I’m going to try to blog this weekend as well to help keep me accountable :)

I watched “The Watchmen” last night and honestly I thought it was overdone- too much of the storyline was dedicated to the characters and not the actually plot of the movie! They probably could have cut out a lot- my husband reminded me that netflix sent the directors cut and I’m like how much could that have added from the original?! Not an hour I’d assume. Probably 20-30 minutes. I thought to myself I’m not working out for this?! lol. But oh well.

Hubby is working this weekend so he won’t be home till 3 pm today so I’m being a nice wife and getting as many chores done so that when he gets home he can relax and we can spend time together :) And wouldn’t you know it?! It’s raining! It rained last night and during the night- and this morning it’s all wet out there. The weather predicts MORE rain today *sigh* so we’ll see if we get out bike riding- maybe tomorrow I guess?

Anyways, last night hubby made dinner so of course it was CHILI DOGS! WOO! lol. Well not woo. I had one with extra chili on the side (I love chili) and I forgot how much fiber is in beans! Of course my sodium shot through the roof but it’s okay. Damn chili lol. I think the hot dog my hubby bought also is high sodium. And to think back in the day I used to eat THREE of these hot dogs at a time! *cringe* It was hard to eat one but I did it- and for a “treat” I ate that fiber one cereal again- I really like it and the funny thing is the only time I eat raisins is when it’s in cereal lol.

I’m off to get some cleaning done- the dishwasher is already going and now the rest of the dirty house is going to get cleaned up :)

TGIF

Yesterday I caught a bunch of TOP CHEF episodes and when the rerurn of the new season came up I went and worked out for just over an hour. Little over half an hour run and half hour doing weights. This morning my back is sore and somehow my abs are a little sore lol. BUt it’s all good. I invited hubby to come workout with me in our “gym” you know I run on the treadmill while he does weights than we switch but nope he was too absorbed in his computer. Whatever it’s his loss. I’m already mad at him because we haven’t gone bike riding yet but he PROMISES this weekend we’ll go. I was like I’m going with or without you…

Last night for a snack I wanted to eat some fiber so I had a cup of my fiber one cereal with half a cup of milk. It was good and brought me over to 31 grams of fiber for the day woo hoo! I won’t lie I was also hungry after the workout so I figured this would be an okay post workout snack.

Today I have to spend most of the day calibrating pipets…

We use them at work to deliver small amounts of reagents to our samples and so on, twice a year I have to test all of them to make sure they are delivering the proper amounts- if they are not they are taken away for service. :) And there’s your science lesson of the day ;)

I’ll be leaving work early because I’m picking up some evidence tape (WOO HOO GOING HOME EARLY). I’m also going to the post office during my lunch to send off another package to my mother and dinner tonight is probably going to be chili dogs because I don’t feel like cooking anything else. Honestly I’m craving El Pollo Loco again so I might just grab a salad today for lunch. Hubby is working this weekend so I’ll be getting up, having some breakfast, and working out in the morning (I want to do at least an hour). Then getting the house cleaned up and laundry done so that when he gets home we can spend time together. :) Saturday and Sunday when he gets home I’d LIKE to go over to the beach and bike ride so we’ll see how that turns out :) I’m hoping to get two hours of activity each day this weekend :)

Thursday

Yesterday was a pretty good day. Eating was good even though I didn’t hit my fiber goals- I didn’t want my cauliflower snack even though I had enough calories leftover. I think cuz last night hubby and I went out for pho which fills me up. We haven’t gone in a few weeks and he wanted to go out for dinner so I was like well I’ll go there cuz it’s healthier than most places. Though I don’t know if I didn’t really hit the fiber goal since I put a lot of fresh basil and the stuff is full of fresh mint and bean sprouts (I think that’s what they are called) and all sorts of greens. I picked a pho on sparkpeople that seemed about right for the calorie content and fat content. I went slightly high on my sodium but I’m not really concerned since it’s only 300 mg higher than normal (but again not 100% sure about the counts from yesterday since I picked these from online menus).

I didn’t work out yesterday- hubby and I were just spending some quality time together (no get your mind out of the gutter - I would have counted that as exercise! lol) and I just didn’t want to break away for even half an hour. But no worries today will be filled with at least a one hour workout :) We used to argue about me being online so much (I know how funny a MAN complaining that his wife ignores him for the computer…) but lately I just go on maybe half an hour to an hour- then spend the rest of the time with him, the babies, working out, etc. I like it better than being on the computer- much to the disapointment of my online friends… lol. I feel bad but I barely speak to them now more than 1-2 hours a week but oh well, I can’t live my life for others.

