Good evening to all
Well tonight for dinner I am eating ww chicken with roasted corn salad (roasted chicken, roasted corn, black beans, green onion, tomato, green bell pepper, anaheim pepper, cilantro and lime juice)....1 pt....but you know I had to spice it up a bit since it was on the bland side. I added red pepper flakes, cumin, smoked paprika and s&p. So much better and a tad spicy. I hope to see at least a small drop tomorrow or Wednesday.

Teri000 I missed your post this am! And I see the planting season has started again so yeah!
Emily that is exciting news about the house and we will be here whenever you find the time.
Ciecie, what ya doing???? walkin????
Larry, flower, Jules and all that I oops and did not mean to miss

Sorry I have been so bad at communicating. Mother was released from hospital last Tuesday. Went into big physical crisis on Friday. My brother got her to the hosp where she has been in ICU since. I will not go into detail. But it has been very scary for her and me as well. the doctor today said she is doing much better and is planning to move her out of ICU on Wednesday. I have been in survival mode due to lifelong extreme anxiety. (sometimes people say "just be positive", There could not be more hurtful words than those for many who experience anxiety) She was heavily sedated for 60 hours in ICU, When they brought her out of sedation she was delirious. Saying things that triggered anxiety more than I can say. So it has been beyond harrowing. My friend tole me that most people in ICU experience that. Its a thing. Especially when they have been sedated for so long. I am working to keep only positive thoughts. But sometimes that was moment to moment at best. Hope this was not TMI. Tomorrow is another day. I am doing my level best to hold only positive thoughts that it will be a better day for her. Poor sweetheart.
I was able to go back 2 pages here to respond. I am sorry I missed a lot.

Diana I admire that you prayed and looked deeply into your patterns of eating. So right about treating the body, oneself in any way that we would not treat other people. Its odd how too many of us think its of utmost importance to take care of and love other people. But we do not extend the same love and care to ourselves. Too many women do not even know how to do that. But it is vitally important, imo. You did an amazing job at the restaurant. Saying no to offers for tastes of food from DH. Getting back to the disciplined plan. I am impressed.

Nancy L. I too would have spiced up the WW chicken. Glad it tasted good

Ciecie Your workout plan always is inspirational

Jen I am sorry you have such a rough time with TOM. thats a lot of blood lost. I used to know about an iron supplement that was not hard on the stomach. And was very absorptive. I will try to remember what it is. Just googled. Its floradix. I first heard about it from the manager of the supplement dept of the health food store. Hope you soon feel less drained and much better

Emily CONGRATS on the new house. How exciting!!

Jules Sorry to read that you are having struggles with staying on plan. I can relate. Been there many times over the decades. You got this though. you have us. I like your new plan. Together we can help support you until you get back on steady ground with the new plan

Teri what's a food mover? Is there a food moving van involved? You are doing seedlings? How promising to read since I live in northern Vermont. yes, spring is coming.

Kelijpa I hear ya re the " inner battle with FatGirl wanting to take back controI" I remember how much you enjoy walking outdoors. I admire that about you. I bet when spring comes you will be out walking again. The true healthy woman winning out again!!! I know you will prevail.

Granny N OMG you got it exactly when you described the breasts. I have that too. But I am grateful they are healthy. that's all that is important. I too found haines bras that I love. They are very comfortable. And they have soft foam contour so I do not look like I have 2 ski slopes when I am wearing knit tops. Unlike you, I do not wear bra at home. I figure how much more hanging can happen. I think they are at max hanging capacity I hope you are able to get more sleep tonight. I like what you wrote about the importance of factoring self care into the equation of life. Caring for others without tending to the self is like exhaling without inhaling. Its simply not sustainable or healthy. (the inhale exhale thing is not mine. I stole it )

Zallie congrats on staying on plan. The weight loss is AMAZING

Rachel reading your sig. reminded me that I need to drink water Congrats for staying on plan for the week. Average 1214. I like how you average it out through the week. That sounds like a great idea.

Weekend I am thinking of you. Hoping you are doing well

Momwannabe. I am sorry you are struggling with feeling so tired. Being a single mom is not an easy job to be sure. I have a friend who is visiting S.Africa. She is sending me all these beautiful pictures. Lions and tigers, giraffes. Beautiful flowers such as protiea. (SP?) She even went to a fairy sort of place. I loved seeing the ocean and all the beauty I am glad you had some good rain.

Everyone I missed I could only go back 2 pages to read. My eye is a bit irritated.
The food thing has been a bit challenging. I have been comfort eating. Today I ate mostly carbs.
coffee 280 trader joe's is again out of coconut creamer. So I am using dried creamer
chocolate balls 250
Bamba 480
Chicken 180
lettuce with sesame oil 100
1290
I may be over estimating calories with some of these things.

