Thanks for the welcome guys, you know as soon as I set my goal for loosing weight all I can think about is food how annoying is that ?
Ive ad a green day today had fruit smoothie for brekkie, cous cous salad for luch and a veg omlette for tea, would love some chips now ! do u really still lose weight eating the slimming world ones ? Moonchild my goal weight feels a million miles away for me! look how well u have done u will be at my start weight in no time A X A X |

Football is over at last, Rangers won, yay! Other half is very happy lol. Just been bouncing about, uploading some pics etc, preparing my fritatta for tomorrow. Have a toothache from ****, but the good thing is that it is keeping me from snacking. Gotta remember to call the dentist tomorrow. Helen, glad to hear that u are over ur bad spell, its always glad to see the ray of light. I'm feeling like a different person compared to last week. Proud of you that u overcame ur fear of the mouse. Im not scared of mice at all, but spiders scare the heck outta me. I've been on the pill constantly for a while now, doesn't really affect my loss I think. But a colleague of mine told me that she used to have an implant and when she had it taken out she ate a lot less..... Amanda, I know what u mean about the goals....as soon as I set myself my xmas goal I gained 2lb. A wee warning about smoothies, my coach told me that they are not free! If you only have one a week or so it should be fine, but since it is liquidised fruit the body doesnt see it as food, so it's syns. So be careful there. Regarding the SW chips...YES they are free, and absolutely great. I tend to be a bit lazy so I just use WW chips, and they are 2 1/2 syns for 1/4 pack..... Well, I'm off to bed. Until tomorrow xxx |
Thanks MC, I am feeling a lot better in myself, although now I have a killer sore throat and a sniffly nose. I went to aerobics last night and had a good workout, I felt a bit asthmatic while I was doing it, (although I've not had asthma for a few years), and then when I was done working out I got all shivery and my throat hurt, I'm guessing the breathing was because of my body fighting something off. I'm determind not to go down ill, I just got back into my exercise after holiday lol. We're out for a meal tonight with my parents to celebrate my mums birthday, I'm going to try to stick to a red day. The mouse hasn't fed on any of the poison for a couple of days :D I'm hoping that's the last we've seen of it, but I suspect it won't be, we've gone for a week before without seeing it. I'm not scared of spiders but last night a massive one ran across our living room and made me jump hehe, our house seems to attract spiders lol.
How you finding SW Amanda? I found after a couple of weeks of the programme I got into it and I now know pretty much how much my food costs syn-wise. I still record everything I eat though, it prevents me eating extra by accident lol. MC I was pretty pleased at the footy score too hehe, but for a different team Man Utd :D I hope your toothache is feeling better, its a horrible thing isn't it. Whenever I've set myself a goal to lose weight in a certain amount of time I've failed, mostly because of my own fault hehe. My weight goal is for April next year, but other than that I set myself little targets, like to stay on plan, to exercise, and to only eat off plan if I'm out for a meal or at a party etc. My other goal is to drink less at the weekend, and I'm not doing too badly at that. Oh and to cut down on chocolate, I've managed that, and I have an occasional (once a month) Crunchie 9 syns within my syn allowance. |
Well, got my dentist appointment today, so that should be sorted out...thank god! Going home soon and then take the train into town. Glad I'm under anestetic, then I won't be tempted by all the goodies in central station....hmmmm, maybe I should take the car in after all lol......

I hope the dentist goes well, my hubby has been having his root canal worked on recently. I've been updating my blog a lot recently, I find it really helps to rant my way through the week lol. It also gives me time to look back on the good times and the fun weekends. |
Eh ? smoothies arent free wheres the logic in that all I have is fruit which is free and ice ! they are so not bad for you so I think I will still have them I have a glass for my breakfast and it stops me from being hungry till lunch... mmmmmm

Yeh, took me a while to work that one out as well, but apparently it is because you liquidise the fruit, therefore your body does not recognise it as food and your metabolism doesnt kick in to process it. Its the same with fruitjuice, syns as well. I know, it sucks, I love fresh orange juice, but a glass of it is about 5 syns.....
Dentist went well I think, just escaped it being pulled out...so far. Stil hurts a bit, but probably because I was on that chair for an hour...was told if thats not solved it, the tooth has to go...or a root treatment... |
I'm at home sick today urgh. glad the dentist went ok. I maintained this week and was really annoyed till I measured myself I've lost 2 inches from most of my body in the last month which is the time I've been maintaining. At least the inches are going :)