I slept like a ROCK last night- literally I don’t even think I moved- I didn’t even finish watching Ghost Hunters last night! Which is one of my favorite shows! I feel asleep during the second investigation and then woke up at 6 am thinking DAMN! lol ;) So definitely sleeping better is one of those things to add to my list of why exercise is good :D

Today’s going to be a busy day at work, meetings, moving some equipment to the new area now that the construction guys are done, and then the other little things here and there. I get in this morning and there is a message from AFTER four pm from someone asking for kits to be put on the run. I’m like uh I hope you mean NEXT week’s run cuz the Wednesday run goes out in the MORNINGS. I swear sometimes I get Tuesday afternoons a run request and I’m like NO, run requests must be submitted NO LATER than Monday afternoon…

I still wanted to eat…

Linda ty for the link for the tortillas :) Unfortunately according to their site there aren’t any stores within 40 miles of where I live that sell them :( I tried almost every product and nothing :( I know the brand at my store has a huge selection of tortillas I’ll check those out :)

Came in this morning and ANOTHER girl in my office (there are 4 of us in one large office area) is SICK. GAH! *holds up fingers in the sign of a cross* BACK YOU EVIL DEMONS! The first sick girl barely even has a voice!

Yesterday got home and actually on the way home got a call from another client asking if I can take care of something for him today- I said sure no problem so went over to his office and took care of what he needed and made a quick $80 :) Got home around 6:30, made dinner, relaxed and paid attention to my babies (who were pissed off mommie got home so late), then just did half an hour on the treadmill. Showered and was in bed by 9:30 pm.

It’s funny though cuz even after my dinner at 7 pm (which was freaking good) I wanted to eat! I had my planned snack at 8 and yet I still wanted to eat. At 8:30 I STILL wanted to eat and was like NO YOU ARE NOT HUNGRY! That’s when I got up and did half an hour on my treadmill (I’m proud to say I’m running at a faster pace) and showered, but after my shower I STILL wanted to eat! I was like OMG what is wrong with me!! I even went so far as to walk over to the kitchen and open the pantry (I found out I have popcorn lol) and then I closed it again and was like it’s past 9 pm- NO WAY!

I went to bed, read for a little while, then went to sleep.

Yay me. I was mad that I had the munchies, but then I’m glad I recognized it and told myself that it’s NOT going to happen. Screw you stomach! Don’t lie to my brain and try to say you are hungry- WE KNOW you are lying!! lol.

Course I’m starving this morning so off to eat my high fiber english muffin! That thing is amazing it kept me fuller longer than normal! I usually lunch at 11:30 but yesterday not until 12:00 and even then I wasn’t feeling hungry but I ate my lunch anyways :)

Yesterday was okay- still feeling funny and found out one of the girls in our office (and I mean 2 cubicles away from me) is sick- dammit that means I will get sick. She did this to me last time- she was sick so I got sick. I’m feeling crappy right now and last night I went to bed at 8:30! I’m actually thinking I might be leaving work early today that’s how tired I’m feeling. I feel my body is fighting something… Definitely going to have an orange with lunch today!

Oh and I didn’t go bike riding because one of my clients who has ignored me for a month calls me yesterday asking about the site progress. I’m like are you kidding me? I sent you a list of items a MONTH ago to send to me- you have not sent ONE item. You wanted the writing to be in a specific font which you have NOT given me, you wanted your pictures on the site which AGAIN you have not given me. You have given me no text, and so on. Then he wants to have a meeting cuz he doesn’t know who to give the stuff to- I’m like HELLO ME! I said there is no point of a meeting is if you haven’t given me anything since our last meeting… Nothing has changed… So I spend an hour or so dealing with him telling him, just get me the stuff, what are you waiting for? There is no need for a meeting until AFTER you give me everything and I send you the completed project, we can meet THEN to discuss changes. *sigh* By the time I got off the phone it was dark and I didn’t want to ride at night so just did a quick half hour on the treadmill, showered, and went to bed. I slept from probably like 9:30 pm to 6 am and I’m still feeling like I could sleep a few hours.

I’m eating those orowheat double fiber english muffins right now- pretty good. I’m trying to slowly up my fiber here and there and this alone is 8 grams! Yay :) Yesterday I got in 24, just 1 gram under my Sparkpeople’s recommended intake- so here’s to hitting 25 today :) Dinner tonight is pork chops and corn (I know I’ve been eating a lot of corn lately but the market keeps bringing in fresh corn for like 50 cents! It’s SOOOO GOOD!

A number I’m okay with considering my system is totally out of wack, I ate something this weekend that totally didn’t agree with me (not sure what but I have my suspicions) and now I’m just like BLAH. I’m also sore from the bowflex exercises (but a good sore) so I’m sure I’m retaining some water- who knows, but it’s okay, that’s what happens sometimes.

