Morning all,

Helen, I've posted the recipe earlier somewhere, but u basicly take some lasagne sheets, boil them for 3-5 mins. In the meantime cover a baking tray with foil and spray it with frylight. then cut the lasagnesheets in triangles and put them on the tray. Spray them with frylight, season with whatever season you prefer and put it in the oven at around 220C until golden. Be careful tho, cause they burn quickly, you really have to watch them. It's a bit of work, but its well worth it. I usually have them with salsa or a fromage frais dip.

Cazie, thanks for the info....might have a word with my doc the next time I'm there.

Bubbly, you're right, 1lb a week does sum up, thats why I wasn't too crushed. Even a wee loss is a loss. Looks like you had a nice weekend there....and at least you made an attempt with the fry light there lol. Just jump back on the wagon and you will be fine...if not this week, next week will show.

I've made something absolutely easy and delicious last night and thought I'd share it with you. Took some small baby potatoes, washed them, put them on a baking tray, sprayed with frylight, sprinkled seasalt, and different herbs and spices on top and put it in the oven for 30 mins together with some summer roasted veg (from tesco), which i sprayed with frylight as well. Grilled some chicken with lots of spices and had it all together with a bit of sweet chilli sauce (I LOVE SC sauce). It was a feast...and didn't feel like 'diet food' if you know what I mean....yuuummmy!

OOh I'll have to try those lasagne crisps sometimes, thanks. Thank dinner sounds lovely, I made myself a gorgeous free pasta bake last night and enjoyed every minute of it. I find it so hard to convince myself that I'll lose weight on something so tasty lol.

Weigh in 2 days!!

Let me think, I cooked my pasta (enough for 2 meals), until it was just becoming soft, but not soggy. In another pan I had a tin of chopped tomatos, chopped button mushrooms, onions, and cooked it till it was bubbling. I let in simmer for 5 -10 mins with some worcester sauce, basil, mixed herbs and garlic. After it'd simmered I tipped it all into an oven proof dish, mixed it all up and sprinkled chesse on top (out of my healthy extra), I sprinkled basil on top too. I baked it on number 6 I think for maybe 30 mins.

It was yummy, and I ate the 2nd half for my lunch today. Its funny until I started slimming world my husband did all the cooking, but now I cook and I find I'm getting the confidence to create lots of new things and to try new recipies.

mmmmmh sounds good....I was thinking of using just a normal dolmio sauce cause I dont have much time tonight, which is 14 syns for a 500g glass, and it will make about 4 servings, so that shouldnt be too bad, but your version sounds good as well........

Yeah it didn't take too long, but if you're in a rush might be best to save it for another time. I'm not sure what to have tonight, I'm on a green day. That dolmio bake is yummy, but I have to eat it with garlic bread so I'm not going there hehe.

What do you think about making a slimming world recipe thread where we can share ideas? The recipes seem to get lost in this thread, I don't mind starting one but I wanted to check if people would use it first.

Morning fellow slimmers,

The recipe thread already exists:
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...+world+recipes

I remembered it, cause when I searched for recipes on Google, this one came up and thats how I found this forum.

Had the Dolmio Pasta Bake last night, was yummy, used 2 A choices of Light cheddar on top of it....veery nice. Planning on making a chicken curry tonight, using the mayflower curry sauce.....cant wait lol....

OOh thanks for the link I'm glad that we've got a thread already, I'll get searching it. I'm really enjoying the challenge of cooking hehe. Make a nice pasta dish last night, I used the same basic recipie as I used for the pasta bake but basically made it pasta in sauce. Yummy!

It sounds silly but I'm struggling at the moment to eat up to 10 syns, usually I'm around 5, and that's not with me going hungry, do you think that's ok?

I think we're going to have gammon for dinner tonight, with lots of veggies and maybe new potatoes as a syn. I find I have more original days than green days, even though I love green days for unlimited pasta, I'm a pasta fiend lol.

Sounds nice....I love pasta! Could eat it every day, but I think my other half would protest at some point lol. He really loves the stirfrys I make tho, which is good, cause they are virtually syn free.

I usually don't eat all my 10 syns during the week, cause I know that I need more syns during the weekend. But I think it's absolutely ok to stick around 5 syns....the only problem I see with this is that if you use more syns the next week, you might not have a good loss.

You can use the new potatoes as a HEB choice, as long as they are in their skin.....

Default syns

Hi all, I honestly didn't see much difference with having more syns or not, If you can only manage 5 - 10 syns a day then don't push yourself, sometimes you find you could be having more and not realising it anyway, this can be with milk in your tea or coffee? not weighing things properly and just guessing syn values, it's really easy to do anyway.

Morning all,
It's weigh in day! I have absolutely no indication of how I've done this week, since I've been lazy and haven't been to the gym and didn't weight. Looking at my little book of horrors (my food journal) it seems that I've done ok....but I guess tonight will show. I really need to go back to the gym, but I've been working 8 to 5 this week and by the time I'm home and cooked dinner we usually cant be bothered anymore. Next week I'm on 7 to 4 again, then I will just go directly after work again.

I've made a chicken curry last night with the Mayflower curry sauce....It was absolutely delicious. Even my other half tucked in like theres no tomorrow lol....

Oh Helen, 2lb off, thats fab!!!! I'm well pleased for you.

I know about the excersise part....I have been conveniently blanking out the gym alltogether the last couple of weeks. Stupid really, cause when I went to the gym regularly the week before, I've lost 3lb.....I do need to go back, I do need to go back, I do need to go back.....

My weighin is tonight, so I'll let you know tomorrow mornign....

Good luck Moonchild.

I think I'm going to set myself a target of exercise in a week or month, not sure yet, I think it might help me, setting targets that I can achieve like that usually do. Isn't it funny how we know that exercise will get it off quicker but we still don't do it as much as we should.

I'm thinking about what to do at the weekend, I really want to spoil my husband, but I'm not sure what to plan, hmmm.

Kept meaning to ask, do you have any of the Slimming World cook books, and if you do would you recommend any of them, I've been looking at the Fast Food one in our local bookshop, quick and tasy food sounds like a good idea to me.