Hey Helen, well done on the inchloss. I've been losing inches steadily, measuring myself monthly, and usually about 1 - 2 inches down. Your muscles probably increased and they are heavier than fat.
I got my WI tonight, and since I've been really good this week, I should have quiet a good loss...if not, I will be annoyed lol. Hope you feel better soon. But definetely a good day to stay at home on the sofa...it's horrible out there.... |

Well my WI wasn't great....stayed the same...yet again. It's sooo annoying!! My Teamleader said that I might have hit a plateau and need to kickstart my diet. Grrrr, I was well annoyed. But oh well, I figured because I had that KFC last Thursday and then altered my weekly start from Sunday to Friday, I probably had more syns than I realised. So I'm not giving up, sticking to it another week and then should see some results...I hope. At least I didn't gain. |

FF and Amanda, thanks for the password. I need to set myself a reminder every thursday, because I keep forgetting to ask lately lol. Amanda, good luck with your WI, hope you lost your 2lb. My weekend was so so....had TGI's on friday, but stayed on the green plan with some syns. Saturday was ok as well, had some crisps at night tho, but should be ok, and yesterday we did some major walking and jogging and had a on plan roast last night, only syns for the gravy. So if I stay mostly syn free this week, this week should finally give me a loss. If it doesnt, that would be very discouraging. Found some recipes for tomato soup and sweet potato soup. Will make them tonight and then have them for my lunches this week. |

Sorry I've not been around much this week. I've been in shock since my last WI - put on loads (haven't changed my ticker - I'm too depressed about it) :( and it's not as if I'd had an enjoyable blow-out or anything! Lets just say that my 3rd goal is no longer achieved :cry: :cry: :cry: I'm being investigated by my Dr as I may be starting to go through the menopause :eek::(:( and apparently putting on weight is a common symptom :cry::cry: I'm feeling completely fed up - after all my hard work! I'm going to WI tomorrow but my heart's not in it. After the awful WI last week I just overate for a couple of days and haven't been to the gym all week. Sorry to spend the whole email moaning:( love ff x |

FF, so sorry to hear that you've put on so much. But if it is really the menopause then there is the explanation. So don't worry about it. Still try to stick to the plan, speak to you TL about it and see what she says how to handle it. Don't let it discourage you. I've hit that plateau and I don't feel that I have lost anything this week either. But I will not give in!!! I will make an appointment with my doc as well, just to get a checkup and see if they can maybe put me on any drugs, like xenical or anything. I really need some extra willpower, Im just too weak when I'm by myself. Last night was so so. I am having trouble when I get home and my other half isn't there. I tend to snack more, and I gladly ignore all the healthy snacks. I do need to do something about that. Maybe just not go home after work lol... |

I've also had a terrible week last week.. put on loads (for no apparent reason btw) ! But I'm over it already, as what's done is done and we need to focus on the future! I have a quick question.. do you have any suggestion for a UK or European calorie counter, where you can record your food intake ? Bit like fitday.com but for the UK. I find that the measurments on fitday often don't make sense and they don't have all the foods we have over here. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Chin up girls! We can do this! Daniele |

Hi I lost my 2lb and 2lb more wohhooooooooooo I am so pleased 4lbs for my first week and I have just got my TOM to so not done so bad. I am hoping for my 2lb this week and so far so good. I have been out for a meal and I drank soda had minestrone soup, prawns and side salad rather than over indulge, I went out for a drink tonight and had 2 pints of soda water boring yes but good. I have set up a blog to, to keep an eye on myself

Yay, finally lost again....2lb down....not any closer to my goal yet, still the same when I started, but oh well.......at least I'm off the plateau, yay! Treated myself to some tear and share garlic bread after the meeting...mmmhhh....

Sorry I've not been around much - had some really sad news - my mum died suddenly a couple of weeks ago and things have been in such a whirlwind - the SW plan is out the window - if you have shares in any take away establishments then congrats - you're on a winner - the amount I've spect there!! I need to get back on plan - I just want to comfort eat ALL the time - I'm back in the old habits - constantly opening the fridge - buying crap and not cooking. I absolutely know I'm allowed to do this - I'm still in shock/disbelief but at the same time I don't want to put it all back on!! I want to keep going - she was so proud of what I'd already achieved x |
Oh Bubbly, that's very sad news...I'm so sorry, you poor thing. I'm sure you will find the strength within yourself to get through this. I know comforteating seems the only way now, but you will find it in you at some point and you will snap out of it. Just don't push yourself. The Bubbly we got to know is still in there, and you will certainly find her back. Just hang in there hun. xxxx

