Hi everyone. Hoping your all having a good weekend. Despite my few glasses of wine last night, I lost 700g. I've lost 1.8kg or just on 4 pounds so far. I am waiting for last night to show on the scale, but it was great to be under 80kgs (176 pounds) for the first time in ages!

I was right, weekends are definitely harder! More socialising, more time at home. But I'm hanging in there. On the plus side, more time for exercise!

Hope everyone is doing well!

ciecie 02-09-2019 10:24 AM

good morning! just had breakfast. will power walk and run errands in a few minutes. :D

nancylmrn 02-09-2019 11:01 AM

Good morning to all
WI back up that pesky pound even though I got my steps in and carb/calories were a bit high.
Woke up to about 10-12 inches of snow and more expected today, and no chance of a snow plow coming our way we are home bound for a bit. DH truck should be ok but it does not have 4 wheel drive. They are expecting another 3 inches today. We live in a higher elevation than Seattle so our snow fall is higher. I am so glad I stocked up on Thursday. I guess I will get my workout when I shovel snow off the steps and drive way.

momwannabe congratulations on the drop that is terriffic
Back later ~~

ciecie 02-09-2019 11:57 AM

good afternoon! will power walk to lunch in a few minutes. :D

nancylmrn 02-09-2019 02:29 PM

So I measured the snow fall in our driveway and it showed 13", took DH and I an hour with two snow shovels to clear ....Fitbit said I burned nearly 500 calories but only 4500 steps....I'll take it

ciecie 02-09-2019 02:50 PM

Goodness Nancy, that is a lot of snow and yes Great workout.

Granny, you are handling maintenance beautifully. Glad you liked chia in oatmeal. I like that it has about a 4:1 omega 3:6 ratio. I was talking to my mom and was telling her we needed more 3 compared to 6. She thought I had it backwards... I looked it up. I also got those interesting fish oil packets I really like...

ciecie, do you walk to church???

momwanb, awesome job!!

Larry, I used to do every other day if, and I did drop weight fast . I can't thank you enough for your service

Diana, you are doing great with your calories, it must be freeing to go scale free. Have fun with friends!

Rachel, progress nor perfection

weekend, what are you counting down 3 weeks for again??

Emily, so glad you are feeling better again. What is pangasius???

I will not get credit for all the steps I got shopping or cleaning or taking the trash because my tracker quietly died while I was out and about.

I ate less then 1300 calories today and finally did omad. Feeling a ltitle rough with a sore throat trying to start...

going to do paperwork and go to bed...goodnight

Good morning, everyone. We've woken to a windy morning which makes me a bit itchy scratchy. Nancylm I would love some of that snow right about now! I find snow so calming. Our weather at the moment seems a bit violent! We're just recovering from a massive drought here. It got so bad that we were within weeks of having to go and fetch 20l of water per person for the day from central points. And then it rained! We're still on high alert, still flushing toilets with left over shower water, but it's much better.

I had a tiny gain of 0.1 kgs this morning, but not going to worry to much about that. Still squeezing in under the 80kg mark which is good for my mindset! I managed to do 20minutes of cardio last night which is the most that I've done since starting to exercise again. I know, 20 minutes really sounds silly, but I am so unfit! Those last three minutes are torture! But I'm sure in a few weeks I'll be able to do 20 minutes easily....I hope! I'm sticking to my calories and I'm considering adding in 2 low calorie days in a week....but I'll see how I go. This has to not make me miserable otherwise I'm going to give up!

Granny: I've seen so many of your posts in other threads and you are such an inspiration. I keep thinking I won't be able to lose the weight because I'm much older this time round - turning 40 this year. I've therefore set a very conservative goal for myself to avoid the possible failure and make it seem more manageable. But you've done it! So perhaps I'll be inspired to keep going once I get to my goal.

Ciecie: You do lots of walking! We are such a car based society this side. It must be nice to walk everywhere.

Diana: You do some interesting sounding exercises! What is oxycise?

Weekend: How are the renovations going?

So glad to hear that everyone seems to be healthier. Our health is such a blessing!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Sunday.

Rachel1234 02-10-2019 05:49 AM

good morning

Jendiet, Thank you for your reminder: "progress not perfection." I needed to hear that! That's uplifting to me today

nancylmrn, nice picture! I've heard on the news of the massive amounts of snow your area has received!!!

