I will be picking hubby up at the airport tomorrow -- he's been out of the country for 2 1/2 weeks. We'll have a quiet day so easier to stay on plan.

Debbie -- I haven't got any "real" exercise in, no. Too hot outside, and I cancelled the gym membership. But I get up and do a lot of moving at least...

Trying to stay cool. Near 100 the next few days...

Pool felt great this morning but now my legs feel like over cooked noodles.

It looks like local fireworks will be postponed tonight. Heavy thunder boomers should arrive right before sunset. I'm planning a quiet day tomorrow. Weigh in will be Thurs. AM before water aerobics.

No fireworks in our area due to the drought. We also have a ban on them here in town, too bad people dont obey the rules. I just pray no ones house burns down due to someones bad judgement. Yes we got rain 3 days in a row but it doesnt put a dent in what we need.

Going to try and stay OP tomorrow. Breakfast out with hubby and I can control it. Lunch will be sandwiches at my daughters and I can just have a sandwich and skip the chips and cookies. Dinner will be something light on the way home and I already mentioned a salad when we get home to hubby. It would be nice to stay OP on a holiday!!!

Hi everyone.. and welcome gonna
it is 7:20am and I am up and dressed to go workout with my sister - before I go on an overnight getaway with my hubby to Niagara falls to see the US fireworks.
There will be eating out... but restrained and there will be walking and swimming to help even out the calories out and in. This was a gift from my husbands kids and comes with a bottle of wine & a Hersheys Chocolate romance basket - UH OH!
I might have to sample it... it will be tough for me to resist free chocolate!
I still do not have a scale at home, but if I weighed myself today it may help me resist as my regular weigh in is next Wed. and I want to see some results.
Any suggestions for getting a good home scale that won't break the bank?

Ugh it's hot!!! nuff said.

Lootlady -- I know what you mean about sampling chocolate, but often my sample leads to 5 portions. Sometimes I find it easier to just not start. Other times...

Yesterday was another day OP calorie wise. I need to shift to making better choices, but I'll take the consecutive days OP rather than all the binging I had been doing!!

Going to be about 100 here again (though that's the case much of the country it sounds like). Keep cool everyone!!

How's everyone dealing with the heat?? I just moved all my container tomato plants into the shade. They don't seem to like this much. The peppers as a whole are doing better, and most of the plants in the ground seem to be holding up. But we have 2 more days of potentially record breaking heat.

And I hope our electricity stays on!!

Food good. Accountability key!

Afternoon all!

Went to WW this morning. Missed last week. It was the 1st w/i i've missed since I started at the end of June last year. I just couldn't keep it together that week and allowed myself the miss. Not the best way to handle bad choices but I put myself back OP last week and managed to show a 1.2 Lb. loss. I'm a bit less than 3 lbs from a total of 75 lbs lost so I've set myself a goal to get there by the 18th. It is doable if I stay away from triggers. My points dropped today as well so I've got to make some changes there.

I love having a Wegmans near by. They have their own lite burger and hot dog rolls that are 1 pt. rather than 5+ points for regular ones. So tonight it's grilled veggies and a turkey burger for dinner. YUM!

For some reason water aerobics was easier than usual this morning. I think my body is finally getting used to moving for the better part of an hour w/o stopping.

We're having a lovely day here in central NYS today. I'm going to enjoy it. Tomorrow is forecasted to go to 97º and humid. YUCK!

Heather- I am sick of this extreme heat!! I went out today to check the garden and was sweating at 7am. At noon I sprayed roundup and it was so miserable. We have 4 more days above 100 and then a cool down to the mid 80s. I cant wait!!! That would be a perfect time to start back walking daily outside.

My garden is so wet now its hard to get in it. After months of no rain we have gotten about 3 inches in 4 days.

Yes, simply miserable here. Supposedly only one more day near 100. Hope that's the case.

Food was great today.

I'm worried about my old dog. He's been drooling all day. Tonight I found a lump on his back. I'm hoping it's a bug bite and not a return of cancer he had a year ago...

Debbie -- I think I'm going to take him to the vet, given his history... and the lump is in a place that I think would be harder for a bug to get too.
