Job 1:21
'. . .Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.'

Stella was extremely frustrated. She had worked so hard to lose weight. She had done a great job, but now it was even harder to keep it off. She felt she was doing a good job of eating the right foods in small quantities, but when she'd step on the scales, she would find her weight creeping up. She always thought that once she got her weight down, everything would be easy. Boy, was that false! Weight-watching was a full-time job! Stella used to pray for God to keep her in line, but now the prayers were needed all the time. It just went to prove that nothing could be taken for granted. Good things don't come easy, but they're still worth having.

Today's thought: Lord, give me strength, but take my weight problem!

Good evening! My appointment with my retina doctor went very well. I don't have to see him until next November. I was very busy when I got home. I had lunch. Just got home from power walking and running errands. Will go for a power walk and run errands in a few minutes.😃

WO: 10K steps

Went to the grand opening of the largest mall in town. A lot of fun

FOOD:

Day:1000 calories

Night snack: 1200 calories

I was doing fine during the day, had lunch at one the best Vegan restaurants in town.
However, before bed I was bored and felt I didn't have enough food during the day (need to make it up?).
Then I started snacking unconsciously mostly cookies and nuts.

Nancy, Teri..Waving Hello

Ciecie..Glad your eyes are fine! Do you use your eyes a lot, like reading?

Diana..Happy Walking! Do you have a mild winter this year in SC?

SinaRose…Happy Shoveling 4 hours? How many inches? That’s a lot of calories burnt, LOL.

Imagine yourself six months from now.

You only fail when you stop trying.

Good Morning, Everyone!

We are suppose to be getting some tropical activity today and tomorrow. Not sure about getting a walk in. I will be working on cleaning the house. That will be part of my exercise. Maybe I can get to the gym. Not sure if it will close since it is a senior center and part of the city operations.

SinaRose Thank you for that post!

Luke 19:40
And he answered and said unto them, 'I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.'

Preston could hardly contain his excitement as the plane approached its landing. He hadn't seen his sister in over a year. At their last meeting he had weighed about 260 pounds. Now, he was a trim 180. He couldn't wait to see her face. He never remembered being so anxious to see anyone before in his life. It was important to him to please his family, and he knew nothing would please his sister more than to see him looking so good. God give us such experiences to make our sacrifices worthwhile. We can be thankful that God motivates us in such loving ways. With His blessed help, we can't keep from succeeding.

Today's thought: I want others to see me like they've never seen me before!

Matthew 13:44
'Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.'

Kris would give anything to be thin again. She was willing to diet, she was willing to exercise, she was willing to try anything. Following a number of traumatic experiences in her life, she had let herself go, but now she regretted it with all her heart. Earnestly she began to pray to God. Within a few weeks, her dieting was beginning to pay off. Delighted with the results, she doubled her efforts, with her doctor's permission, and devoted herself to her diet, body, mind, and soul. For the first time in years, she found herself happy and content. The joy she found was a blessed gift from God.

Today's thought: I'm looking for little victories to keep me dieting!

Hang in there Yangtzer and Diana. We can do this. Make each day count.

Happy Veteran’s Day!
