Im off work today but in tomorrow. I have some uni work to finish but for some reason I just cant (or wont) get started. It has to be handed in on Friday! Kids went back to school today (Yaaaay :D) Im feeling motivated but Im a bit scared to goto my mams because theres so many crisps, biscuits and large mugs of sweet tea on offer! I'm back at work today, I'm on plan and I have so far managed to avoid the post Christmas choccys. I had a yummy breakfast of boiled egg, a slice of weight watcher bread and a muller light. I've got chicken and pastrami sandwichs for my lunch with a cold boiled egg and an alpen light bar :) Back to the gym tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it, I'm not looking forward to the exhaustion yet though or the aching. Right time to catch up on paperwork. |

Just finished my lunch (3sl WW bread, 3 boiled Eggs and VLF Helmans Mayo). Quiet full now. Felt a bit hungry just before lunch but got through it.
My next hurdle is the the hour when I'm alone in the house. It is soooo hard not to snack then. As soon as Mr. B is in, I'm fine, it's just that 1 hour that I'm in danger. But I'll try and keep myself busy with other things then. Going to have pasta for dinner tonight, not sure yet if I'll make a Carbonara or Arrabiata. Helen, great to see you back, and all back on the wagon...wweeeehoooo! Fea, I know how you feel, I'm dreading to go to my inlaws all the time, always sweets around....and if I don't go, Mr. B brings them back lol... |
Moonchild - Carbonara is the one with cream and/or egg isn't it so perhaps the arrabiata would be better (unless like me you are SO fed up of pasta sauce with tomatoes in it!). I know what you mean about the strange smells -I had a bit of an upset tummy before Christmas and my mum had one on the day plus my niece had one the day after.
I am still 'off' food - as in eating it but not really enjoying it much - mind you I cannot see how anyone can enjoy cottage cheese!!! I had to S-q-u-e-e-z-e into my trousers this morning - did a bit of a workout just getting into them! So I really must percevere this time! |
It's also good to have you back Moonchild, I missed you before Christmas, and I'm so glad you got back on the wagon. Peacock, that tummy thing has been horrible I know of a few people who have suffered with it, it's such a shame you had it over Christmas. Thanks sodredge, I try my best.
I've eaten my lunch and am dealing with the post lunch slump. I'm busy drinking Oolong tea and trying to stay warm in the office. I don't remember if I told you guys before Christmas that I got turned down for the teacher training I'd applied for, I was really upset about it, but then the next day my Boss basically promoted me to assistant manager in the place that I work now. I'm feeling quite positive about the whole thing. Right, I'm off to write my blog, feel free to check it out and comment, I tend to write all my junk there! |
Crazy Helen - ahh - I was not actually ill - that was a polite way of saying I was a farting hippo! just a bit 'offensive' to be near if you see what I mean - mostly silent but violent - and sometimes not that silent!!!! I was a bit worried when going to the hairdressers but decided not to say anything - she had a bit of a cold so maybe she did not notice? I did not have the 'runs' but just went a bit more than normal.

Dunno but i always laugh at the adverts abotu trapped wind! I wish I could trap it!!!!! Why does it wait until I am near people or holds back until people get in the lift!!!!

Well, I'm usually making the SW carbonara, which is syn free, in the mood for that. Well as expected I came home and snacked a bit. But TOM arrived today, so there is an excuse lol.
I know what you mean about the farts....our house has been smelling horrible the last 6 weeks, both of us. But there is no way to stop it I guess, just trying to eat healthy. But I find that since I've started Actimel it got a lot worse. Well Im off to make dinner now. Speak to u all tomorrow. |

I have started on the SW plan again. Last time was too much for me trying to attend meetings so I ditched it all (sorry Alison!) I have signed up now online which I am finding brilliant. 6 pounds off since Saturday!!!!! You know how people talk about puppy fat... I put on Christmas fat RAPIDLY so it is no surprise to me that is has gone just as quick but I love the fact that I am certainly not starving/hungry. (Forgive me as a nurse I can be quite explicit and TBH I think it was probably a VERY big jobbie!!! :o ) Anyway Hi :hug: and I look forward to catching up tomorrow. Hugs :lol: |

Well, got my WI tomorrow and I'm dreading it to no end. My first WI in about a month.... So far I'm mostly sticking to the plan, the odd snack in between, but nothing major. As of Thursday the reigns will be a lot tighter tho.......want to have a good loss next week. |

