I'm trying hard to ignore the little voice...

This is going to be SO hard - just made spag bol and put garlic olive oil on DH's pasta and chopped basil on mine - made him some lovely buttery garlic bread - but didn't have any myself. Arghhhhh!

Just keep reminding me about my pretty Monsoon Christmas tops...... PLEASE

I think I've deleted the pix - but some of them are here on the original Christmas Challenge thread.

Went a little crazy at work today, someone made the most unbelievable gooey brownie things. They were so crazy good, oh well tonight I'm going to spinning. This is a ridiculous week I'm hoping to just not do too much damage.

I need to find that new caramel Baileys, every store here only has the nips, I'm planning to bring it to a party on Thursday night.

People I work with are starting to annoy me, I really need Christmas break.

Jen, I those flavoured bottles of Baileys. Last Christmas they trialled them in airports and I picked up a few *ahem* on my way through (they were also doing tastings - a good start to the day at about 7am after an overnight drive to Gatwick...) and I'm fairly sure they were all gone by the time I came home. A bottle of the creme caramel one has just found its way into my shopping and snuck into the house. I expect it will be mugging me soon Even better, they're also selling it in Spain this year so my mother has already stocked up ready for next week.

Sarah - MONSOON TOPS.

Had to be said

I'm getting so old and boring. Not only have I just been out to buy a vacuum cleaner (the glamour) with a money off voucher from Tesco that I could have spent on booze, I'm also driving into work tomorrow because it's the christmas party. I usually get the bus, but the one day when there will be free drinks I drive - so I can get from the work party to the running club party and then back home again. Two parties and no drinks. But my bottle of Baileys will be waiting when I get back home...

I'm currently trying to decide whether to run outside in the morning or try to do a longer run on the treadmill. At the moment I can only manage to do about half an hour on it (too boring), and I want a longer run than that.

Sarah and Lou - good luck with the job hunt!

Helen I agree with you on the treadmill. It's been so nice here I've been lucky to only have to jump on the treadmill once or twice but after 30 minutes I am so ridiculously bored. I'm trying to do hills and speedwork on it to pass the time.

How do you guys drink the caramel Baileys? I usually drink the regular with only ice, but I'm thinking some of my coffee drinking friends will drop some in there. Just wondering if I should bring anything else to mix it with on Thursday (provided I find it).

It was awesome... I actually saw the show this time haha! I was at an awkward angle the first time!
Our work is charging us for the Christmas dinner their providing this year-£4.50 odd each. They can sod right off! Last year it was rancid... some sprouts you broke the fork trying to pick up, others went mush...carrots that tasted of soap-deep friend stuffing balls... RANK! And other random-should not be consumed type foods.
It was free last year! Good job too! None of us are going to have it this time though!

I went to London on the weekend to visit my friends newborn baby. I went into a new shop on Oxford St I think it was, it sells Choux bun things... Oh--My LIFE! I had 2... * *They were so very morrish! I'm going up again soon, I think I might just have to avoid Oxford street! There was probably as many syns in those 2 buns than I am allowed in a year!

FOG! There's FOG! I'm still at home... I want to work from home today since I have stuff that I can be doing... Whether I'll be allowed or not is another matter I've rung to tell them there's fog... I think they'll already know though since 2 other people live quite near me, however they are more hardcore and 1 drives, so not so bad if he runs into someone.... I'd just rather stay in the warm house!

It was really icy here, but I went out and did 4.3 miles outside because I can't run with running club tonight. It wasn't as far as I wanted to go but the slightly longer route doesn't have as good streetlights and I wanted to see the ice before I put my foot on it... Still more than I'd have done on the treadmill (and harder because of the hills) so I'm glad I didn't go for the easy option. I was actually really warm (I've got my winter running clothes sorted now so I stay at the right temperature), it was just the darkness and the slippiness I didn't like.

Must try to be restrained during the day today, as I have two christmas parties tonight

There's still fog...

I have found that I can appear busy at home by e-mailing my bosses... However I've got the heating on full-blast and I might take a half hour coffee/nap break in a minute! It is Christmas!

RSG - I forgot to say, I drink the creme caramel baileys just like normal baileys, on its own with ice.
