Vaccines are being given for people in my age group, but all the appointments are filled up... I want to go back to the gym. But I will wait...
CieCie: Hope you are happy with your improved eyesight.
Jen: My boy cat cries sometimes. He has been to the vet and his blood work was fine. I give him hairball meds occasionally. I am going to try a different cat food.
I biked/wt. lifted last night. Diet okay except for 2 caramel chocolates and a small sundae. I have to be vigilant with another "foodie" in the house. I am still eating chicken and veggies and ramen. This time I added some quinoa and brown rice. And I opened a bottle of Gen. Tso's. I need to be careful to use only small amounts. It is loaded with calories. I really like having the chicken/veggies/ramen around when I get hungry...although it is boring compared to fast food.
Larry, praying for you this morning as I know you will be having your procedure. Am glad your test was negative. Give us a report on how things are when you are up to it after your pacemaker is replaced.
I took in 1740 calories yesterday; ate lunch out. Had a veggie Jimmy John sandwich; so good. I did five minutes on the treadmill going slowly. My hip doesn't tolerate that so well, but I wanted to get some stretching and movement in. Will try to get some recumbent biking in later this afternoon.
Larry Praying for you with the procedure tomorrow.
Last night: Basic stretches, yesterday's step total 6,499
This morning: Oxycise
Calories for yesterday: 1470 +
Weigh In: 194

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.
Still trying, no giving up!

Psalm 57:3
He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
There are going to be days when we feel we just can't do it. Everywhere we turn, there is another temptation, another chance to blow it. Occasionally, we might even give in, but that is no reason to give up. Part of being human means we won't succeed every time we try something. That's okay. When we find ourselves in situations where we give in, that is when we need to call on God, asking for forgiveness, strength, and determination. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth, and we will be able to pick up from where we left off and do even better the next time.
Today's thought: Losing one battle doesn't mean I've lost the war!
I just did my 40 minute biking with a little wt. lifting. Diet not so great. I am fine with my own food, but I have a problem with the food other people bring into the house... I happen to believe in personal responsibility, so I know I have to figure this out for myself.
I watched Tolkien today, a film about the author of The Hobbit and the Ring Trilogy. I like it because it gives you some ideas how his personal life influenced his writings.
Larry, praying for you this morning about your pacemaker replacement. I had it wrong and thought it was yesterday. I re-read your post so now know it is today. Let us know how it goes, my rooster friend!
Teri, I know what you mean by how everyone else's food can seem more appealing than one's own. "The grass is greener......?"
Well, I was hungry yesterday (or maybe just craving). I took in 1905 calories which included nuts with a generous portion of ice cream plus more cheese than I needed. Not very focused yesterday. Did not exercise. Will try anew for more focus.

Job 11:14-15
If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear.
A vegetarian friend of mine went to a party and was handed a plate filled with wonderful appetizers. He selected one, took a bite, and then-to everyone's surprise-he threw the remainder across the room with all his might. He stood with a stunned and bewildered look on his face. The appetizer had been filled with meat, and his immediate reaction was to throw it as far away as possible. I think of that whenever I am tempted to grab something to eat that I shouldn't have. In my mind, I have to throw it far away, acting like it is something terrible, so I won't give in to the temptation.
Today's thought: I will put far away anything that tempts me this day!
I just got back from the hospital with a sore shoulder and a brand new pacemaker. I was surprised that I was put totally to sleep with general anesthesia instead of a sedative as used in my pervious pacemaker surgeries.
Good afternoon! Larry, so happy your pacemaker replacement went well. Just got home from power walking and running errands. Will fold laundry in a few minutes. 🥶🍾😁❤️
