Kenzide and Angelluv welcome!!

Linnakole i know how you feel. I personally dont tell anyone what i have lost so far. And if you do tell them that you want to keep it between the two of you since it is a personal matter. And hopefully she'll understand.

Everyone who has lost weight so far congratulations!

Official weekly weigh in: 151.8. I've been exactly 151 for FOUR DAYS, and then today on my official day it jumps up. Grrr... Oh well.

I'm only 2 lbs away from "normal," but I have a feeling that with Thanksgiving coming up, it's going to be at least three weeks before I see that kind of loss.

KenzideRhae: Yeah, I know I should talk to her if it bothers me. She DOES do it because she's proud of me - and she's too skinny to be living vicariously through me.

Lose25: I do think my weight loss is more of a personal thing for me than it is for others. When others I know have lost weight, they talk about it a LOT. I'm more with you on the keep-it-to-myself side. I just see it as more about me than anyone else...so, personal.

rainbowstripe, JennieLovesKisses, LiLLy19: Congrats, guys!

Hello all. Though I've lurked around 3FC for a while, its time for me to get serious and get rid of these last 20 pounds. After a successful and gradual journey from the 180s to a morning weigh-in of 154 as of today, I see the end in sight but have some serious work ahead of me. These last pounds are always a challenge, and as I stare into the mirror and practice my diet and exercise "game face" (which has particular vengeance these days as I am almost always hungry...hehe) I know the support of this site can help me along.
The plan: though I've made great strides in terms of eating choices (reformed uber-foodie obsessed with trying out the next hot restaurant in a city where every type of food is easily and deliciously accessible turned vegetarian who now rarely eats out and, though this has made great strides for my "goal clothing" budget has impacted my social life a bit) I recognize there are two formidable foes that stand in the way of my success:

Red Wine
Almond Butter

They. Must. Die.

And thus, for the near future, they do not exist in my life. I know, I know. Balance. All things in moderation. These adages do not work for me. Trader Joes Almond Butter with Sea Salt, my husband has recognized that I smile more when I think of you than when I think of him . And as a result, your disappearance will not only mark great strides in our marriage, but also great results for my waistline.
Red wine: I'm already less fun at dinner parties, as all I eat are leafy green side dishes and grains while my friends devour shortribs that would once have made my taste buds sing. So why not let you go as well? More for my friends and perhaps their added tipsiness will make them nostalgic for the days when I too overindulged

Cheers to willpower, long term goals and perseverance. I know we can do it!

TapasLover: Welcome to the thread!
As far as wine and almond butter and totally doing without them, that seems fine to me. Some people need moderation with their trigger foods, some people need abstinence from them. You've heard it a million times, but I'll say it again: do what works for you.

LiLLy It is weird, we are losing fairly similarly! Of course you're much closer to your goal than I am! So that is more awesome!

This morning: 71.3kg / 157.1 pounds.

I'm annoyed today because I had nothing I could pack for lunch so I'm stuck buying something and my options are ridiculously limited. I wish you could cook eggs in a microwave (I think you actually can but I don't know how, nor do I really trust the work microwave).

Rainbow- I cook eggs in the microwave ALL the time!

I sit at 149.0 after a big Thanksgiving meal yesterday. I am hoping that I don't jump up over the next couple of days (that's what happened last time!) I have multiple Thanksgiving meals ahead of me. Hopefully I'll be able to make it through without any gains! I will workout and probably only have that one huge meal as my only meal of the day. That approach has seemed to work ok for me.

My weightloss is slowing, although it was never fast, but the thought that it could be any slower is annoying lol!

rainbowstripe - Im actually thinking of shooting for 130-125 instead of my original goal. But for now Im going to keep it at 140 and re-evaluate when I get there.

LindsB - 149 AFTER a thanksgiving meal is fantastic!! )

Linds How do you do it? The microwave eggs I mean...what kind of bowl/dish do you need? And congrats again on the 149! ( I already said something along those lines in chat thread).

LiLLy Same here...I worry I won't make my goal, but then I also worry I'll make it and still be extra chubby hah!

Glad to say I'm seeing a smaller number yet again, 71kg / 156.5 pounds. Super happy, that's 2.2 pounds away from reaching my halfway to goal point!

TapasLover: You show that red wine and almond butter who's boss! Both are great when consumed in moderation, but I totally understand just wanting to get rid of those temptations so you don't have to deal with them. Welcome to the thread!

JennieLovesKisses: Slow or fast, at least it's still going. Good job!

LindsB: Aw man, I'm so glad I only have the one Thanksgiving meal on Thursday to worry about. Good luck! 149 is great

LiLLy19: 157.4 woohoo! And I'm thinking about doing the same with my goal-- getting to 140 and then seeing what I want to do from there. The closer I get, the more I want to lower the goal, but we'll have to see once I actually get there.

rainbowstripe: The halfway point is so exciting, good luck and hope you reach it soon!

Rainbow- I just use a glass or plastic dish (usually round) about the size of an english muffin. I spray it with cooking spray, crack one egg and whisk it, cook for 1 min. You could add milk, more eggs, veggies etc. It is really easy! I usually do it when I am making an egg sandwich--which is what I did this morning Hope this helps some!
