LindsB We're all rooting for you, don't despair!

LiLLy19 Woohoo 156s! Awesome

LiannaKole At least you'll know any little gains are because of the new routine, and not because of some weird outside force that likes to screw with you. And yeah, the avatar is me. Thank you!

rainbowstripe Keeping it real is always the way to go, for sure. Good luck with the weigh in on Thursday

Jelbb Wowza, good luck with your exams and assignments! TOM could be late because of stress or a change in diet/exercise, mine is like that sometimes even though it's normally fairly regular. But come on, TOM!

shasha12 I definitely feel more bloated and icky on nights I got no sleep, with or without the addition of sodium. Hope you feel less poufy soon! And congrats on the 147 the other day

Andejean Welcome! It's awesome to have you here

Lianna, that’s interesting... i think i’ll start measuring from here! it’ll be fun to see how much my waist shrinks, etc i def have some ‘goal’ jeans too tho. they used to not even do up, now i can squeeze in them with a muffin top lol

jelbb, try not to freak out on TOM, it’s prob nothing. maybe reacting to the junk food? and YAY for the drop today

lilly, idk on the drinks, all of vegas is pretty pricey lol... pic is posted in the photos sticky!

andejean, yay you for leaving those 160s behind!!!

kenzide, ya def... my sis is in med school, and she says water retention due to lack of sleep is something to do with your body not having time to repair. she explained it, but i wasn’t 100% listening LOL!

Lilly:
Yeah, the transformations are definitely my favourite part, it's so inspiring seeing the way people can better themselves!

Shasha:
Poofy days are the worst days! I always prep myself for a potentially poofy day by checking to see how tight my ring is on my fingers before I weigh myself.
Drink LOTSA water, and flush all that sodium AWAY!

Ande:
WELCOME!!!! And congrats on kicking the 160s' butt!!!

Kenz:
IT CAME! I took a test yesterday morning, it came back negative. Then very late that evening, it finally came. THANK GOD, TOM, DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT.

As for me:
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I belong here now!
I wasn't completely 100% perfect yesterday, but my very fit soccer-playing Irish boyfriend got all, "Let's go for a run out in the snow!" and I was like, "Alright...."
So I threw on yoga pants, a sweater, a scarf, mittens, and threw up my hood.
My not-used-to-Canadian-winter-yet boyfriend threw on shorts and a short-sleeved soccer jersey, and asked me how I was going to run in a sweater and pants. It took me ten minutes to convince him to wear a sweater, but ten more minutes into our run, he was regretting the shorts and praising the lord that I'd made him bring a sweater.

Anyhow. He pushed me until I was basically dying, but I didn't stop. He kept looking around at the snow and going, "This is so beautiful..." to which I would reply with pants and grunts of assent. I felt completely sick by the end of the jog, the cold air was constricting my lungs so it was really hard to get decent breaths. He asked me if I wanted to stop once or twice, and I shook my head and insisted I could power through, and I thought about the Biggest Loser and what a wimp I was for not being able to jog for 25 minutes when these people were pushed constantly to vomitting point... was very proud of myself for finishing.

Anyhow. This morning... 159.6

back to 147.6. I would love to get a new low at some point!!!!!!

I am semi-freaking out because I have like 3-4 meals out between now and Monday! I really hope this doesn't throw me off. I am just going to try to eat very little at these things by eating before or after. A lot of these places I am going to you can hardly find anything that's remotely healthy or low calorie! AHHHH!!!

Jelbb TOM was clearly just being a butt! I think sometimes it does that just so you appreciate it coming for once haha. TOMs totally have minds and feelings like a person XD But yay for it coming!

LindsB I have more meals out and parties and such in the next couple of weeks as well. I usually eat less at other meals to make up for it, or eat 100 or so less on other days during the week and hoard the calories haha, so that the weekly average is still about the same. It's hard when you're looking at more than just calories (I try to look at sodium as well as carb/protein/fat ratio), but I usually just look at the calories for those meals out, since I don't want to stress myself too much.