This weekend hubby and I decided to upgrade our walks to bike riding :D We went and got some bikes are walmart, got a bike rack so we can check out some trails in the area (we don’t want to bike in high traffic areas), got helmets, and so on. $400 freaking dollars later (I didn’t realize all this stuff is so expensive) we have everything except for some adapter bar since our bikes don’t fit properly on the bike rack. I’m hoping to go riding today (I swear if hubby makes some excuse to not go I’m gonna beat him with his bike then go alone lol) after dinner. Not sure exactly when it starts getting dark, but I figure a half hour bike ride, then half an hour on the treadmill and maybe some time on the bowflex will be good for today :)

Hubby is making dinner tonight, cordon bleu’s and a baked potato lol. I’m like I might have some veggies on the side as well, but hey when hubby cooks I do NOT look a gift horse in the mouth!!

Now I’m off to run to the bathroom again (UG my tummy!). Have a great day ladies :)

I just really want to thank each and every one of you all for your support- I know I couldn’t do it without your patience, love, and encouragement *tear* I know on my own I would have given up again, without you guys and 3fc I would never have really grasped the concept of slow and steady weight loss and patience and probably been over 235 pounds today and even less healthier than before :(

I’m proud of myself for working hard on my eating and YES even exercise! Though Friday I didn’t do the greatest on calories cuz hubby and I went out I DID work out half an hour- Saturday (today) I have exercised half an hour today (hubby and I went on a short walk but a brisk one) and I’m about to go on the treadmill for ONE HOUR BABY! You guys will laugh your butts off at me but I FINALLY put that exercise rug underneath my treadmill (and it took me forever by the time I was done I was sweating) and it’s so much nicer to run on my treadmill! What a difference! My sister is coming home soon and then 30DS will BE ON BABY! Rain, shine, tidal wave, WHATEVER I WILL DO IT!

Sorry blogging so late- I had to take care of some stuff at work and hopefully today I am leaving early!

Last night I didn’t work out- my husband popped in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and I will say I did like it. It was very sweet and if you are looking for a movie with a “point” this isn’t really it. If you like stories about a person’s life then this is a good one :) I mean sure it had some life lessons and one quote I liked was: We’re meant to lose the people we love. How else are we supposed to know how important they are?

I mean I’d hope you realize how important someone is before they die- but I thought it was a beautiful saying anyways- the movie is full of them.

Anyways this isn’t a movie review! Like I said, he pops it in right after dinner and from 6:30 to 9:15 I watched it- NO I didn’t realize how long it was.

By the time it was done I was already sleepy so I was like oh well today is a rest day. But today I will get in a good workout and planning on upping the workouts over the weekend :D Thank goodness I have no plans!

Yesterday I also had some aggravating and upsetting issues come up when I got home so I um, well, I sort of ATE some of my feelings- I ate a doughnut :( I know I know- I have to stop that! Hubby brought home half a dozen doughnuts and I was angry and upset and before I knew it there was a doughnut gone. I wanted to throw it up I was so aggravated but I’m not that kind of person- I know how much damage that can cause. So I said okay- gonna just finish up the rest of the food I made yesterday for dinner (there was about half a serving of the meat part and one serving of couscous left (hubby really liked this dish lol). I am proud that I didn’t binge more- the old me would have had a lot more doughnuts than that and a huge dinner!

I’m so glad it’s Friday- work has been so BORING for me lately. I’ve applied to another job in the county as a criminalist and I’m hoping I get it! I’m sure I won’t know for a while but here’s to hoping :)

Oh and if those doughnuts are still there when I get home (there were 3 left after hubby ate two) I’m throwing them out!

Honestly I don’t think the fat is right cuz I use like 90%+ lean ground beef and 24 grams of fat per serving of my recipe just seems high to me… I used the sparkpeople calorie tracker so it might be off but oh well, like I said before this is an estimate and not what’s 100% correct.

If it’s not water, it’s food

That’s one of the things I learned reading my book (Conquer your food addiction). And it’s so true- we often take a bite of this and that (specially when we cook) and then don’t log them. *raises hand* guilty! I’m trying to not do this anymore. It’s hard when I’m at work and one of my office mates PURPOSELY buys bags of chocolate (yes she says she DOES this purposely for us to “enjoy”) to eat. I don’t even walk over to that area of the office space we share so I won’t be tempted. It sucks though cuz I LOVE chocolate but I am happy with my willpower :)

Dinner last night was awesome. I took two large zucchini, cut it up and then boiled them till they were nice and soft (10 minutes). While that was cooking I browned one pound of lean ground beef in a pan. I combined the two in a pot and then put in a small can of tomato sauce, two squares chicken bouillion, and a dash of curry. Let that simmer and mesh together while I cooked some couscous also (YUM). For dinner I had couscous plus a large serving of my food. The whole meal together was just over 550 calories if I figured the recipe correctly! SO YUMMY I have leftovers for lunch today WOO HOO! I took a picture but I guess my camera isn’t that good…

Yesterday’s lunch was my El Pollo Salad with salsa minus dressing with 2 drumsticks again- I LOVE this meal! I forgot I was out of lean cuisines so didn’t take anything for lunch to work. 2.5 hours later I had one of my nectarines YUM! I’m loving all this fruit that’s been at the market lately :) I spend maybe $15 a week on all sorts of stuff that I take to work. It’s funny while most people at work have candy bars and bagels and stuff on their desk, I have nectarines, plums, prunes, applesauce, and all sorts of other good for you stuff :) Makes me proud how much healthier I eat than I used to.

