Good Morning Black Team. Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days but it's been busy at work. Hopefully the boss will leave soon so I can get on this site. Congrats to everyone on their losses. I, personally, gained this week but decided not to take a freebie in case I need to take one when my grandson decides to make his entrance.
So sorry we have lost 9 people this week. But the rest of us can pick up the slack and kick some serious butt in this challenge. We are the black team - a team to be reckoned with!!!!!!!
I haven't posted my menus for the V-Day challenge so here goes:
2/4 - B: Carrots, cucumber slices and an orange
S: dried fruit
L: veggie burger, pineapple chunks, rf wheat thins
D: Chese soup
2/5: B: 2 choc chip cookies (oops - a little off plan)
L: yogurt, orange, carrots, cucumber slices, rf ranch dressing (1 T)
S: dried fruit
D: 5 oz. grilled chicken breast, 1/2 C bulgur with veggies, 1/2 C cottage cheese, 1/4 C applesauce
So far I've been OP except for the cookies. I should know better than to stop at the gas station on my way to work to get a caffeine free diet soda. That won't happen again!!! And I've been getting all my water in daily. I felt like I was bloated yesterday so I drank some HLW and am back down the 2# gain I posted on Monday. Keep your fingers crossed that I can keep on going in the downward direction!!!

I hope everyone's doing well this week. I've been kind of sick, so I haven't been able to exercise much. Hopefully this week will turn out better than last week.
Back on land finally! The cruise was awesome - I would highly recommend Sixthman's chartered concert cruises! Aside from the music, the food and drinks were, ummm, MUCH enjoyed! It didn't help either that my husband had a sinfully rich birthday cake delievered to our cabin as a surprise for me.
I gained less than a pound though, and I am pretty sure that will be gone by weigh in. I am looking forward to getting back into my exercise routine.

Hi Black team!
We got some of that storm last night...snow, freezing rain...and more to come during the day and into tonight....but schools remained open!! My kids were like "WHAT???" My dh had the day off though.
Very proud of myself...only 3 med. sized pancakes last night, no bacon, and very little syrup. Only got 45 min excercise in though....had to go shoe shopping with my little guy...he needed some velcro runners for school.
Doing well today so far:
Breakfast: fruit smoothie
snack: oatmeal and a peach
Lunch soup, sandwich and a diet coke
Dinner: tacos are on the menu, so I will have one and some salad
drinking lots of water today, and had a good workout this morning..while I was waiting for the call that school was cancelled!
By the way, how many team members have joined in the V-day challenge??
Great TBL last night....So happy for the Black team! Jackie was the obvious choice for those men, although she didn't seem to think so. If looks could kill, those brothers would be dead!

Hey everyone. Still feel pretty out of it but I wanted to post my menu and say Hello. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better. Maybe I can go get day 2 of the c25k done and then again on Friday. I don't think there's a law saying you can't do it 2 days in a row..is there?
Menu:
B- Cheerios Crunch & Milk
L- Roast beef Sandwich & Swiss
D- (Spaghetti) Multi grain PLUS AlA Omega-3 & meat sauce

Day 3: V-day Challenge
Today was a bit less successful than the past two days. I have a crazy class schedule that runs from 1 pm- 9:15pm with a one hour break around 5pm....so I ended up eating my dinner at 5pm and didn't plan for being hungry at 9:15....and hmm...well, I didn't go weight training (at the gym class time of 9:30pm) and instead watched a movie at a friends and ended up eating some cookies....
I think I need to eat more fiber at dinner time also....if I had had more brown rice, maybe I wouldn't have been so hungry later...
The good news is that I have already lost 2 lbs this week...
breakfast:
1/2 C 1% yogurt
raspberries
intl brand coffees, chai (1pnt)
lunch:
1/2 C brown rice
1 egg
1 tbs Melissas stir fry sauce (1 pnt)
cabbage, zuchinni, red pepper
snack:
apple
coffee with milk (3 pnts)
dinner:
2 tomatoes stuffed with 1/2 C brown rice and ff cheese
1 chicken breast
1/3 cucumber
1/2 red bell pepper
1 Tbs low fat mayo (1.5 pnts)
1 Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich (2pnts)
That is so wonderful. I am a survivor myself. I am glad we are both well!
I also do what I can to support such causes, usually by offering treatments, volunteering or the like. I did AIDS walk this year and will build up to other events soon. For now, I help in other ways.

SoulBliss, that sounds great, maybe when I get out there we can get together. From what I understand I wll get there the Friday before the race, the race is on Sunday and we fly back on Monday so I will have one day open. We can talk closer to the race.
We had 8-10 inches of snow last night, and they have already delayed school for tomorrow, after no school today, and the buses are only running on the hard surface roads so I have to find some way of getting my daughter to school, she might just get another day off.
I need to work harder on losing, the last week has been a bust, I gave in to a chocolate craving and need to get away from the sugar. I was sore a couple of days from my training, but kept going and feel good now, but will end up walking 3 days in a row now after being lazy today.
Everyone is eating so well, I do good for breakfast, just having oatmeal, it's the between the meal stuff and the eating out for meals, I need to go back to salad and a bowl of soup.
Ok I am getting a little upset with myself. I am haveing a hard time eating all the good stuff. All i want is cookies, candy......HAAAAA! I havent gained but I havent lost anything....ok I have to do a lot better!!!! I had grilled chicken over rice and 1 hole wheat roll. A banana, a panini and a couple cookies. bla...
I look at what I eat as it does not look like alot, but I dont get hungery. I wounder why? I am kinda All of you are sleeping and I am talking to myself...ok feeling bad. Lol. Thanks for leting me vent....Night to all
