A New Day
Okay so I’m feeling much much better than yesterday and the day before so I’m taking a fresh start approach to this.. positive attitudes only welcome here.. no poor mes or anything like that. I’m going to be thankful for so so many things in my life.
1. My husband.. XxOxOoXX.. enough said
2. My girls.. more Xs and Os and some hearts!
3. I’m home with the girls.. I don’t have to work all day and miss them and come home to feed, bathe and put them to sleep. I get to play with them. I get to read to them. I get to teach them. I get to tickle them all day if that is what I want to do. I get to watch them as they learn each and every new skill that they develop.. like watching Yumna draw a cat for the first time, or enjoy Safiya’s cute little singing voice.
4. My Family. My parents and sister.. despite the previous posts, they are still a part of my life and I love them. Also my extended family, my aunts, uncles, cousins, and more cousins and more cousins, my nephew and my niece and all the others of relatives.
5. This weight loss journey. Enjoying each and every pound lost and its impact on me physically, mentally and spiritually. Watching my efforts turn into real results. Meeting all the great and wonderful ladies who have helped me along the way from this site. That my husband joined me in this journey.. and that our total combined weight loss is at a staggering 70lbs.
6. Good Health. I’m thankful I am healthy and can exercise and eat well. I am thankful that there have yet to be any serious impacts from the weight I put on. Not everyone is so lucky.
7. Living in Canada. I love living here. I have access to amazing health care, social services, education, etc. This is the best place in the world to live. I would want to live no where else but in this cold but gorgeous country.
8. Wealth. I’m not wealthy by Canadian or American standards, but by worldly standards we are. We live in a simple home, and are simple people. But we have a lot. We have lots of food and good shelter, and we can afford simple pleasures, like throwing our kids birthday parties, going out to eat once a week, and going to a movie once in awhile. We have a lot to be thankful for.
9. My Friends. I am so lucky. I have some of the best friends in the world. They don’t live close and I don’t talk to them daily, but I love them with my whole heart and miss them immensely.
So many other things but I’m going to stop there. I have decided that with the weight I’ve lost I will also shed the negativity away too. This is not just about dropping the pounds, this is about dropping the things that stop me from being truely happy.

That’s the spirit
Remember that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent- so don’t let anyone rain on your parade
I agree with beerab! The people who have power over the way we feel only have that power because we give it to them. Sounds like you’re on the right track!
And I agree about having the support with the weight loss… I don’t think I could be doing this without you guys. *teary hug* LOL
Thanks ladies! And seriously it’s so nice to have you guys here for the journey.. it wouldn’t be as fun without you.. I would of stopped at 15lbs.. once my pants started fitting again.