Moonchild you'll be fine at weigh in, remember you're back on track and doing really well. We've all had our slip ups but what's important is that you've picked yourself up and you're back on plan. How's boxing going? It's as windy here as it is up there, our work roof is very old and in really bad condition, I am hoping it stays where it is lol! I went back to aerobics last night, I'm struggling to remember why I missed going when I had two weeks off. I think every muscle in my body aches and last night I was so tired from it I was in bed really early. I'm going again tonight though :) my instructor seemed really fed up with us all as we we're all low on energy, she threatened to make us do the routine again unless we put more effort in, needless to say we ended up doing it twice ;) My face was bright red by the time I got home from the class from the hard work :o Busy day today but I'll try and post when I can! |

Well I have tried VERY VERY hard to read through all of this thread and am only on page 23!!!:yikes: I think I will continue to work my way through it bit by bit! It's just so lovely to have you all (well some have gone, some have stayed) doing so well! I am gobsmacked at the amount of weight you have lost and it really, really is an inspiration. I am doing really well with the plan. I have (and probably will) be sticking to mainly red days. I did Atkins for a while and it really worked (whilst I was on it). I don't know if the limitations of variety on the Atkins that I stuck to fastidiously (as is my nature as an all or nothing girl) meant that when I came off it I went to binge heaven and ate all the wrong things! The key for me is not to be limited (or "focused" on limitations) I need and thrive on knowing what I can eat and that I can do so freely. That is why I just know SW is going to be great! Well done again to those of you have just continued to bash away at it and with such good humour. I really look forward to being here with you! BTW... Mullerlight are 12 for £3 at tescos!!!! I am a Sainsburys girl (£2.50/6) but couldn't get quark there so went to the evil empire yesterday and discovered the bargain!!!! Hugs |

Well it was weigh in tonight and finally I lost...2lb - which for me is fab so I'm about back to the weight I was last June - ah well - its a loss. Trouble time for me is after the kids have gone to bed -i just seem to give myself licence to blow it all - really bizarre -I haven't found anything yet that distracts me - I'll do something and then get something to eat and I never go for free food - of course not. Tonight i attacked some dry roasted peanuts,a penguin biscuit and a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes...WHY??? Although do you know what typing that out made me realise I HAVE TO THROW THEM OUT!!!! I kid myself they're there for the kids but why on earth do i want to go and let them become future SW members - so i am braving the wind and rain right now to the big black bin outside...Wish me luck lol |

I have to make my kitchen "fiona" safe otherwise the temptation is just too much. Im now really worried that, after this great start Im going to somehow fail. Whether its by not losing next week, or having a gain or just losing the positivity I have at the minute - so Im taking it one day at a time. |
I'm so happy, I've lost 3 pounds this week, I am really surprised and so glad to be back in the losing ways. I've had a couple of red days this week but mostly green days. Green days are so much cheaper lol!
Didn't go to my class last night, I'm going tonight with my friend Jo, I was way too achy last night to move off the sofa. Hope everyone else has a good weigh in. Bubbly, I am exactly the same, if the things are there I'll eat them, the only way I get round it is by not having it in the house, that seems to stop me. I'm too lazy to go to the shop to fetch anything naughty lol! |
Hi girls, well done on the loss all, thats fab! I got my meeting tonight, won't be a loss, but a gain, since it's my first meeting in a month. But oh well, it's my own fault. So I will brave the shock with a raised head.
Made a chicken curry last night with the mayflower curry sauce from Farmfoods....absolute delish! Bubbly, I have the same....that hour that Im alone at home I snack like its going out of fashion....absolutely redicilous. I have no clue why either....I think I just need to get rid of everything that I could eat...... Going to have a baked potato with refried beans for lunch, yummy! |

Hi Ladies, went to my meeting tonight and all my fears became true...I'm back up to 18st again, absolutely shocking....Yuck, feels disgusted, 6 weeks and I gain 10lb.....and I couldnt even manage to loose 10 before that. But well, all the more reason the get back on track. ....forgot to ask for password....does anyone have it?

Well got password sorted out last night, went straight back on the website to log my weight and get some more recipe ideas. Threw all the naughties out last night as well, so I'm not tempted anymore. Told Mr. B if he wants sweeties to get them and take them to work...don't want them in the house.
So here I am, starting again. Got myself a new pukka pad for my weekly planning. While watching a movie last night I got all my recipes and started my planning. Also promised myself to update my blog more. So ladies, I'm officially back on board!!!! |
Aw Moonchild, sorry about that. I'm so glad you're on track now though :) I've been having a naughty day so far, 3 Quality Street, my boss went into a coma last night (he has a brain tumour) and we're all really upset about it here. Things won't get any better, I have two buffets to go to today for work *sigh*

