Corinna, it must be great zeroing in on your target! Keep your eyes on the prize! This 50+ group is amazing. Spring is coming soon, let's get this done.

Way to go, Renee3, resist those temptations. I added some atkins bars back into my diet, and I'm out of ketosis now. Not sure if it's related, but I'm backing off of these bars until I'm in maintenance mode.

I hope that everyone is doing well!

Default We do have an awesome little group going here for sure Rob

and together we will get to goal!! I bought egg whites yesterday and peico de gallo...its a chunky mix of tomatoes, cilantro, onion,jalepeno...that will make a low cal meal...heck I could even do that for a snack! I did 30 min on the treadmill last night and 20 the night before! Now heading for 45 minutes tonight!
Oh Corinna I hear ya bout the M&M's! Do you know someone brought me a box of Hershy Kisses for my office! ....and they know I am on a diet! Yup...the people who would sabotage ya if they could! HeHe...(they don't run on a treadmill 30 min a night)
Rob let's be thankful we are in the Northeast after all.....I have a friend who just went to New Zealand.....and last night they has a Zsunami scare!!!

Purged my cupboards of snacks yesterday. What artificial sweetener is the best? I'm thinking Stevia because it's from a plant.

Looking at 24 inches of snow in New England! I have to make sure that there's plenty of low carb edibles in the house, and some firewood. On the bright side, I'm back in ketosis today.

I hope everyone is well,

Rob

Sorry Renaee I am no help on the artificial sweetners. I don't use them. Haven't ever tried them except back when Sweet n Low was the only one you could get....and man that was sweet! YUCK!

5 lbs is fantastic! Great news, Sharemenu! For sweetners, I use splenda, and usually 1/2 a packet with a large coffee.

Hi everyone, and I hope everyone in the NE stocked up on healthy food, TP, and the like!

Renee: The best sweetener by far is Stevia...it's available in packets, liquid form and a powder. I have a mini liquid container in my purse and put a few drops in coffee or tea when I'm eating out. You can even cook with it to a point. The other types of artificial sugars are all bad for you. Here's a link explaining why.

Sharemenu, congrats on your loss! Are you walking or running on your treadmill every night? I'm just starting to run and am only at 5 minutes so far, but walk fast for the other 25 min. I'm on it. Don't really want to be a 'runner' because knee problems run in my family, and so far I've avoided them. Also it really helps to get rid of the unhealthy food in your cupboards!

Rob, keep up the good work!

I haven't lost much this week, but am hopeful to see a loss tomorrow. Just have to stay away from foods high in sodium.

Have a good day!

Andi

Default Well I worked hard to staff the weekend so I can

hibernate....still working on Sunday....here I am with my treadmill, my computer and my tv. I am so OCD. I have to establish a "game if you will".
So to get through the 45 minutes I turn the tv onto the music channels....I jog through one song....get off the TM....get on the puter....go to Words with friends....send off a word....get back on the TM....jog through another song.....send another word....jog....send....jog....send....lol! Can you picture it?!
It works though!
For me.