I hope everyone has a good Tuesday. May we all be blessed with love, health and peace.

Default Good morning

Granny, we have a wonderful cat fence which keeps my furbabes safe! One of the best investments I've ever made. We bought it online from Purrfect Fence. Just goggle that to find out more. I would highly recommend it for the peace of mind it gives plus keeps the cats safe. There are options for a free-standing fence, which I have, or for adding to an existing fence. I was able to put most of it up myself. Hubby helped with the rest.

JulesMarion, thanks for sharing what you did. I want to share with you a strategy which I started in January and has been working very well. In order to do my treadmill consistently (5-6 times a week), I started a plan: I'm reading the Bible through on a year-long plan. I read the day's scheduled verses while I'm on the treadmill. I read it, then pray. By the time I'm done, I've gotten a decent workout in! Has been miraculous!

Emily, exciting about the house!!

Flower, Thanks for sharing with us about what's been going on . Wow. I am praying for both you and your Mom. I so appreciate your openess and honesty.

Yesterday's goals were met. Could up the fiber a bit.

Today's goals:
treadmill, situps & stretching, veggies, fiber, 2 liters water, 1200 calories.

Forging on.....

Hi everyone. Feel bad that I don't have time for personals. Thinking of you all, though. Not much time for sleep either!

Back down to 77.2 kgs this morning. How many times can I lose and gain this same lb? Anyway, back to exercising over the weekend which will be great.

Super day to everyone!

Good Morning - 135.8, bump up and nearing the limit. 1717 in and 1648 out. BP 105/72. Today is planned and is 1397 in - I let myself eat popcorn and too much even though I did not get the requisite steps. It is definitely a control issue. There is not much value in these calories from popcorn though it is added fiber.

Yesterday, cutting of the personal computer and not turning on until after work really seemed to help with work productivity. It is amazing how much we rely on social media for 5 minutes here or there and how it cuts into our day. I was also thinking it has been awhile since I have been to acupuncture and I may go visit her for the issues related to resurgence of the rectocele as well as the PF issues.

I am praying for all who have struggled with binging. I don't think I binge or have ever binged in that I have not very often lost control and eaten a lot of food at once..my issues are more of visual triggers and stress snacking. So I think it not fair for me to even attempt advice on the binges but to offer sincere support as it is all issues with control and I know that our willpower is usually not enough but instituting habits and external controls around the behaviors helps.

Diana - I am glad things went well yesterday. Are there non food ways you can comfort yourself after the binge? In my program they call it bunny slippers. Something special you do for you to give comfort and replace the eating. I think you are right to focus on bringing yourself back to your "new normal" but also remember to be kind to you and tender.

Jendiet - I truly think the time change, stress, AND, for you, the TOM has worn you out. Make sure you are getting necessary nutrients (like B12 and iron) but sleep should help with weight loss too and I bet with those little ones you don't get enough.

Emily - congrats on buying the house. A time of great joy and also one of the most stressful things you will do! Planning day in advance may help with controlling eating. I think when all that is going on it is easy to just go out to eat and overeat etc.

Jules - good to see you back. It sounds like you are taking appropriate action steps to control the night eating which, as you know, is THE worst time to put food into your system. A struggle of mine. Ok I have to tell myself "hunger is NOT an emergency" and hot tea honestly does seem to be a good replacement behavior. Reading your struggle reminds me that, yes, my popcorn has go to go. Nothing good comes of it.

Nancy - I do hope your weigh in is good and that you meet your goals but remember you control your behaviors and not that pesky scale. Persistence and consistency ultimately DO pay off and they ARE now paying off for you. You have got this.

Teri, what I do (but this restore auto saved content feature we now have seems to be helpful) is save my post when it gets to a certain point and then come back and EDIT it. IT seems that when I have window open then scroll back to the previous page to do personals is when I lose everything. Doing it that way means I rarely loose a post and, LOL, I tend to be verbose if you have not noticed. .

Kelijpa - some good insights. Thanks for sharing.

Ciece, your simple persistence and regularity is more motivaional than you may realize.

Larry - We miss you. How are you doing these days?

Good Morning, Everyone!

Today is the last day for the shingles meds. I pray that it doesn't return!

Flower Lifting your Mom up in prayer and you. Praying for comfort and peace for you.

Grannynancy I tend to be OK with getting back at it. My bunny slippers, yesterday was that I went back to my healthy eating. Meaning, my mind said that I needed to fast or only eat yogurt since I had eaten so much the day before. But I chose to get back to healthy eating because I know the other choice can cause another trigger.

Last night: Full body stretch and some exercises from the Dr.
This Morning: Oxycise

Calories for yesterday: 1515 +
N*W*I

Have a Blessed day!

