Anyone else listening to the news on Radio 2? Apparently a goverment think tank have come up with a plan for tackling obesity. There are various suggestions but the main one featured was by putting a label on larger size clothes with a health warning and phone number for a help line printed on it. They do come up with some strange ideas!

C'mon Government - we are depressed enough about wearing a big size , and if that does not motivate us all........

I wonder how many fat cats in parliament would be happy about that!

oo and other job in going for.. interview on tues.... when do u negotiate salary.... do u was when they sak u if u have any questions.....

or wait to they offer you and then chat about $...... ??????

the other job is 5K less than im on... so would like to match it if poss....
but think it only works out to be £200 diffrence.. (which is a lot... but its better than no money at all!)

never had to do it before as our pay is quite fixed... even if u get promotion you only go up to that grade and then one point above where you currently are.. coz they overlap a bit!....

Good luck on the interview front Lou.

I would not deliberately go for a job that offers 5K less if you can help it. You don't want to 'sell yourself' for less. Plus in the future if you apply for another job they will look at the drop in salary you took and tend to offer you a salary at the lower end too. If they can get away with it, they willl! Well that is my 2p anyway!

I Ellie!!!!! She's sooooooooooo cute!

I have been given a big 2.2kg tin of Roses choccies by work First of all I have to carry them home on my bike.... Second of all... I'm going to be stuck with a huge tin of not so special choccies that will probably get eaten v quickly! I've already opened the tin and eaten 2, so I can't give them away since I've taken the sticker off! I don't really have anyone to give them too anyway! I also got 2 bottles of wine which we don't drink But I did get a nice fat Christmas bonus so it's not all bad! New motorbike for me!

She's just chewed a hole in my new cardigan.

Frus - why not share out the Roses at work - just leave them on your desk so people can help themselves. If you don't drink wine then why not cook with it - it makes lovely gravy in casseroles - and you can freeze the leftovers. Well done on the bonus!

Lou - Good luck with the job hunt. That Gt Ormond Street one sounds lovely.

Ah yes, I would love to share the Roses at work, that would be the best plan. Unfortunately everyone at work also got a 2.2kg tin of Roses too.... So we will be well sick of Roses by New Year! I have decided to leave them in my drawer here, so that people can watch me eat them! It's quite noisy to open the drawer, open the tin, rumage round till you find the one you want! I'm going to see if I can make them last till next Christmas!

Poor cardigan... It was a nice cardigan, I saw it on another thread.

I've just decided what to do with my choccies!

I'm going to take them to the kiddies kickboxing class tomorrow. I was going to pop down early on my bike, go shopping then go to my private lesson. However I think I'll pop down, hand choccies to Lee to hand out at the end of the lesson, then go shopping... If there's any left over I'll take them to my class on Monday too!

I didn't pay full price for it (when do I ever pay full price for anything?) - I got it at the designer retail outlet place for about twenty squids - but it was still lovely. I phoned DH to tell him what she'd done and he said he'll stop by Freeport on his way home from work to see if they've got another one. Heaven only knows what he'll come home with this time.

The black fake tree is actually quite nice - seems a bit small - but it fits well in the corner. I'm going to put the lights on it this afternoon - can't wait to see if Ellie goes nuts again. That blummin dog!

Good idea! If you haven't got them you can't eat them.

It's an ingenious idea! I shall take them in a Tesco carrier so that I don't have to fit the huge tin in my rucksack!

I'm off to the gym tonight to practice "Dolphin flips". You know in films where people spring off the floor from lying on their backs... That's what I'm going to do!
