Matthew 5:11
'Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.'

Ken could hardly wait to get back to school. Peter had ridden him about his weight the entire year before. When Ken had vowed to lose weight over the summer, Pete had laughed at him. 'Fat boy, you can't keep away from food. You'll be back, big as a beach ball. Don't kid yourself!' Ken could hardly wait to make Pete eat those words. He had spent the entire summer as a Christian youth counselor at camp. The people there were so supportive of what he was trying to do. They had made it possible. Not only had they helped him lose weight, but they helped him show Peter just how wrong he could be!

Default Exercise. It’s not about having time. It’s about making time.

Yangzter-I walk outside with my dog in the snow. It may be in the woods or on a on a country road. He is a great motivator (rain, snow, sunshine). Oh, and that pizza was ready made but very good.

Diana: Thanks again and again for starting a new thread. ...Me, too...I am up a tad last month from the holidays...
SineRose: I did not realize that you are from AK! So far north. I enjoy some of the reality shows/travel shows filmed up there...I used to watch this show called Northern Exposure...Very amusing...
Yangtzer: I am doing some walking and some swimming.
Hi CieCie and Nancy!

Exercise is okay. I have a cold, so I have been away from the pool for a couple of days. Diet could be better.

I saw 2 coyotes wander through the backyard in the afternoon this week. There must be a lot of other critters around...

Have a good week!

I binged again last night, but it was my rest day. So it was OK.

I intentionally ate more yesterday because I knew I wouldn't be perfect entering the maintenance phase.

I normally would get very anxious with a single day off the track. Sometimes, I gave up the whole thing with one misstep.

I guess I need to get mentally prepared that it's part of the journey and it's OK as long as I get back on track.

Nancy, Shrink..How are you doing?

Teri.. Be well soon! Wow, coyotes, do you have a fenced backyard?

Ciecie..Do you have a favorite brand frozen entrees? I like "Healthy Choice" simply steamers.

Diana..Happy walking! I always want to try elephant ear. Does it taste like funnel cake? My favorite fair food is Blooming Onion. Yummy but fatty, LOL.

SinaRose…Wow, what’s your dog's name and breed? What a great companion.

Hi Everyone!

Yangtzer Funnel cake is fried cake batter where as an elephant ear is fried dough. I like butter, cinnamon, & sugar. DH likes cherries. I saw the Bloomin onions! Lean Cuisine used to have a meal called Chicken a'la orange. I loved it! Unfortunately the one I like they no longer make. I think they might have something similar but not the same.

Teri I hope you feel better from the cold soon. I have something weird going on like maybe allergies. I don't think I have a cold.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Steps from yesterday: 11,240

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.

November 6

Mark 10:49-50
And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, 'Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.' And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

Kate was so thankful. God had truly blessed her. She had been on the verge of collapse, and the doctor told her that her weight had to go. Reluctantly, she had started to diet, not expecting any great results. She prayed for God to help her, because she felt so weak. When the doctor gave he a clean bill of health, she closed her eyes and prayed. God is God of the impossible. When we say 'can't,' He says 'can.' Faith is believing that God can, and will, help us when we are in need. God cares for His children, and for that we should be eternally grateful.

Today's thought: I'd rather be grateful than have another plateful!
