I jogged my 4K/walk 1K, 14 minutes on bike and 30 counter push-ups and I'm tired. I gobbled down my dinner and now I'm sitting here watching Oprah and typing. My legs get really tired when I jog. I don't get out of breath but my legs just barely finish. I guess I just have to keep at it and my legs will strengthen with time. Weigh in day is getting close.

Hi gals, gosh I've been away so long I almost feel like a stranger here

My dear Mother-in-law passed away last month and I have been in a blue funk. She was a sweetheart and I miss her. My DH is doing good and I am getting better.

I had my annual dr. appointment that same week and that didn't go very well either. Glad April is over. Don't know what is going on but my total cholesterol went way up to 305. Both my doctor and myself freaked out.
My HDL is 91,my Triglycerides are 83, but my LDL is 197. My ratio is still good it was 3.4. Now how can it get so fouled up. Anyway she put me on medication right away. I'm kind of scared this time. I mean I have been losing weight, granted it has been slow, and I'm exercising everyday. Sure hope the meds help. Have to check it again in 3 months. I am being really careful about what I eat now.
I am down a lb from my tracker, but like to wait and see if I can keep it there before I change it.
I got all of my hanging baskets of flowers out on Sunday and on Tuesday we had bad storms so took them back in. Poor things are going to get dizzy if this keeps up. Today it has rained off and on all day and is supposed to be stormy tomorrow again. Hubby and I have been spending our weekends turkey hunting. So far we have only bagged one small bird. There are so many around here but they are really mixed up with our crazy weather this year. It has been cooler than usual and we have had snow and rain. Only have one more week to hunt before the season is over. Then it will be time to think about fishing.
I haven't had a chance to go back and read what I have missed so I will just say I hope everyone is doing well. I did see that Linda is off on a 4 day jaunt, hope you are having fun.

To all of you that are mother's I would like to wish you a

" HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !!! DONNA

Hi Donna, so sorry about you dear MIL. Mother's Day won't quite be the same this year without her.

I'm finished exercising for the week. Did my 45 minute circuit just before dinner (lunch) and I'm looking forward to a break tomorrow which is my weigh in day. The sun seems to want to shine today but we could use some rain. We haven't had any for over 3 weeks.

Hi everyone.

It's raining here today, and it's suppose to tomorrow too. Monday is suppose to be a good day tho.

I finally dropped another lb. It's close to the 100's now. (205)

Hope everyone has a great evening.

I just weighed in and I'm so happy. I lost 2 pounds this week. I never thought it would be two pounds. Now, if I can keep from celebrating with food. Ha, ha. No exercise today as this is my day off from that. It is also my treat day but I still want to keep within my food and calorie allowance (even with the cake).

Have a great "skinny" day everyone.

Good Morning . . . . . . I'm back.

It was a wonderful little mini-vacation but I'm very glad to be home to my own bed. Slept like the proverbial log last night. Of course, I'm also back to crappier weather -- Ontario was quite a bit warmer and is the greening-up ever ahead of ours. Oh well, I do have one lonely tulip and a few bits of yellow at the base of my forsythias and I think I see a couple of buds on the lilacs . . . spring will get here.

Amazingly enough, the scale showed me a lower number than he handed be four days ago in spite of my salt and carb debacle while away (good grief, my ankles are still swollen). Maybe he missed me and is trying to be nice. I think the cats also missed me, but who can really tell with cats. Everything seems pretty normal this morning.

Guess I'd better get myself moving and shaking around to a few more 3FC spots . . . Hope each of you has a great, great day . . . see you later.

Grrrrr....Another muscle spasm in my left calf. I went out to jog today and only got just over a kilometre done and my leg started to pain. I ignored it hoping it would go away but just before I got 1.5 kilometers done my leg let go and I had to drag it home behind me. So jogging and dragging I did 1.5k. When I got in I did 3 miles on my stationary bike to make up the difference and 30 counter push-ups. What a Mother's Day gift I've given myself!

Good Morning . . .

Rain has finally stopped. Weight and blood sugar levels have blipped back down to better places. Now, if we could just get a little sunshine and a bit of warmth today, things would be looking pretty good.

I had a lot of muscle cramps to get worked out over the past couple of days -- always happens when I travel, sort of the combination of cramped up in the plane, strange bed, more walking than normal. You know how it goes. My right calf is still feeling 'tight'.

Hope yours is feeling better today too ISABELLA.

Well, better get myself moving and shaking . . . see you later, gang . . .

Good day everyone or I should say good evenig. My leg feels a little better today and I was able to do my circuit workout without undue pain or strain. Hopefully, I'll be able to jog or walk tomorrow (what ever is less painful).

I had a dentist appointment for a cleaning and check-up this morning and I slept in and grabbed a bowl of oats on the run. That's left me with lots of food left over to eat today. I had dinner (lunch) and still have lots of food left to eat before bedtime. I usually have a light supper but tonight it may be heavier. (Which is not a bad thing, ha, ha.)

I have a hole in my tooth or in my filling-neither I or the hygienest could tell which. It feels as if a truck could drive through it but it is really quite small and I probably won't get it filled until next month when the dentist will be back in town. (I could go out of town to the main office but I'd have to get someone to stay with mom.) It's a pretty old filling so it's to be expected.

I'm going to make a huge smoothie with tofu and blueberries and other fruit, have some bread and peanut butter and another piece of fruit. If nothing else, I'll be peeing all evening. LOL.

Keep happy, keep active, keep young by keeping happy and active.

Okay . . . I'll bite, ISABELLA . . . what is it about that combination that causes the 'water-flushing-effect"?

Well . . . we have sunshine in Northern Nova Scotia this morning, but it is way too cold for being almost mid-May. Guess I'll try to be happy with the small mercies, though. At least the weight did another little downward 'blip' this am, but the blood sugar did an upward one -- the fact that I forgot to take my evening meds might have had something to do with it of course.

Nothing too exciting in my plans for today -- have to take my friend to the hospital for an intervenous bone-density treatment -- so we will probably do a bit of shopping while we are in the next-town-over anyway.

Other than that . . . SSDD . . . hope everybody else has some fun stuff on the go . . . see you all soon . . .

Nothing about that combination causes the "water-flushing" except it's full of juicy fruit and skim milk and juice so there's lots of liquid in the smoothie therefore what goes in must come out.

Hi everyone.

Donna, I'm sorry to hear about your MIL. I will pray for her loved ones.

Weight loss has been REAL slow. I have to get on the ball. I'm not eating big quantities, but I am eating junk...and quite a bit of it.

I went to the eye dr. yest. because I see a big black blotch when looking thru my right eye. He wants me to see a specialist, so I go tomorrow for that. I sure hope it's nothing too serious. I can still see thru it.

Beautiful day today. In the 60's and sunny.

Dina

Good Morning, Chicklets . . .

Got my for your appointment today, DINA.

ISABELLA . . . I agree that anything that gets the liquids into us definitely helps to get the liquids out of us, too.

Looks like another but cold day around here. Oh well, in another couple of months we will be sweating in the heat no doubt -- guess it will be one of those years where we just go from Winter to Summer withough passing Spring.

Have a great day, everybody . . . see you later . . .
