PROGRESS REPORT

Starting weight (7/5/2009):              212.8

Last week’s weight (9/20/2009):      191.6

This week’s weight (9/27/2009):     189.8

This week’s weight loss / gain:        loss 1.8 pounds

Total weight loss:                             23.0 pounds

I’m in the 180s: Yay for me!!

I realize since its 189.8, it barely qualifies, but I’ll take it!!

So, finally the scale moved!  September has been a slow month, so I’m glad I can see some progress finally.

I have added incentive to kick things up a notch in October, which is a vacation in mid-month.  The husband and I are notorious for scheduling (and cancelling) vacations at the last possible minute so we’ll see if it happens.

In any case, I’m planning for it and want to get as fit as I can.  Given that I only have a couple of weeks to prepare, I don’t have too high of expectations.  Here’s my plan….

  1. Drink lots of water
  2. Go back on my DanActive probiotics
  3. Add minutes to walking plan (working toward 40 minutes a day)
  4. Do resistance or pilates work out in evening at least 2-3 times a week
  5. Drink Green Monsters often
  6. Keep calories under 1550 (instead of 1650)

My personal reward for progress will be a “detox” day at the spa )where they wrap you up and you sweat out about 5 pounds of water weight) the day before we leave.

PROGRESS REPORT

This week’s weight (9/20/2009):       191.6

This week’s weight loss / gain:          loss 0.4 pounds

Total weight loss:                               21.2 pounds

The scale is super slow lately, but I know I’m totally to blame.  If you have seen my food diary from the last several days you’ll agree.  :-)  Having said that, I’m super grateful that I’m still losing weight and maintaining instead of gaining.

Moving Day

I am moving my blog to wordpress, click here. You’ll see that I’ve already been blogging there for about 2 weeks, so there’s plenty of photos and posts. I hope you pay me a visit and continue to support me as you have in the past.  I will continue to visit you also!  I love my 3fc community!

My 3fc blogging name was SuzeeeQ, but my real name is Tamara Lea.  SuzeeeQ is a nickname from my mom when I was a child.  She mostly used it when I was in trouble. My real name (first & middle) is Tamara Lea.  Last name has to stay secret.

I’m making the change for a few reasons.  One is, I’ve had such a great experience on 3fc blogs that I wanted to open it up to a wider audience. I also want to invite my family and friends to follow my progress.

As a side note, there will be no specific weight updates on the new blog.  Even though I regularly revealed my weight on 3fc, I am not ready to reveal my weight publicly to those I know personally.  So instead, I’ll post them weekly here.

Am I Missing? / Progress Report 9/13/2009

Sorry I have not posted in a while.  I have been working on setting up another blog that will eventually replace this one.  I’ll pass around the URL once its ready.  But, in the meantime I’m really struggling with the darn thing.  The wordpress interface for 3FC users is much simpler than the standard one for some reason, so I’m having a tough time with photos and stuff.  Anyway, I’ll keep you all informed!

Progress Report 9/6/2009

This week I had what I like to call the post-menstrual WOOSH, which is when you lose all the water weight from having your TOM!

Starting weight (7/5/2009):               212.8

Last week’s weight (8/30/2009):       197.0

This week’s weight (9/6/2009):         192.6

This week’s weight loss / gain:         loss 4.4 pounds

Total weight loss:                              20.2 pounds (!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Food Diary: Thursday, Friday and Saturday

I haven’t been posting as much lately.  I am not sure if its better for me to post more often or if that time is better spent on things like menu planning.  So I’m trying this (less frequent) for a while to see how it goes.

3 days of food diary entries below (with pictures!)…..

Thursday:

  • Breakfast: Whole Grain toast with Earth Balance
  • Morning Snack:  Amy’s Tofu Scramble Pocket* (makes a filling, hearty, healthy snack at only 180 calories!)
  • Lunch:  Amy’s Enchiladas*
  • Snacks:  mini sweet peppers*, chamomile tea with honey
  • Dinner:  Starbucks Egg Salad Sandwich on multigrain bread* (great portable dinner for school)

Friday:

I am a big fan of probiotics, and I used to drink a DanActive Immunity yogurt smoothie every day.  I stopped drinking them for a while because I wanted to cut down on my dairy intake.  I tried Good Belly probiotic drinks but they are way too sweet for me.  There is another nondairy brand I want to try, but in the meantime I decided to go back to the DanActive brand because I could really tell my allergies were worse.  Plus I can’t afford to catch Swine Flu or any other flu for that matter!

  • Breakfast:  Whole grain toast with earth balance, DanActive yogurt smoothie
  • Lunch:  Amy’s Tamale Verde Black Bean*
  • Snacks: 2 dried fruit strips, handful of chocolate raisins, Red Mango fro-yo with dark chocolate sprinkles and graham cracker crumbs (so good and super natural and healthy)
  • Dinner: 4 peices of bread with butter, a handful of french fries, a few bites of tomato with vinaigrette, a couple of bites of the husband’s hamburger

I feel like I need to explain that dinner.  We went to the theater to see Wicked last night, and we went to a weird restaurant near the theater.  The entrees were priced way too high, so I just mooched bites off of everyone else’s plates.  Which was by design, of course, so they didn’t mind.  Normally I would never do that!

Yesterday’s lunch (tamales) was soooo good!!  Didn’t eat the peppers pictured here.

Friday’s total calories (estimated):  2143

Saturday:

  • Breakfast:  2 peices toast with earth balance, DanActive*
  • Lunch: plate of tomatoes with dried basil and salt*
  • Snacks:  vanilla yogurt* with granola, grapes, apple blackberry sauce*
  • Dinner:  Black Bean and Espresso Chili with Tofutti Sour Cream* non-dairy substitute

Today’s breakfast is my old standard (toast, danactive, espresso)

Yogurt - this brand isn’t my favorite.  Even with the granola I added it wasn’t sweet enough.  Tasted just like plain yogurt.

Apple Blackberry Sauce - a bit tart, will probably need to use these up in green monster smoothies

Plate of tomatoes sprinkled with salt and basil - an old fave!

Black Bean and Espresso Chili

Tofutti Sour Cream Substitute - delish!  Give it a try!

Tuesday & Wednesday

Today 9/2/2009

  • Breakfast:  Green Monster (spinach, chia seeds, almond milk, frozen banana, protein powder, strawberry tofu, alfalfa sprouts - 292 calories!)
  • Lunch:  Amy’s Enchiladas
  • Snacks:  mini sweet peppers, wheat crackers
  • Dinner:  Sushi rolls

Tuesday:

  • Breakfast:  Morning O’s with oat milk
  • Lunch:  veggie sandwich @ catered work lunch (super delicious and high cal) and a few peices of candy
  • Snacks:  small peice pizza, shrimp cocktail, grapes, couple peices of candy
  • Dinner:  bowl of mighty bite cereal with oat milk

Progress Report 8/30/2009

Because of all the birthday stuff I forgot to post my progress report for Sunday.  Sorry its late!

Starting weight (7/5/2009):               212.8

Last week’s weight (8/23/2009):       195.4

This week’s weight (8/30/2009):       197.0

This week’s weight loss / gain:          gain 1.6 pounds :-(

Total weight loss:                               15.8 pounds

This week’s gain was a major disappointment, but I know it was in part due to my period and also due to the big birthday meal.  Hopefully the scale will make up for it next weekend!
