I'm so sorry Nicole. Just keep taking care of you and keep in mind that it will be ok because everything happens for a reason (it sounds cliche but I truly believe it).

nicole- i'm sorry, those types of things are awful because theres really nothing you can do to make yourself feel better. tryto keep yourself busy? you're fabulous, its his loss

patchwork- whats pes?

first of all i skipped yesterday:

i did get on teh bike adn finally did teh 30 day shred again but... i ate too much

tuna and half a piece of bread for lunch

dinner:

healthy choice fettuccini alfredo frozen meal (minus the cherry crisp)

then i got on the stationary bike for less than an hour (but 8miles, so yay)

and... i was starving. which is understandable since i hadnt had much all day so i said hey i have way left on my allotted calories...

second dinner:

quesadilla and tuna sandwich with chips ....
and.... m&ms and milk for dessert >.<

today the scale went up, but it motivated me to FINALLY get back to the gym! i was too tired to do the 30 day shred but i said it was okay because hey- it had been so long since i'd gotten in a real workout

i also slept in, so i missed meals

lunch: chili

snack: powerbar

water: got more than my 2 liters again, 4 is too much to me. i need to work up to it and get it down waaaay before bedtime or else i cant sleep

exercise- i stayed until the gym closed which kind of bummed me out because i couldnt get the full 3 hours.

2hrs 42 minutes 13.22 miles and 1611 calories

i WILL not gain weight this week, grrr

Up a pound, but on a major carb load and a day in bed, I can't complain, lol

For the first time in a long time, I planned today out. Maybe it will keep me on track even if I'm sad. He promised to call me last night to finish talking and never did. I'm not calling him though; I won't give him the satisfaction.

So, I reached for the raisin bran crunch this morning, and told myself "Measure it, and add it to a plan that doesn't involve 4 servings of cereal a day."

Snacks to include vegetables, up to one apple, and up to one yogurt

Breakfast - 213 calories
Kellogg's Raisin Bran Crunch - 1 generous cup (overflowing a bit, so counted as 1 and 1/8)

Lunch - 416 calories
4 oz chicken breast sauteed in olive oil with greek seasoning
1 cup frozen lima beans
2 roma tomatoes
1 yellow tomato
1 orange tomato

Dinner - 361 calories
4oz Tilapia fillet
2 cups mixed veggies
1 tbsp butter

Dessert - 138 calories
1/8 slice godiva cheesecake (My last bite! LOL)

Nicole, I don't plan my days, food or activiites. I think it would be better if I did; I would feel less like I'm floundering around. {Do penguins flounder?} Planning would help me feel like I"m accomplishing more, I bet.

Hi all! Hope everyone's weekend is going great even though it's almost over!

Nicole, what type of Greek seasoning do you use for your chicken? Do you mix seasonings yourself of buy it? That sounds so good and I was at the grocery store today and didn't see any Greek style seasoning. Thanks! Fashin - Yay! Congratulations. I use Penzey's Greek Seasonings, which I just buy from a Penzey's near me. I think they do mail order or orders online as well :-)

Unfortunately, planning did nothing for me. It's really hard on me, thinking about my relationship being over after 2 and a half years. It's crappy. He texts me, and I want to binge. What I ended up with is:

Breakfast - 213 calories
1 and 1/4 cups raisin bran crunch

Lunch - 474 calories
4 oz chicken
( I started with lima beans but they dried out too much and I gave up)
1 Keebler elf cookie
12 frosted mini wheats
a few bites of neapolitan ice cream out of the freezer

Dinner - 560 calories
Marie Callender's Pasta al dente garlic chicken
6 tostitos lime

Snack - 138 calories
Bites of Godiva cheesecake

Total: 1385

I'm still munchy and hungry and feeling like eating though I hate the way I can eat emotionally.

Thanks Diana! I'm sorry your cassrole did not turn out well, I hate when that happens.

And thank you too, Nicole! I do know what you're going through and I'm so sorry because I know how much it sucks. Just focus on you and it will take some time but you will be ok.

March 21, 2010 check-in

72+ ounces water
Exercise: Shoveled 2 driveways (30+ minutes) and my weekly cleaning job
20 minutes of an aerobic video

Breakfast:
Egg Sandwich on Sandwich Thins
Special K Fruit Crisps

Snack:
Almonds & Walnuts
Apple Pie yogurt

Lunch:
WW Teriyaki Chicken & vegetables

Snack:
Mozzarella Cheese Stick

Dinner:

Approx. 1282 calories. Didn't eat enough calories today, but I went in to work and worked for 8 1/2 hours (filing, paperwork, organizing in the file room, etc) and ate what I had available - that's why I had two frozen dinners today. I got to work right after breakfast and was at work for lunch and dinner. Then after I left there I went and cleaned the offices that I clean on the weekends. Too late to eat anything else tonight.

Fashin, Congratulations on reaching your Mini-goal! That's such a great feeling.

Kris, Ick, on the long day at work, especially on a Sunday, but kudos for planning ahead with the two WW meals.

Diana, I've gotten really picky about what I eat since starting CCounting, I get really frusterated if I don't enjoy my food.

Nicole, As an emotional eater myself, I know how you feel. Just remember the food won't make you feel better. I got a lot of help for my emotional/boredom eating out of Judith Beck's The Beck Diet Solution {pink cover}. Beck is a psychiatrist, her book has little to do with the actual food we eat and more to do with why we eat it. You might check the library for it , although I found mine at TJ Maxx for about $4.
