Corrina I am not a vegetarian but....do you eat egg whites? there so low in calories and so much variety you can change them up. Also a friend of mine makes a cabbage lasagne with low fat Ricotta, some cottage cheese and low fat italian cheeses....stuff shredded veggies between the layers and your sauce. Not bad for a filling dish!

Good morning! Sorta bad eating day yesterday, but I tracked it. And not a good exercise day, either (funny how they go hand in hand). But honestly…good to see that things can be far (FAR!) less than perfect and I can still be burning off at least 500 calories more than I’m eating and it didn’t turn into Lizzie’s Last Meal. Whew! I’m good at dieting but I suck at damage control.

25 off by spring. (I need to keep saying this.)

Corinna – ooooh…Australia…so cool! (Are you tired of people saying that? I’m sure I’m not the first.) Good job of ending the attack of the M&M’s! Not vegetarian, but try to cook that way sometimes. Also, I make a lot of kale based recipes…and sometimes have a a lot of kate sautéed with a bit of olive oil and a lot of vinegar for dinner with a poached egg or too on top.

Renee – freezing rain is just BAD! At least ours was gone by noon. I snack on blueberries, red peppers. Oh, and I just budgeted in a glass of buttermilk for a snack ‘cause it feels so bad.

Rob – first…love your avatar. Next…looked at your profile and determined that you’re a guy. (Very nice having a guy in the mix!) Next…don’t take offense if I forget you’re here and say something like “good morning, ladies!” Just means I’m not awake. Not insulting your manliness. Are you all expecting more snow on Wednesday night? And maybe another Nor’easter this weekend? (I’m in denial about these things.)

Sharmenu – Yums to the homemade beef stew! Even though it’s not a good thing for your diet. And I love Adele, too. What a set of pipes on her!

Have a good day, all!

Good morning! Still in the middle of a massive atkins stall. I'm in ketosis, but not moving. Hi Lizzie, no worries! You're not insulting my manliness. lol Please don't tell me we're getting more snow! So much for a winter wonderland. Bring on summer! I'm a musician doing lots of home studio stuff, hence the avatar. Glad that you like it!

I hope everyone is doing well,

Rob

Checking in: no movement on the scale, when payday comes I am going to buy a good scale. I use the one at work and people have had complaints about it not working. Ha, I guess I can give one week up to the scale's fault. I didn't exercise last week, it could be the reason.

Good morning! Well, in my search for a sweet snack item I found some carmel rice cakes at the store and they really helped with my craving for something sweet. Only 50 calories each with a good crunch. I asked my husband to please not give me any candy for Valentines day as I would eat the whole box at one time. I seem to be addicted to chocolate

Happy Valentines Day! Going out to dinner tonight, so that might be a challenge. Most restaurants have more health friendly foods so I should be able to find something that won't ruin my week. Enjoy your day and stay focused

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the great ideas for food. I knew if I asked, you would help me figure out something different to eat, and to figure out what it is I am craving. So I have decided on some Kale lasagne and some Ratatouille. I am really excited about making those meals. I had my husband get the Ratatouille ingredients today, so that will be first meal I prepare.

My exercise program has been going pretty good. Although I have reached a plateau in my weight, I know eventually it will start to drop. I just need to be patient. Too much of a quick drop is only temporary. I want this weight loss to be more long lasting.

Happy Valentine's Day to all! Here is a beam of hot Australian summer sun to warm you winter day. ************************

I've never made the kale lasagna, but it sounds good. I have made it with spinach and it's yummy. What works best for me is portion control. Hope all is ok with Rob. Haven't seen him here for a few days.
