woohoo..good for you Chris..thats the bonus..the extra energy i find exercise does that for me too. I was out all day yesterday with hubby so missed a routine..plan on treadmilling later
On Saturday I did 25 minutes of Lorraine Kelly aerobics vid
Today I have taken the boys swimming, was more of a splash around than a proper swim, but was better than sitting on the couch doing nothing.
I've also done a pile of ironing, must have burnt some cals with that - please tell me I have.
Am going to do the warm up / cool down to the salsa video is good fun.
Am thinking about doing the swim for life, you have to commit to swimming a multiple of 22 miles between now and the end of December. 50 lengths of the local pool would give me 1 mile, could I do that 22 times between now and the new year. Am thinking long and hard about it at the moment. best not leave it too long though. Time is the problem as opposed to the swimming.
Carol luv, sounds like you're back on tracah even if you haven't managed to get outside right now. Well done.
Your talk for Scotland on the other page was brill, you are an ispiration with your ways of thinking
I have been avidly going to Curves still anad am still loving it. I got weighed and measured yesterday (they do this once a month). ANd I am VERY proud to say that I have lost five and a half pounds in weight (although I follow my own weekly weigh in so there's doesn't really count for me) and I have lost a total of ten and a ahlf inches altogtehr adding up the losses from the boobies, tum, hips thighs and arms. I am really chuffed...even got a sticker that said great job! LOL! I can feel the difference in my clothes, and in my energy level, so I reckon Curves and following points is the way for me to be a slim jim in the near future.
Have a great week everyone.
Yaaayy Chris that is fantastic! i'm so glad that you are loving it..Carol you are back with a vengeance and i'm sure you can do the 'swim' we all know what you are capable of when you set your mind to it
I have'nt done any exercise for a week now..unless you count yard work..painting..planting and weedeating and my muscles hurt enough so it sure felt like exercise
I keep forgetting about this thread. Six weeks ago I started setting myself weekly exercise challenges involving my strider. I am working my way up to using it for 150mins per week. I started off at 50mins per week and I add 10mins each week. My current week sees me on 100mins. I start the challenge the day after I am weighed and ensure all my minutes are done before I go for the next weigh-in. And it seems to be working, I just need a bit of structure. This week I have also started jogging on the spot. It isn't much, I started with 2 mins and each time I do it I am aiming to do an extra minute. My last attempt was 4 mins and I managed it. I feel to conscious of my size to go and jog round the block at the moment. But I am definitely getting fitter as after 10mins on the strider I would be out of breath, but most of the time now I do 15min straight stints on it. And I am not particularly out of puff when I do my few minutes jogging on the spot. Also I try to walk the dog when the weather is nice, but the poor old dog is knackered after 15mins and pulling me back to the car!! But never mind every little helps and I wouldn't want to walk without the dog for protection (not a very nice area where I live).
Great Job leigh-r i have'nt done any exercise apart from what i'm getting outside but i did open those new Pilates tapes yesterday and have a go at that hmmm hopefully i'll get better with practice
