How about mashed cauliflower? Cook garlic and shallots and then add to the mashed steamed veg. Though everyone loves green beans don't they?

Have a good meal!

well, I am planning on making green beans with caramelized shallots and sauted mushrooms. YUM! Kind of a more classy version of the green bean casserole.

Or how about some roasted butternut squash? cube it and roast it until it shows some brown.

I had a very hard time using any of my links today to comment. These problems with this site are getting old real fast!

Laura, your soup sounds fun! My new favorite way to make soup is in the pressure cooker. BUT... a person misses the hours of delicious aroma throughout the house. The taste results the same.

Congrats on the loss! You gotta love it when you don't track and STILL lose. :D Success!

I have an excellent and easy recipe for Yam Souffle for your veggie side dish (or you could google it too)! I was introduced to it about 3 years ago at a family Thanksgiving. There is brown sugar, milk, vanilla, eggs and butter in it. Otherwise I was thinking that a corn souffle would be good for a side veggie dish too. I guess I like souffles because they are easy, beautiful, filling and delicious! Hah!

How is the zipper project going? Have you made it to the next step yet? :)

So, were you at the Lands End store and able to try on the boots and shoes or did you order them online? Green sounds like a fun color, but I would know what to wear with them. I wish I didn't have a high arch; it would make shopping for shoes and boots much easier. ...boring black is classic. They are never really THAT boring, as they continue making shoes in that color. lol

I always like mittens better than gloves bc your fingers keep each other warm. The ipod/iphone issue is one for me too - apparently there are a few brands that sell some with a little touch area that works still - but that will have to wait for another year, I'm not buying new ones this year just for that!