Shasha12 and LindsB - wanted to give a shout out that the ladies in the 150s thread are GORGEOUS )) Wooohooo

LindsB - Im sure the new low is right around the corner! Great job

jelbb YAAAAAAAYYYY!!!! that was quick!! and so awesome!!! congrats on being firmly in the 150s and holy crap, look at u running on a snowy winter day! great job running, and high five your honey for the encouragement! how cute that he understands the support you need!

linds & kenzide ugh, holiday parties/meals out! it’s so, SO hard to stay OP when your daily norm gets thrown off like that. when going out, i try to get big salads with no dressing/on side. you both have great ideas on how to counter-balance the splurges though, esp eating lower cals on the days leading up to splurge day to hard some cals for your meal LOL! love that idea, i think it’s one i might have to try...

Lilly gotta love vacations on the company’s dine haha! and thanks for the shout out! YAY for a new job!!! and an intense workout, the possibility of new friends, plus a wedding!!! life is shaping up nicely for ya... what a great day you’re having. congrats lady!

i am doing a week-long decathalon at the gym, and one of yesterday’s events was dips... I did 54!!!! omg it was so cool! weight-assisted dips, but still but unfortunately, i finished my calories at 7pm, and when my honey came home from work around 11, he brought brisket, potato salad, and brownies with him. Usually no prob to say no to, but i was hungry and tired and feeling like i didn’t care. soo, cals for yesterday rounded out at about 1800. oops! maybe i’ll use kenzide’s idea and limit myself to 1200 cals today to avg myself at 1500 for both days... hmmmmmmm....

have a great day, ladies!

hello all, i've been mia for over a month on this board. i'm still trying to lose weight, the lowest i've seen on my scale has been 145, but i keep bouncing between 145-147. hoping to get it below 145 before christmas and keep it below for new years. then in jan i am going to be very strick and maybe go back to doing the mrc diet for a month to get to the 130s. i still don't know what my ultimate goal is. all i know is that i wear a size 6 (sometimes 4-thank you vanity sizing) and small tops, BUT i feel huge. i still have a muffin top that i can't get rid of. hoping it will be gone with the next 10-15 lbs, but it's very frustrating!!! anyone else have tips for getting rid of the dreaded muffin top haha? would so much rather have my problem areas me butt and thighs.

shasha12 The calorie hoarding works best for me if I keep a high fiber intake on the lower calorie days. I typically get 25-35 g of fiber on normal days, so I make sure to keep that norm on the low calorie days, meaning I end up eating more fiber-packed, low-calorie foods when I'm choosing to eat a little less. That way I don't feel like I'm starving myself just so I can eat out at the end of the week haha.

LiLLy19 Congrats on the job! It's always exciting to find one after searching for so long, good luck with it! And yay for your workout

skinnyby25 Hey there, welcome back All I can say about the muffin top is that as you lose all over, it should eventually kick into gear and start shrinking as well. Some body areas just shrink slower than others, or don't shrink until very last. You can do ab workouts to build up the muscles and get more toned, but there's really no way to do spot treatment when it comes to fat loss.

Hey ladies, everyone is doing so great!! Running the intense cold, new jobs, making it through all the holiday season parties and dinners - I am proud of you all!!

It's Thursday here, which means I am back at my boyfriend's and weighed this morning - 68.3kg!! That is 150.5 pounds!! Wooooo!!

I didn't exercise this morning, I have work in half an hour...got some "other" exercise if you ladies know what I mean haha..and it's about time too, it's been a few weeks!!

Not looking forward to working til 8pm, but I'm taking more food than I usually would and will have a light snack when I get home as well.

good morning ladies! weighed in today at 144.6!! woo hoo, hoping i stay under 145 from now on. i hate the bouncing up and down. i usually weigh myself everyday, but i've really been pushing myself with weight training and when i am sore i can be up about 3lbs. hate seeing that. i'm going to stick to weighing on mondays and thursdays-that way i am keeping myself in check over the weekend.

rainbow- congrats on the loss, you will be in the 140s in no time.

whats everyone's plan for tackling christmas? i think i need a plan or i might lose control, one thing is for sure is that i don't want to end up with a horrible stomach ache. i want to try and work out in the morning, eat good for breakfast and lunch. have small portions of the good stuff at dinner and a small plate of dessert.
