Getting Better

I’m getting back to normal but my husband is now sick.  So we’ve just kinda been hibernating at home the last couple of days.  I think we needed the rest anyway, especially him, because he’s been working like crazy.  Even when we were on vacation he was working every day.

Other than that not much to report.  When we got back the backyard looked like a disaster.  The grass that was under the new soil that we put down came out and the grass grew to about 15 inches.  It looked horrible.  We mowed it and noticed that there are a lot of patches where the grass did not grow.. so we reseeded them and we will see what happens.  My zucchini, tomato, and green bean seeds didn’t really do so well.. see the timer that we had set for the backyard sprinkler didn’t end up working so the grass and plants didn’t get watered every day as they were supposed to be, and of course the week you go away, it doesn’t rain.  Looks like I’m going to have to replant my seeds for the third time this season, or just give up and buy the plants.  And I know for sure the seeds are not bad because I gave some to my sister in law and hers are coming out.  It’s a good thing I gave my hydrangea plant that I got for Mother’s Day to her to take care of while we were gone so that it wouldn’t die.

As for weight loss.. nothing really new to report.  I haven’t exercised since we’ve been back and the weight loss that I’ve been seeing on the scale is temporary and the weight will probably be up in the next couple of days.

UPDATE:  All this talk about the garden and not exercising made me decide to mow the front lawn. That gives me half a star for exercise and a star for food today… it’s about time I got back into this!