Exercise:
I started working out, and after 15 minutes I started feeling crappy, I kept going and only did half an hour of the crappiest workout on the treadmill ever, no bowflex. I was so exhausted I showered and was in bed at 9 again. I’m not sure what all this tiredness is but if I am still feeling this way over the next few days I’ll be seeing my doctor. Even being alseep by 9:30 and waking up at 6:30 (yes I woke up late) I was STILL tired when I got up!

Sleepy

Last night hubby was sick so I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. His tossing and turning and sleeping at weird angles kept waking me up. Today’s one of those days where you need coffee lol.

Didn’t work out last night- was just too tired- I know it’s not an excuse but I will work out today- I mean I got home, I was too dead to make dinner so we went to soup plantation. I got a small salad, some clam chowder, and half a brownie for dessert (yum). I am very sure I didn’t go over my calories because I’d only eaten like 700 calories by the time dinner came around so I had 850 more for the day. I tried to log in my sparkpeople the best I could but I’m sure it’s slightly off. Oh well calories aren’t ever 100% on, you can’t really know how many calories is in that orange you ate or that lean cuisine, it’s all an estimate! I also was in bed by 9 if that’s any indication of how tired I was…

Hubby is kind of annoying me- he called in sick this morning and I’m like DO NOT just sit your butt on the computer all day… You can take this time to call that place you applied at a MONTH ago and ask if they have openings, then you can also look for some more work and it’d be GREAT if you did the dishes in the sink… I don’t think that’s asking for too much… So we’ll see if today turns into an epic battle or not tonight… I’m frankly very tired of being the only one who is looking to get a better job, make more money, etc. He’ll apply for ONE job then sit on it for two months- I’m like uhh you might want to apply for MORE than one… *sigh* I’ve held my tongue for a while but frankly I’m started to get really mad. I know he likes his current job and is comfortable there- but it doesn’t pay much. I make more than him and my pay isn’t that good! I’m getting a raise next month and I’m STILL not satisfied lol ;) I do realize yes it’s hard to get work, but he graduated OVER a year ago and he probably has applied for three jobs in that time… He’d probably have a great job by now if he would apply himself better.

My brother is also bothering me (I think this is partly why I’m annoyed with hubby). He’s graduated from high school, he’s going to be 18 in four months and he’s done NOTHING. All summer he just partied with his friends, didn’t work, didn’t save any money, nothing. Then he’s enrolled in TWO classes at our Local Community college which I won’t lie I was surprised. So then I ask him if he’s going to look for work he says “No I want to concentrate on school…” Are you f-ing kidding me?! You are at community college not Harvard! Now he’s saying he wants to come home because he doesn’t want to live with my dad anymore. I told him too bad he should have thought of that before he ran away from home TWICE in one day. I love him, don’t get me wrong, but he’s a selfish child and I’m not his mother. He then proceeds to tell me I’m abandoning him and that I have to take care of him and so on. I tell him grow up, no one is going to take care of him anymore and he made his bed so now he can lie in it. He then emails my mom and my mom being the mother she is talks to me about it and I’m like mom NO. You email him and he never responds to you and NOW that he wants something he’s emailing you… What does that say? He can’t take 5 minutes to email his mother when she emails him but NOW he’s emailing her? RIGHT. I told her no way he’s not coming home and that’s final- she said okay. It’s time my brother learned life isn’t fair and that he has to take care of himself. Living with my father hasn’t taught him much- he hasn’t gone “hm. I don’t really like this situation, what can IIII do to take myself out of it?” Instead he goes “I don’t like it here, whose gonna take care of me now?” *scream*

ANYWAYS- enough with that drama- I’m sure he’s pissed as hell with me cuz his little boy spoiled mentality doesn’t think HE needs to do anything- oh well HIS problem.

Dinner: Soup Plantation Clam Chowder, Soup Plantation Grilled Cheese Focaccia, 2 tbsp Fat Free Ranch, Spinach 2 cups, 1/2 Soup Plantation brownie muffin

Sodium, Na: 2841

Fiber was a little low and sodium was a little high, but not too bad considering I did eat out. Today will be better :) I’ve learned it’s really hard to keep sodium down!