I am too back again! I went completely off track with weight loss but have been going to the gym and started at a new group this wednesday. I have put on more than the first time i lost but the only way is down now (i hope!) Moonchild, nice one for gettin back into it, i know how hard it is! But at least you have that surge of motivation again. Also Helen, 3 quality street in tht situation is good going i'd say, its hard when you have difficult things going on. Well, up until yesterday I wasn't really motivated, even was thinking that it's probably not as bad as initially thought......but when I was on that scale everything changed. I'm on my 6th glass of water today, just finished my lunch and I'm full. Got some yoghurt and fruit for the afternoon and since I got shot of all the sweets in the house I should be fine in that 1 hour.
Helen, sorry to hear about your boss. Hang in there girlie, don't let it get you down.....and think about your next stone mark when you're at the buffets....eventho its sooooooo tempting...... Bex, welcome back. I know what you mean. Last year before I started SW I took a break from dieting as well and gained 7lb..... Lou welcome back....good god, and I thought I was bad lol......well so far I've been really good since my meeting. Just got back from the Beefeater and had a nice juicy steak with new potatoes on the side...yummmmm. Got another red day tomorrow, probably going to make a stirfry with lots and lots of chicken.....
We are planning our holiday just now, end of may hopefully, to the carribean....going to try to loose about 2st till then, but not setting myself an official goal...cause I learned my lesson the last time I did that lol...... |
Urghhh, monday morning 5 days ahead of us ladies.....well my weekend was good, had a chicken roast yesterday for dinner, and a nice fry up for brekkie...delicious. Didn't snack much and stuck on plan all weekend. TOM is finally gone, after getting me close to being anemic, so I'm full of energy and really looking forward to the boxing tonight.

I havent been as good these past few days as I was last week. I went to the footy and ended up having a burger. I threw it away cos it wasnt nice, but I still managed half! I had a pint of lager which was also horrible. Actually... when I come to think of it I wasnt really that bad. Ive been spot on other than that. The scales are showing another 2lb loss but I wont record anything until Wednesday. Hope you're all well x |
Well done Fea, the occasional slip should be allowed, and look, you're nearly at your mini goal there, thats fab.....it's bad tho isn't it...you eat a burger or something crappy and it tastes horrid, but you still eat it.....and feel pissed off with yourself afterwards.....grrrrr I tend to do the same thing!
Anyway, my day was good, just sitting here with a nice cup of hot choc, watching Batman......went to the boxing earlier, I'm absolutely knackered now..... |

I had a total blow out over the weekend and am really annoyed with myself. I need to learn that I won't lose if I don't eat well hehe. Sorry not been about much - I'm so busy at work and then ferrying kids to various things I just don't get time ...funny how I always fit eating in tho!!! Still struggling at night - i think I always will until I work out what is it that possess me lol but this week I started salsa - god the poor blokes I danced with were inwardly crying each time I came round - I stood on everyones toes and I'm no skinny chick to be hurled around - still I had a bloody good laugh. Swimming on Saturday and did 1/2 mile (32 lengths) in one go - took 40 mins but got there. And to top it all played badminton for an hour on Sunday -god my bum aches from that ...strangely. So alto eating not completely sorted ...yikes ...I may just have pulled it in with the exercise - weigh in on Wednesday - bugger thats tomorrow!!! I hate the feeling of dread!!!! |
Morning Ladies....I'm soooo tired today. Been to the boxing the last couple of nights, and I'm really sore...Plus I went past my 10pm mark last night and didn't get my 8 hours of sleep, which never helps. Foodwise it has been great the last few days, due to the fact that I didn't have any crap in the house to snack on in my 1 hour twilight zone. Got my WI tomorrow and I really hope I lost some.
So, bring on your WI today, I know it's D-day for most of you!!! Bubbly, wow, you've been really sporty these days, well done you! And I'm sure you will sort your evening eating out as well...I know it must be even harder with kids around, and therefore naughty snacks around.... |
I'm having a great week, I've been eating really well, lots of green days, and I've been to the gym *coughs* once! I'm playing on going to energise and tone tonight though. My tummy muscles are sore today, we do this exercise where we sit on the floor and twist from side to side with a weight, it really works your stomach muscles, that on top of about 100 sit ups lol! I'm really enjoying the gym again, it was pretty quiet last night which always makes the class much better. The class tonight I've only been to once before, it starts with aerobics and then moves on to using the balance ball, I find the balance ball great but very painful to use, it really challenges my muscles.
Life is just plodding along at the moment, my boss is still very ill, which is difficult. Home life is good, although money is very tight this month. I'm actually looking forwards to weigh in this week :) |
Great youre feeling so good Helen, that always helps....I'm the same, eventho my tummy muscles give me excruciating pain I feel really good, and eating this week has been great. I just hope I won't be too dissappointed if my weightloss isn't as high as I want it to be.
