Whew! Is it hot where you are?

Deb, your son has really done well with weight loss. I know you are proud of him. Are you still eating squash?

Heather, I hope the pup does not have a return of cancer. Let us know what the vet says.

Carol miss reading your post. I hope all is well with you.

To all of our missing ladies, come back soon!

j-ann, you make me ashamed of myself for being so off and on about dieting. You have done more than well my friend, Fabo! as Rachel Ray says.

Have a great weekend! Ruth

Morning all - can't believe I haven't posted in so many days. I'm not 100% POP but have been making pretty good choices. Given the heat I'm truly not very interested in eating. Wish we could have got some of Deb's rain. Three more days of 100+ heat then it should break for the MLB All Star Game - BTW don't look for me in the stands.

Heather - how's the pup? Gracie had her check up yesterday and we've scheduled surgery on Aug. 10 to remove some lumps he doesn't like. Trying to stay positive.

Judy - great job pulling it back together. The water aerobics pool is closed for a month for resurfacing - I can really feel myself getting stiff without all the movement.

Hiya Ruth!!!

Stay strong!

Ruth- yes we are still eating squash. I do think I will only get a few more before the plants are done. I do still have lots of male blooms but not many females.

carol- We have big storms predicted for tomorrow when the cold front moves in.

meeting my birth sister this evening...first time to meet her ever

Carol -- I hate lumps on pups!! We're definitely trying to stay positive. Not much else to do until we know more...

I had another good eating day yesterday. A little high in calories, but writing everything down really helps. I'm trying to keep under 1800 calories and have been going over on a lot of days, but generally not more than 200 calories over Much better than giving up and eating 3000 calories (or more!). I'll keep trying to get the number under 1800.

Cool, not cold front coming thru now. We're getting light rain but it's coming down harder as the front approaches.

Heather: How's your old guy? Are they going to biopsy that lump?

Carol: Good for you. Keep up those great choices.

Deb: Hope your meeting with your sister goes well and that you'll have a new friend when it;s over.

Ruth, Thanks for the kind words.

Loot: I saved and got a scale by WW on either Ebay or Amazon. It worked well but I decided to put it away and just weigh in once a week at WW. Otherwise I obsess, so I haven't used it in a year.

Find time to take care of yourself. Nurturing your mind and spirit as well as your body is important for long-term success on and off the scale. From W.W.

Uhg... way too much sugar last night.. I got crazy hungry again and I can clearly see that once I start having sugar.. it makes me crave.. more and more. I am insatiable with Chocolate. Damm that Hershey's gift basket!!
Oh well.. back to the basics. It just have to let it not derail me... a couple of bad days in amongst many good days.
Keep cool everyone.. I hope to go swimming with two of my grandkids on Sunday as they are visiting this weekend.

Judy -- They took an aspirate which should tell us what it is. I don't think they can do a biopsy without removing the lump first, so an aspirate is much less invasive.

So much cooler today!!!!

My 2nd dog has a growth on his tail -- thought it was a tick -- so, I think we'll have that checked out tomorrow... *sigh* It's always something.

On the plus side, my eating continues to go well. This morning I was so busy outside I barely had a chance to eat.

judy- my visit with my sister was awesome. She reminds me so much of my other half sister. Its almost scary!! I really like her alot and her mom is precious! Cant wait to see her again.

heat wave is over for now here. We got a bit of rain last night and today Im going out to see what I can do to my plants in my yard, most appear dried up and dead.

I guess i will just empty pots and wait for mums to show up in the stores.

Ask me...if I exercised today!! I must start back today!!! I am up 40lbs from my lowest and I dont like it!!!!

Debbie -- Did you exercise yesterday???

Last nights dinner prepared by hubby was a lot of calories, so I was definitely over my limit, but I at least wrote it all down and will get back on track today.

Our heat broke, but NO rain. The perennials are starting to really suffer.

Debbie - did you exercise?

I think I need to pull most of my geraniums from pots - they look awful. I have a few perennials I put in this year that will be a loss too.

Food was good yesterday - YEAH!
