, add tiny bit of milk and place n oven until heated through. Fish should flake easily. Serves 8.

Thanks Roni- I'll def have to try it! I checked out cooks.com and it looks like they've got a lot of good recipes. I was looking for a runza casserole recipe, I have a head of cabbage in the fridge that I need to use, but I bout fell off my chair when I say the fat grams one serving had 74g of fat and 700 calories, thats more fat than I eat in a day and almost all my calories!! Guess I gotta come up with a new game plan!

Just great....all this talk about TOM convinced mine to show up 3 days early. PERFECT...I was on pace for a couple of lbs loss, but I managed to stay the same. Yeesh....
What a week...I was able to get into the gym and get my resistance and cardio in as planned, my water consumption is going well, and my points are in control.
I have been participating in the US Presidential election process as it is understood here in Washington State.....I have nothing more to say.

Oh well, whatever is going to happen will happen....I did, and will continue to do, my part. And now I am going to go do laundry and get ready for the coming week.

Hi ladies,
just dropping in to say hello...it has been a few days, and I see that I have some reading to catch up on.
I have had a disasterous few days....hence, I have been avoiding my computer, and the scale!!. It started Thursday morning with warm tea biscuits for breakfast, and ended last night with pasta at Boston Pizza.....I am so disappointed in myself! At this point, I should be able to make better choices, and generally be smarter about what I am eating (and how much), but after these last couple of days, I feel like I am back at square one again.
Well, I might be using a FREEBIE tomorrow. I am going to get back on track tomorrow, and as much as I have been avoiding this...I am going to start writing down what I eat, and following the WW points book again.
Good luck to everyone weighing in...hope we don't loose as many members this week!