Today's devotion rings true for me.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

March 12

2 Chronicles 15:2
'. . .The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.'

In this day and age, promises are made easily and just as easily broken. We promise ourselves that we are going to lose weight, then we turn around and cheat at every possible chance. For this reason, we ought to include God in our diets. Whereas we might break promises that we make to ourselves, we stand a much better chance of keeping the promises we make to God. When we break promises to ourselves, we have no one to answer to, but when we break our promises to God, He expects us to explain. Promising God that we will lose weight makes dieting much easier.

Today's thought: I will lose weight for God's sake!

Hi!

I am feeling frustrated. I am having computer problems...Looks like I did two of the same entries here... Any how, now my sticky notes disappeared. And it is different this time. I could figure out how to restore it. It is And there is something weird with my antivirus.

FOOD MOVER: a device about the size of a check book invented by Richard Simmons. You slide a card in depending on how many calories you want to consume. Has little windows for different food groups: ie. fruits, veggies, proteins, carbs, water, exercise, etc. You slid down a cover over a window after consuming a food .Easier than writing down what I have eaten.

DID-ITs: (easier to type than ACCOMPLISHMENTS)

1) no food mover. Diet healthy EXCEPT frappe and 3 brownies.

2) no exercises except knee exercises and I went up and down stairs many times.

3) I am not losing wt. right now, but over all I am down a couple of pounds.

4) I transplanted more seedlings. I am told not to transplant until they get 4 leaves, but I do it as soon as they germinate. Supposedly chemicals are released by the seedling into the soil that promote growth, but if you have too many seeds, then seeds don't grow...(I don't know what I am doing.)

5) I washed garden stuff and made a dent in my garage garden mess.

6) I am so HAPPY my seeds are germinating. I really need something good to happen.

TODO:

1) Food mover.

2) Exercise.

3) Transplant seedlings.

4) Clean up mess.

5) Look into health care.

Good morning/afternnon/evening to all the chicks who come here to play ( )
It has been a good morning, did my thing at the gym, it was harder today than yesterday but I am proud to say this is week 4 of going every morning M-F so I feel real good about that and want to pat myself on the back.
WI down another bump and I am amazed at this 163.4, please let this stick for tomorrow mornings WI pretty please with sugar on top...no skip the sugar please make that a piece of fruit.

Teri, cool job on the seedlings! I have no green thumb and my garlic bulbs are starting to sprout...way to early here for that
Diana, so yeah on last day of medication, again thank you for your insight and today's devotion.
granny, I am sorry popcorn is a trigger for you as you truly seem to enjoy that bit of snack in the eveining. I have not real suggestions as we all have a demon on our shoulder at times whispering in our ears. Mine screams at me somenights saying chocolate, chips basically anything that seems 'sinful' to eat.
mama, to answer that age old quesitons how many times can you gain and lose the same pound?????oh gee about a zillion IMHO and experience.
Rachal great stratigy with the treadmill
flower, all I want to do is give you tons of hugs to ease the stress and if it helps I am praying and thinking of you often
jen I like that you referenced the scale as a tool and read no more into it than that
Jules, LOL I think I am on version 275 with plans.....persistance is the name of the game
ciecie, you make me want to get out and walk more
emily, how are things today?
larry?????

Hi all, sorry I have been AWOL . been super busy. Went on a great Shriners Hospital fundraising motorcycle ride along with about 400 other bikers. 196 mile round trip from my house.
Escorted all the way by Florida State Police and Sherriff's deputies all on motorcycles. Amazed that they totally shut down the East bound lanes on Interstate 4 for our ride. Seemed strange to be riding on an Interstate highway with no cars or trucks. Bahia Shriners of Orlando had their CAMEL Sir Gus at the destination and he was providing all who wanted a nice sloppy wet camel kiss. It was very funny to watch the camel's 8 inch tongue slobbering faces but I passed on a kiss.

I am tearing out old plantings along the new ramp and along the front and back of the house. I am putting in flowering Azaleas. Having to modify the soil with elemental Sulphur as these plants do best with acidic soil. I have been doing a lot of yard work in preparation for grass cutting season which is upon us.

Sunday I blew my diet starting with a hot dog and then kind of went wild. Yesterday was only mildly beyond my carb goals. Oh well get back on the horse that threw you they say so today Tuesday I am back on track.

Flower not sure how I missed your post! But I just wanted to say I truly empathize with you. DD2 has anxiety issues and I know how extremely real they are for her!

With my mom, as she got older, any imbalance in blood chemistry could cause scary and wild hallucinations and that is so unsettling. We always knew if she had a UTI because that would set them off big time - with the stroke she could not communicate verbally and the situation, even though we kept her clean of a certain level of urinary incontinence set her up for those infections.

Oh I am sure you HAVE been through the mill. Hugs to you.

Rachel - I will have to check that out. First glance is WOW but the expense as I have over 200' of fence out back - I like the way the system works though