I did not get my exercise in yesterday. No good excuse either! As Jen says, "Progress not Perfection". I DID keep my calorie intake to 1300 so that is good.

Today is church, then scrabble with family. My goals today: stay under 1500 calories, fiber, 2 liters water.

Blessed Sunday to you all.....

Diana3271 02-10-2019 07:09 AM

Good Morning, Everyone! https://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/ima...iles/wavey.gif

momwannabe This is a sample of their workouts. I only do the breathing part, since I do it as a part of my normal morning routine. I am getting lazy though and need to go back and review the instructional video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsEeXrynDo0

Last night: Nothing, tired
This Morning: Oxycise

I woke up feeling bloated and I think it was from the soup/sandwich at lunch.

Calories for yesterday: 1510 + :coffee:
No weigh in, scale broke

Have a Blessed day!

February 10

Revelation 21:7
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Being thin is a wonderful goal. Regaining health and vigor is also great. Looking and feeling good are important, but both pale in comparison with how good it is to please the Lord by being the best people we can be. When we diet, we not only gain physically, but also spiritually. Resisting temptation tones our spiritual being as well as dieting tones our physical being. When we reach our goal in our diet, we reach a second goal, as well: We do what is pleasing to God. When we are faithful to do the will of the Lord, we can rest assured that we have an eternal home with Him.

Today's thought: Dieting makes me a spiritual overcomer as well as a physical overcomer!

grannynancy 02-10-2019 07:28 AM

Good Morning 132.0 a surprising new low - was expecting a bump because the poo fairy did not come yesterday. Go figure 1540 in 1570 out got in all exercise and 13,309 steps. Sadly I had some noncompliance with (drum roll) popcorn. I am going to ask my husband to hide it or we don't buy anymore after it is gone. Funny, I can manage with the chocolate with no issues but the crunchy salty carbs - compliance eludes me.

Dog training this afternoon, probably in the cold rain. Brrrrr

Today is planned at 1592 calories and includes more fat and fewer carbs. I think my persistent dry skin issues may be not enough of the good fats.

Nancy - Brr on the snow. Honestly you look GREAT in your picture. You must carry a good bit of muscle is all I can say . Amazing how much work shoveling is!

Momwannabe - I think South Africa and also Australia are the canaries in the coal mine - Are people leaving the country? Climate change is a major driver of emigration for sure. CONGRATS on the drop!

Jendiet - I am sold on the Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega in terms of fish oil. Natural triglyceride form and, more importantly, from small fish lower on the food change and North Atlantic [I worry about Pacific fish after Fukushima]. I immediately put in freezer once the seal is broken. Most fish oils are packed with a nitrogen gas so they won't go rancid. I have cut open the capsule and tasted the liquid oil and it is not fishy. Fishy taste is from rancid oils so if the liquid is not fishy probably all good. Hope you don't come down with anything and congrats for back on track. With the small kids maybe you need a planned menu for when you face various ailments. I know the little ones bring home so many germs. Same thing for TOM ?

ciecie 02-10-2019 09:21 AM

good morning! just had breakfast. will go for a power walk and run errands in a few minutes. :D

nancylmrn 02-10-2019 11:29 AM

Good morning to all
WI the same still 170.4 grrr you would have thought with the shoveling of that dreaded white stuff that would have helped but........of course I overindulged so guess it evened out. :D
DH and I did take his truck out for a 6 mile round trip to the local grocery store...I can say that my car would not have made it. We are expecting another 3 inches tonight and it does not look like this will let up until towards the end of the week. Of course no plow's my way, once we got to the main roads (3miles scary hilly/deep ditches.... the roads were just slushy and wet)
But being home bound I am making use of my IP haha. Today I am looking for something to make with the beef bone broth I made and I just can't quite put my finger on what I want.
Thank you granny, jen, rachael and diana for the comment on my avitar I debated hard with myself before putting it up. But had to show off the work LOL and boy am I sore today.
granny your oatmeal and chia seeds sound great so I am breaking out my steel cut oats, will toast them and have them for breakfast this am!

back later

ciecie 02-10-2019 11:46 AM