I'm back, feeling much better and back at work, I'm still a bit drained but sometimes you just have to get on with it and get over the rough feeling. I have TOM now which doesn't really help. Back on plan today, I've eaten badly over the last week, and obviously not been exercising, determined to get back onto the plan and get losing again. I've come off the pill now because since I was on it I hadn't lost any weight. Sorry to hear about your Mum Bubbly, you are in my thoughts :hug: Nice loss last week Moonchild, it's good to see you're losing again :) |

Im a pound and a half down this week. Not to bad considering its been TOM and I have eaten out on Fri, made some good choices wit my food so fingers crossed I get o my half a stone this week. Well done moonc hild you are on the move again, Bubby Im so sorry to hear about your mum, my thoughts ae with you, eat healthy food binge on that !!! then you wont feel guilty, a little of what you fancy never done anyone harm

Welcome Back helen, great that you are with us again. Been really quiet here the last couple of weeks. Good for you Amanda on the loss, thats great! My weekend was ok, went to have an indian last night, but I knew about it, so I've planned the rest of the week around it. Got lots of low syn meals lined up until Thursday, so that should balance it out again. Just having a sweet potato and chilli soup and it's lovely! Coming down with a cold just now, so soup is just what I needed. Made lots of it and put it in the freezer.... |
It's great to be back, I'm struggling today, I think it's because I'm a bit run down. I'll be ok though, just need to get back into the exercise and diet programme.

Aw, you sound like you've got what I had last week, I hope you feel better soon! I am trying to get back OP I have a little problem though, it was Chris's birthday at the weekend and he was given loads of chocolate, I keep being tempted by it. Fortunatly they are mini bars so I'm not too naughty, I know I need to stay OP though.
I won't be exercising today, I'm feeling rough still after my cold, and the slightest bit of exercise and I'm coughing all over the place. On a happier note our new sofas get delivered on Friday, I can't wait, I'm stick of being stuck with a broken sofa and chairs lol!! The mouse is dead (I can't remember if I told you that or not before), and I just got a jacket from the shop at work, a Gap jacket, I haven't fitted in Gap for years :) |

Helen, great to hear that the mouse problem has finally been conquered....hoorayyy!!! And even better, at least the new furniture will not be chewed on! You fit into GAP? I'm gobsmacked!!!! Good for you. Had a slight victory this weekend as well. Went to new look and tried on some jeans, size 18...but not a chance, couldnt even get it over my thighs....went to Wallis, and tried on a lovely size 18 dress.... and it fits! Looks great too, still got to wear a wee shawl or jacket over it, cause my fat arms don't look too great, but it fits! So my other half aka sugardaddy :wink: got it for me... Been sticking OP eventho I'm sick, but dont know if i will lose, cause been constantly sucking strepsils and all the medicine....but there is always hope.... |
That's awesome that you fitted into a size 18 dress, my hubby (aka toyboy ;) ) does the same and buys me nice treats hehe. I'm chuffed about the GAP jacket, its a XL, but heck who cares lol, I thought GAP XL would be like a size 14 hehe.
Sorry you're not feeling well, I am getting over mine now, my hubby has it now though, I feel really sorry for him and he's sneezing all the time. I've started using Dove intensive gel firming cream, I started off very synical but I'm now really impressed, I wanted something that firms up my chest. I read a couple of reviews of it online and I'm really impressed with it, of course I'm not any tighter or uplifted, but my skin seems firmer and looks much better. I've been using it for almost a week now and already I feel better about myself, I'm going to keep using it and see what happens. Being quite large chested I'm ready paranoid about saggy boobs lol! I wonder how Mel is, I miss her on here. Right, time to update my blog.... |
I'm pretty surprised today, I'm down a pound. I can't really believe it because I haven't eaten well and I haven't exercised. I'm really pleased.

Well, haven't lost anything, but haven't gained either, so I'm quiet pleased with that. \didn't work out this week at all, but will get back to it once I can breath again lol.

Yeh, feeling much better, still coughing, but at least I'm not all woozy anymore. Not up to much this weekend, might treat myself and get my hair cut. Mr. B. is on call this weekend, so we can't really go very far. Probably going to watch football on saturday afternoon. Rest of the weekend just stay in and cure that cold. The new SW magazine is out, so I will read it during lunch today and get some new ideas for next weeks plan. Going to be good, and go back to working out, so I should be ok next week again. Going to Germany next weekend....will definetely try to stick to the plan....but then there is my mums cooking....hmmmmmmm

I love the Slimming World mag, I'll have to get a copy over the weekend. I'm always determined to try the recipies but never get round to it lol. I liked last months with the free fridge magnets. Glad you're feeling better, you'll be fine soon and then we'll both be back to exercising.
What part of Germany are your family from? I've never been there although I've always fancied it. |
