Frus - you've got a chocolate fountain, haven't you? How much chocolate and what type of chocolate do you need to put in to it to start it up - and do you need to put anything else in to it apart from chocolate??????

I have a small-ish choccy fountain. It takes about a kilo of choccy and I buy mine from e-bay. I think if you use normal chocolate you have to add oil or something to make it flow better

A KILO???? OMG - I've bought 5 or 6 of them as presents! It'll cost me a fortune. I think I'll let everyone buy their own chocolate.

Morning all....

All settled in now with Mum and J.... bags delivered, all unpacked...super duper job
Ok CG and Sarah, how long did it take to get the onions over? I haven't heard from MT to say she got the one's I sent...she hasn't been on here for a bit though. I hope she gets them.

Very mild here today... global warming they say. I'm off to the mall with Mum and J and meeting Brits for lunch, will try to be good, don't want to undo my work from last week, but I did have two mini twirls yesterday with a cuppa........so delish......

Ok, must get going and get sorted with a few bits and bobs, another trip to the PO with more boxes is needed and then I'm done...have a good day all.

I think they took about a week. Can't really remember now. I know they turned up sooner than I expected.

Helen - I'm making that cassoulet now and the smells are amazing - we're having it with spinach.

Oh dear! I finally forced DH to get on the scales this morning and he's down to 10st 6 - which is a bit worrying because in August he was 12st exactly (and 12st suited him)!

Lakeland plastics sells different types of choc that you can put in a fountain - including white, plain, milk and strawberry flavoured choc - for them as interested.

I have just bought some catnip toys for the 4 cats at my Brother's for Christmas.

The French guy (our Departmental Frenchman) has decided the treats are for me and he suspects that the chocolate I am eating contains catnip too!

He will soon know if I go into a trance (like one of my cats used to), or go into an absolute frenzy (like the other one did!).

Sarah those chocolate fondue things are so popular this year.I see them everywhere I go .All the chocolate seems to be in 2lb bags.

Chris the onions took about 6 days. Enjoy your lunch who were you meeting up with?

I still have shopping to do. Will need to get organised but a busy week ahead.

Hello everyone

I keep meaning to try some of the lovely recipies you all describe my mouth
waters also when I read about them.

Again there is just tons of food at work. Today I have been fairly restrained
but tomorrow we are having a bit of an afternoon soiree I am bringing in cheeses there will loads of stuff but I shall do my best not to pig out. Really I had wanted a fairly frugal week. I am out at a do Friday night and plan to wear a gorgeous shirt I got from River Island in a Black kind of satiny material
short puffed sleeves glittery buttons and a bit ruched in the middle an
a tie belt. Its fitted so I can't be eating like a piggy!!

Has your hubby been deliberately trying to lose weight Sarah?
Helen are you in January Eve or the February edition?
Chris glad your mum has her bags.

Take good care everyone

Michele

I think it's the February one, the one that's out on 3rd Jan anyway.

I had the best conversation at running club tonight. Talking about why we started running.

Me - I started originally to lose weight
Other girl - but you don't need to lose weight, you're so skinny, you must only be a size 8...

We did about 6.4 miles this evening, a nice leg stretch after yesterday! I've finally brought my trainers from yesterday into the house proper from the porch, they're still damp so I've got them drying by a radiator on some newspaper at the moment. They look truly disgusting.

Lunch was nice, waitress was crap, I always seem to get them... she was so slow...and didn't bring stuff as ordered...I kept my gob shut though...it is the season of being nice

CG... met up with Chrissy....the Brit woman.

Michelle, your shirt sounds really nice, please take pics at the do, so we can see how lovely you look.

Helen, your trainers sound horrible, my son's truck used to look like that after he decided what fun it would be to drive out in the desert after a rain...and then wash it off in the driveway, all the dirt would run down the road and settle by the neighbours driveway and they'd moan at me. Did you stick some newspaper inside? it'll help them dry quicker. Nice comment from your fellow runner...you deserve it

Sarah, that's a fab loss for your hubs, even though he didn't need to lose.. see how well your food does for everyone. I think I need to come and live with you for a year and I'll be a skinny minnie. Well I hope MT's onions have arrived as well, i'd like her to have them for her green bean casserole for Christmas time.

Mum is knackered from wandering the mall and lunch, she's dozing as we speak, loooks so sweet in the recliner with te fire going...I do love her.

I got some bargains at the mall for the rest of my Christmas shopping, I am all done..yahooooooooooooo........wahaaaaaaaaaaaaay... ......good job...

Right, had better go and see about some dinner....

Chris the winter help on the Cape usually leaves something to be desired, often they are very cranky people

This weather is crazy, so warm I just ran about 6 miles. I wasn't going to run tonight but my gym is annoying me. I went on Saturday and they were closed because of a "small fire." So I called today and they said we're open, what they didn't say is that all classes were cancelled. I was so mad because it's the one kind of far from my house (there's another one right across the street from my house which I would have gone to had I known that classes were cancelled) and I drove up there...annoying.

Went out for tapas last night, didn't do too much damage though and the food was great, we all passed on dessert which was nice.

Sarah men seem to lose weight so easily, I wish I weighed what your husband weighs

Three more days of work and then we are out until Jan 3!!!!!!

Sarah - I had to fatten my man up from 10st something up to 12 stone something!!! He was far too skinny to be healthy. Now he's a little bit rounded but still looks like a stick insect

It's a bit chilly out! I had to sing on the motorbike to stop me from freezing to death and falling off!

My scales are being meanies! I had a good day yesterday and they are up a pound They obviously haven't heard of being nice at Christmas!

I managed to get rid of some choccies yesterday, but nowhere near all of them! I'm taking some more to class tonight! Begone ye chocolate of the devil!

Very cold this morning. I'm actually planning to run outside tomorrow morning, but that plan might be changing if it's like this. Weights this morning.

I survived a toblerone mugging yesterday just about. I don't think I'm in danger of a chocolate attack today, although you never know when they're going to land so I'll try to be vigilant!

3.5 days to go, then I'm off til 8th January. Bliss.
