Good morning ladies.

Donna, I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Dina, I sure hope all goes well at the doctor's.

We're finally going to hit 20oC today. It's going to feel like summer - and the sun is out. I'm just heading out for a jog in the park. I'm sure it will be beautiful.

Talk soon,

I hope I'm getting lighter. I haven't been able to exercise too vigorously this week because of my sore calf. I'm afraid all of my hard work is going to be for nothing and when I can jog again I'll have to put up with sore muscles all over again. Oh, well that's how it goes sometimes.

Good Morning . . .

Nothing much going on for me today . . . weather is still cold and the sun isn't even with us this morning. Got a bit of a standoff going between Queen Purrecious and my friend's toy poodle, Benji -- nothing nasty; the dog barks, the cat stares -- the other cats disappeared from sight as soon as the dog arrived.

Have a good day, everybody and I'll catch up to you later . . .

Good morning all,

Isabella, I sure hope your calf gets better soon. Don't worry, you won't go back to square one once you can jog again. Maybe just a slight setback. Is there something else you can do to keep up your cardio? That would definitely help.

Another beautiful day here. I think I'm going to tackle my garden. The weeds are taking over. I need to clear them up before planting. That should be in a couple of weeks.

Have a great day everyone.

My leg is not better but I've been riding my exercise bike as it uses different muscles or uses the same ones differently. I'm going to have to bike for about 2 hours to undo the brownies I ate today. But I didn't eat above my calories so I should be alright.

Good Morning . . . rainy and cold today . . . but I've got a lot of things to do and places to go since this is a long weekend and lots of stuff will be closed on Monday.

Hopefully, I'll get back her later.

Well, today I didn't get in any formal exercise at all. I was so busy putting the finishing touches on the food for mom's 91st birthday party that I didn't get in the exercise. I didn't eat enough food either but I was so busy I didn't stop to eat and now it's late and I'll let it go until tomorrow. Goodness knows I'll probably eat too much tomorrow with all the party food about. Anyway, I weigh in tomorrow. Hope the scale gives me a good (and honest) report.

Not feeling well today (if you look at my update in the Accountability thread, you'll probably be able to figure out why )

Hey this is a brand new day and the start of a long weekend for us -- so hopefully I'll feel better soon and keep my act together, too.

Later, gang . . .

I weighed in this morning and I've lost another 1.5 pounds. Yeah!!! And today I ate lots of food but only about 1700 calories which is way below what it could have been. Mom's birthday party was tonight and I must say I'm quite proud of myself because I ate well and actually only had a sliver of cake, one cookie and 1/2 cup ice cream. There were about a dozen different cookies I could have eaten besides white and chocolate cake. I filled half my dinner plate with salad before I served myself any other food and had a great celebration with mom and our friends. Tomorrow I'm going to give jogging another try. I hope my leg holds up.

Good Morning . . .

Tummy has settled down again, but weight is still up. I did have a good OP day yesterday and I'm planning a repeat today, so hopefully things will blip back down again soon.

Congratulations to you, Isabella -- both for the loss and for the great party control.

For some reason, I was up at 4 am this morning so hope to fit in a nap a bit later. Nothing too exciting in my plans anyway -- have to get a little vegetable shopping done and Super store has Sea Scallops on sale (today only) so think those will be dinner tonight . . . although I'll have to fight the cats for them as I'm eating; they try to follow the fork right into my mouth when I'm eating fresh seafood.

Hope everybody has a great moving and shaking day planned.

I'm so unmotivated to do anything today. As it's a holiday in Canada, my husband is home and of course the day feels wrong to me. I managed to change the bed and get dressed to exercise but nothing more has really happened. Need more sleep I think. Maybe, I stretch out on the couch and have a little nap and then exercise.

Hi gang . . .

Nothing is motivating me to great and glorious activities today. Overcast and cool again, although the sun did shine for a few minutes a little earlier this morning. Good day to clean house and do laundry, I guess.

Hope the rest of you find exciting things to do . . . see you later . . .

Hello everyone, I haven't been on in awhile, due to computer melt down. It's finally up and running again. Hopefully it will stay that way for awhile. Isn't it amazing how quickly we get used to these things?

I am at goal now for 6 months. I wish I could say it gets easier, but I have faced the fact that it's always going to be a struggle. A struggle that is totally worth it, but still......

Isabell, what holiday is it? Like you, if my husband is around it throws me totally off. I just can't get anything done with him home. What will retirement be like, I wonder? Congratulations on the weight loss and making good choices at the party. It's one day, one party at a time.

Denise, garden work is still exercise. You get a great work out. I am looking forward to doing some planting too. I love to garden. We already have some tomatoes out and I look forward to putting out some more things. Do you do vegetables or flowers?

Everyone have a good day. Freda

Victoria Day Weekend (in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday on the 24th) . . . probably better known as the May 2-4 weekend, so named in honour of getting a large case of 24 beers and heading to the cottage for the first time of the new summer season.
